Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Murfreesboro

We arrived at 9pm and not a soul in sight. Lobby was partially dark. I rang the bell and no one came. Rang it again ten minutes later and no one came. I finally texted the ******* concierge and about a minute later a young man in casual attire popped out from a room, I think. He went behind the desk and waited for me. Very friendly, but I wasn’t sure at first he worked there. I was asked to have my credit card on file in case I left any damage to the room. Made me a little nervous because I’d never had another hotel do this. The breakfast buffet was not the standard you get most places. No eggs. Nothing made hot. Just a few cold items. The pool was out of service. Weird hard pillows. I could feel the mattress springs in my back. Rough towels. The room was clean, but getting run down. A strong spicy smell, like cheap cologne, in areas was giving me a headache. The room was clean and orderly and the front desk person was friendly, however I got the impression he was the only person working there.

The hotel was fine for the price and my purpose: I was there for my daughter’s soccer tournament and it was close to the fields. However, I prefer a location that has sidewalks to walk to the nearby shops. Here you felt like you were walking in an industrial park.

Stayed in a first floor room, the walls were very high 10 foot or more. The bed was very comfortable.The hotel was quiet and clean. Just a basic breakfast was offered. I would stay there again.

They put me in a room that was essentially on top of the Highway. Room 301. The hotel was no where near capacity. I didn’t realize it until I tried to go to sleep. I’m guessing the rooms price was lower but seriously? The place was empty!!

The smell of a sweet smelling cleaner (I think?) in the lobby and hallways was over powering. The ceiling in the bathroom (moldy/rusty) was unsettling to the point where we didn’t feel comfortable taking a shower. The couch had lots of stains and didn’t look like sanitary seating. The missing pieces of the red accent wall made it look a little 3rd world. The strong smell of tobacco smoke walking outside was very strong a couple times. We left before the staying our 2nd night (even though we already paid) as it just wasn’t a very pleasant experience for us.

The room was dirty. There was gum stuck to the headboard, trash under the couch, and the bathroom ceiling was covered in mold. The check in process took a long time. The parking lot was covered with ice and there was no attempt to clear it.

I appreciated the proximity to so many dining options. The staff we encountered were also great. The hotel was clean, though the air freshener near the lobby was a little strong for my taste. However, I found the bed to be incredibly uncomfortable as the mattress was quite firm. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special, think: cereal (two kinds), bagels, mini muffins (if there are any left), waffles, toast, and yogurt cups. Despite that, I did appreciate that they didn’t seem to be in a huge hurry to pack things up right when breakfast was “over.” Overall, a pretty good hotel, I just can’t sleep on the bed.

There was no one at the front desk when I went to checkout. I just left my key at the computer for anyone to take. Also, the breakfast was almost nonexistent. Add some warm sausage egg and cheese biscuits or something, not cold/frozen pieces the size of my thumbnail.

The room was a great value compared to other properties in the area in the same price range.
