Hotels Near Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo in Nanjing

The hotel is very clean. The ladies at the front desk are very welcoming. The room is very bright. It is very suitable for families with children. The subway is just outside the hotel. Several restaurants around are delicious. Hongshan Forest Zoo is just a few steps away. It feels so good to go to the hotel after a day of fun. There is no need to run back and forth. The price is also very reasonable. The breakfast is also delicious. It is excellent. I will come again next time I visit the zoo. 🤗

The room is very clean. I booked a business king room with a 1.8m bed. It is spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is also very clean. It feels newly opened and the facilities are quite new. I took my children to Hongshan Zoo, which is very close. It takes only 5 minutes to walk to the north gate. Moreover, children under 1.4 and over 60 years old are free at Hongshan Zoo. On the first day, adults took them to play for a day, which only cost 40 yuan. On the second day, the elderly took the children to play for half a day, and the ticket was 0 yuan, which was economical and affordable. There was also breakfast the next morning. The small wontons were delicious, and the Yangchun noodles with tomato scrambled eggs were also good👍. The room is on the 3rd floor, and it is quiet to sleep at night. The air is good with the window open. Before leaving, I also gave a small gift for leaving the store. This thought is quite touching. I feel that Nanjing people are really straightforward and generous.

It was my first time to fly from Hunan to Nanjing, and I went to Lukou to transfer to Nanjing Station and visit Xuanwu Lake. I booked Huaifeng the night before, which was more painful than being in prison. It was too cheap. Then I booked Qi Ke. Although I was very depressed that I couldn't cancel online at first, after arriving at the site, I found that it was next to the north of Nanjing Station, and the entrance was at Exit 5 of Line 3. The apartment mall was convenient. More importantly, the interior environment of the room was great, the lighting was good, the bed was clean and comfortable, there were tables and chairs, and central air conditioning! You can order takeout and deliver it to the front desk, and orders from four or five kilometers away are very fast. There are also fitness equipment and conference rooms in the hotel, and the bathroom and toilet are good. The front desk lady is beautiful and sweet, very considerate. Although there are fewer hooks in the room, and the air conditioning control needs to be operated by the front desk, and I am not used to the big bathhouse in the north, the faucet is a bit loose and insensitive. But the overall flaws are not enough, it is beyond expectations, I love it.

Location - good, nearby to Nanjing train station, but need to know how to walk to hotel, go to the right exit (i went wrong exit and had to walk on road for approx 15mins). Local train/subway at doorstep. Approx 1 hour to airport by taxi. Easy to get taxi on Didi (walk to main road next to convenience shop, then book taxi) Nearby F&B - has lots of small restaurants, and a Burger King within walking distance. Also has a couple of small convenience shops around. Service - excellent and friendly front desk staff. Gave me a free breakfast upon knowing that i booked room without breakfast :). Upon check in they served a small warm cup of lemon water. Upon check out, they offer a small bottle mineral water. Room - nice layout, sink is outside bathroom and open area. As per other reviews, the cleanliness is acceptable but not 100% (not for OCD people). Amenities - toothbrush, handsoap, body wash, shampoo, etc all available Drink availability - has kettle and some tea leaves to make tea Laundry - free washer and dryer on 3rd floor to DIY your laundry Security - key card entry into hotel floor, has a security on 1st floor. Breakfast - nice small spread of local food. Has also some limited international selection like toast & eggs, and fruits. Has coffee machine and can takeaway coffee. Overall, i would use this hotel for the location and their friendly staff as well as free laundry.

The hotel is very close to the train station and the subway entrance. The subway entrance is right outside the door. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the North Square of Nanjing Station. It is very convenient to the Nanjing Museum, the Presidential Palace, and the Memorial Hall of the Victims of the Japanese Aggression. It is not far to take a taxi to other attractions if you don't want to take the subway. When I left, the train was checking tickets at the South Square, which took 10 minutes to walk. I entered the station from the North Square, but the staff asked me to check tickets at the North Square directly, which saved me a lot of walking. The hotel facilities are a bit old, but the service of the staff is really good, very enthusiastic, and always greeted with a smile. I specially chose a room with windows, which is not noisy at night, and I, who have poor sleep, can sleep well. The manager in charge of breakfast is also very enthusiastic, and it would be better if there were more types of breakfast.

It is very close to the train station, within a 10-minute walk. The subway and the train station are together, and you can reach Hongshan Zoo in one stop. Xuanwu Lake is opposite the hotel, and the view outside the window is pretty good. However, the shower in the bathroom is broken, and the water flows directly from the pipe connection, which is difficult to use. I hope it can be replaced. Overall, it is quite good.

Overall, it is a good hotel. It is a short walk from Nanjing railway station and close to the lake. The room appeared clean; however, one towel had hairs on it, and the other had dirt on it. Other guests were noisy and could be heard in the room.

Overall, experience was quite good and service in Shangri-La live up to expectations! Location wise hotel is placed nearby metro station, walking distance around 300m. We were living on the 38 floor with good city overview. Room was clean and tidy, quite comfortable and convenient. There is a nice lobby bar with good choice of food and drinks, live music. Very wide choice of food at breakfast. There are things to mention for Shanghai-La to probably think of…firstly, breakfast time was quite crowded every day and some days we had to stand by to be seated, secondly, given the fact that it’s a five star hotel, cleanliness of breakfast area, as well as smell (ventilation wasn’t working properly) should be improved, last, but not least, we don’t understand table cleaning approach: staff moving around with a big trolley to clean up tables of the food waste just by throwing it to garbage bin while you are just a few steps away of that having breakfast, not even mentioning that there is no sorting at all, everything goes to same bins. Why not to clean the table by just removing dirty dinnerware and to do the rest in back house. With five star hotel I definitely would expect more attention to be paid for hygiene factors!

Westin is always a trustworthy brand. We had a great time staying there. My younger daughter saw a hotel advertising about group running program they offered and asked about it. Even though my daughter was the only one signed up for morning run the next day, a hotel employee happily accompanied her runing around the beautiful Xuanwu Lake. Great service.

Seamless check in and check out. Very efficient and polite ground staff. The hotel provides a very peaceful and comfortable environment. The room is comfortable and I enjoyed sipping a cup of hot tea while admiring the amazing view with the ventilation window opened to enjoy the cold air. Toilet is fitted with Grohe accessories and the rain shower is so comfortable.
