Great place to stay. Authentic Tulou. The lady who runs the hotel was very friendly and helpfull. She also told us some intersting things about the Tulou and let us taste her homegrown tea. The rooms are basic but nice. The hotel is within a Tulou 'themepark'/touristtrap for which it is required to pay 90 rmb per person to get in and in order to reach the hotel. The ticket office for foreigners is about 2-3 km away.

This homestay is a great place to experience what living in a tulou looks like. Perhaps it doesn’t have the quietest (thin walls and windows) nor the most luxurious rooms you could find in the picturesque village of Yunshuiyao. That is however perfectly normal for a traditional wooden building that it more than 100 years old! And it is yet very comfortable, even cozy! Moreover, the owner is remarkably friendly and helpful, the homestay is very clean and well-managed, it is located 10-15 minutes by walking distance from the main sightseeings of Yunshuiyao village, which has nothing to envy to more famous places like the Tianluokeng tulou cluster. I can definitely recommend staying at this place to people who want to dive into Hakka people’s culture and experience Chinese hospitality!

Well kept tulou with clean and simple rooms. Perfect to experience a night in one. We got a room with a private bathroom on the 3rd floor. Great view and pretty lit up at night. If you’re a light sleeper, be aware that you can hear noise from other rooms and nature outside. It didn’t bother me, but something to consider if you need silence to sleep.

Fuqian Building, sitting in the building, daydreaming, time slowly passed I have always wanted to see the Fujian Tulou, and this time I finally got my wish and stayed in Fuqian Building in Longyan, a round Tulou B&B. This experience is absolutely amazing! I really felt the ancient flavor that seeped out from the old times, and the extremely heavy cultural atmosphere, it was too addictive! I fell in love with this ancient flavor at first sight From a distance, I saw Fuqian Building, like a big round plate, firmly sitting between the mountains and rivers. The earth wall, at a glance, is quite old, mottled, and feels like it can tell a lot of stories. This round building is particularly matched with the surrounding green mountains and waters. It is simply a perfect work combining nature and the wisdom of the ancients! Walking in, the big wooden door and thick pillars, a simple and mysterious flavor came to my face, and I felt like I had traveled back to the past, back to that ancient era. There are doorways everywhere in the building The layout inside Fuqian Building is amazing! There is a large round patio in the middle, and the rooms are built around the patio. Walking up the wooden stairs, the footsteps are "dong dong", like the echo of history. Each floor is different. There are places where everyone can play together, and there are also quiet little worlds. The rooms on both sides of the corridor are neatly arranged, and there are many beautiful patterns engraved on the doors. Every little detail reveals the unique flavor of the earth building. The cultural flavor is so strong that it cannot be dissolved Here, every brick and every tile seems to hide an old story. The owner of the homestay is very enthusiastic and knows the culture of the earth building. He will tell you how the earth building was built, what legends their family has, and the local customs and habits. In the public areas of the earth building, there are also many books and pictures related to the earth building culture, so that you can have a good understanding of the past and present of this earth building. At night, sitting in the patio, looking up at the stars, listening to the boss telling stories, I felt that time slowed down, and I could really feel the passage of time and the inheritance of culture. That feeling was amazing! The service was considerate, like going home The service was also excellent. The eldest sister was enthusiastic, and everything was arranged properly from the time you entered the door to the time you left. The room was impeccably clean, the bed was very comfortable, and there were all the facilities.

When I came to Yunshuiyao, Nanjing, my friend recommended this Tulou B&B. The experience was really great. The overall environment was clean and sanitary. If you have trouble sleeping at night, this is the right place. It is super quiet and comfortable. The owner is very nice and personally cooked a delicious breakfast for us. The B&B is located right in the center, with many restaurants around, and it is very convenient to go to Heguilou and Huaiyuanlou. On the way back, I was worried that I couldn't get a taxi, and the owner helped me call a taxi. Thank you very much.

There are many homestays in Yunshuiyao, but not many of them are earthen buildings. This is a round earthen building homestay, the largest earthen building homestay in Yunshuiyao. B&Bs operated by state-owned enterprises are more formal and cleaner than those converted from local people’s own homes. The name of the earth building is Fuqian Building, which has a good meaning. During the Chinese New Year holidays, there were live performances in this homestay. We arrived at 8:30 pm on New Year's Eve, and the performance was almost over, so we didn't see it. When we arrived, it was almost over. There were 10 banquet tables in the earth building, and there was a very Chinese New Year atmosphere. The lady who runs the B&B is a local and very welcoming. We arrived on New Year's Eve and were recommended a restaurant. The food was grown at home and was delicious, the portions were generous and the price was very affordable. The next day, the lady who runs the B&B prepared breakfast for us. The noodles were delicious. While eating breakfast, we listened to the lady talking about the local customs and culture. It's like hiring half a tour guide. My eldest sister is also good at taking photos. Before leaving, we took beautiful photos of the earth building for our family of three. Taking photos in a B&B is very good, but in a scenic area there are too many people and it is difficult to take good photos. In short, this homestay is the best choice to experience the Tulou style.

Excellent service + authentic Tulou + excellent location + affordable price! ! ! After living abroad for a long time, I came back to celebrate the New Year. I drove all the way from Shanghai with my family and pets. There are three places in China that I want to visit: Tibet, Jiuzhaigou, and Fujian Tulou; especially the animated film "Big Fish and Begonia" a few years ago, which has a plot about Tulou. I found this accommodation temporarily on Ctrip. It was an authentic Tulou with a very affordable price. The service was especially touching. The boss lady was warm and down-to-earth. After I called the ticket office at the scenic spot to communicate, she was waiting by the roadside early. The paths in the scenic spot are narrow, the navigation is winding, there are many cars, and we often have to merge with other cars. We also encountered the car in front of us falling into a ditch (which was thrilling to watch). We saw a kind auntie wearing high-heeled leather shoes and a skirt helping to push... After we arrived at the B&B, the auntie followed us and said hello, and we learned that she was the boss here, and the person who fell into the ditch was not a guest here. She also mentioned details such as my family being unwell later. This auntie is really kind, and it’s not because she does this business, but because of the kindness of human nature. Before leaving, the family photo she helped to take made us exclaim "WoW" again and again 👍It is very close to the core attractions such as Tulou (if you stay here, those popular check-in Tulou will be Fuyun), the big banyan tree, and the waterwheel, only a few minutes' walk; there are also many farm dishes nearby (some of them are overcharged and we have encountered them). It is recommended to buy a set meal on Dianping.com, at least the price is clearly marked. Although there are many people in Yunshui Yao Scenic Area, the experience is not bad. This accommodation experience is really pleasant! Of course, we have to be honest. Since the bathroom in the Tulou is a later renovation, please manage your expectations. I wish you all have fun and I hope the boss auntie will do better and better!

The purpose of staying here is to experience the life in Tulou. The hygiene, environment and facilities are very good under the objective conditions of Tulou. The transportation is convenient, not far from the scenic spot, quiet and not noisy. The host is thoughtful and organized. If you want to experience Tulou accommodation, I recommend staying here.

It is an authentic earth building. You can smell a faint wood fragrance when you enter the room. It is very hot outside but also very cool in the room. The yard is very big. There are few people taking pictures and it is very interesting. The landlady is super enthusiastic!

I went to Nanjing specifically to see the Tulou and randomly chose Fuqianlou Tulou B&B to stay. Unexpectedly, I found a treasure B&B. The owner’s grandmother was very enthusiastic and took the children to pick tea on her own tea mountain. She also taught the children how to make tea. The science tea culture also takes children to watch various insects to increase their knowledge. A bonfire party was also organized in the evening, and the children had a great time! Just paying the room fee and study activities, it is really cost-effective.

The beautiful earth buildings are beautiful during the day and at night, and the photos are beyond photos. They are not inferior to the earth buildings in scenic spots, quiet and comfortable. The boss was warm and hospitable. He invited us to drink tea and chat with us. He also made breakfast for us the next morning. The eggs were super delicious. Very authentic living atmosphere, you can come again.
