Meininger Hotel Munchen Olympiapark

The staff very friendly, especially the receptionists. the location is very good to reach the city center, parking available, room very clean and great service. Breakfast is good, service at the bar the whole day. I can just recommend it!!

We stayed a few days in Munich and found this hotel hostel perfect for what we needed. We were a family of 5 and the room held us all. Very basic room, but clean and what you need if you are there just to sleep. The breakfast was better than expected with quite an assortment of food that suited everyone. It is not as far out of the center as I thought also. Short tram trip that is easy to work out.

I booked a stay through their website with the "flex" tariff, which allows the client to cancel free of charge until 6 pm on the day of arrival. I came to the hotel at 8 pm of a night with 50 cm of fresh snow on the ground, no tramway or bus working, and -8°C. They said they cancelled the reservation free of charge because I didn't show up by 6 pm, claiming that the "flex" tariff gives also the hotel the possibility to cancel. Of course, this was not clearly specified, and no communication whatsoever has been sent to my mailbox to inform me that the reservation had been annulled. I had to arrive there in the most extreme weather condidtions, just to hear them saying there was no room for me. Criminals.

Actually simple hotel, but all times they provided me and my wife rooms for the disabled people. Maybe there are no such people in the hotel. But looks very strange - second time, the same room. Not sure if they have different kind of rooms for 106 euro/night

Lovely hotel, kind of hostel. VERY hot in hot weather. No air conditioning meant that our room on the 4th floor was uncomfortable to be in for any length of time. The breakfast was good, busy at times with young children running about the place. Clean and staff were lovely

Avoid the hotel as much as you can❗️ They put you to pay extra money if you use the shower more than 10 minutes a day (for all the people) or if you use the air conditioning. They are not able to change a soap or a shampoo. The TV doesn't function. Cleanlines is an illusion.

Location is good if you go to a concert at the olympic stadium. But the rest was a disappointment. In the room there were clothes on the floor from previous guests. Sheets were dirty. Floor needed vacuum cleaning. We had pre-booked parking and got a parking lot, but that was by luck because there were nothing reserved for us. It was first come-first serve.

Amazing customer service! We needed a 3 person room at 1am after our previous booking fell through. The receptionist on the phone was really helpful with setting us up with the cheapest option and gave us brilliant advice on food options like the 24/7 McDonalds in the Hauptbahnhof. The rooms were spacious and have great views of the city landscape whilst the beds were comfy and the room were very cool given we were experiencing a heatwave. Would definitely advice using if you are looking for a budget hotel and don't want to use hostels.

It got up to 97° F (37° C) yesterday. The hotel has no air conditioning, which is the European norm. But the windows barely opened, and only one of them. It was so hot!! We took two cold showers each to get to sleep. When we returned the next evening after our adventures of the day, all of the windows had their handles removed completely. There was no way to open the windows at all. Nothing had been done to our room otherwise; no cleaning, trash, or linens. They only came in to disable the windows. Another member of our group spent part of the night in the lobby, where it was marginally cooler. She asked about a fan, since there was neither air conditioning nor a window that would open. She was advised to take a cold shower. She said that she had indeed taken a shower. He then recommended that she jump in the lake. We told them (the desk staff) that there was no toilet paper in the bathroom in the lobby area. We were informed that housekeeping could take care of it the next day. The breakfast was good, and the bathroom was pretty nice.
