"The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Even though the hotel is located in a very busy part of the city, the room we had was very quiet and we couldn't hear any traffic noise. This hotel is very near to the tourist attraction, Fuzimiao and one can find all sorts of local foods to sample in the vicinity. Another good thing is the entrance to Fuzimiao metro is short distance away."

"The hotel is conveniently located and easy to find. There's direct underground access from Xinmofan Malu Metro Station on Line 1, and it's just a short walk from there to the hotel. Upon check-in, the front desk informed me my room wasn't quite ready, but they kindly upgraded my room type, allowing for a smooth check-in. While the room itself was satisfactory, there was a noticeable sewage smell coming from the bathroom sink. I contacted the front desk, and they immediately dispatched an engineer who promptly resolved the issue. Kudos to their incredibly swift and effective response! Even when I woke up late on the second day, the front desk proactively called to inquire when I'd like housekeeping service. Overall, this was a very pleasant stay, and I'll definitely choose Ascott for my future stays in Nanjing!"

MManinka_123I honestly don’t have enough words to explain how good this hotel is. The location is perfect—right in the center of Nanjing, directly opposite Deji Plaza—
making it incredibly convenient.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the people. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel so welcome. The front desk team was extremely friendly and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile to assist with anything I needed. The restaurant staff were equally wonderful. Since I am a foreigner, they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, often bringing me different salads and soups to try, which was such a thoughtful gesture.
Room service was excellent, and the amenities were top-notch. My room was spacious, well-maintained, and very comfortable.
I also have to mention the doormen who helped with our vehicle and luggage. They quickly became so friendly and welcoming, greeting me every time I passed by. I even found myself waving back to them. it was such a small but heartwarming part of my stay.
Overall, this hotel exceeded every expectation. The perfect combination of location, service, and comfort. I can’t ask for anything more and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nanjing.

LLinjudegouI brought my sister here for a trip before university started. We heard they offer quite a spread, boasting five meals a day. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, while lunch and afternoon tea were just average. The service was genuinely thoughtful and incredibly responsive – they truly catered to our every need! A huge shout-out to our driver! He was incredibly eloquent, sharing fascinating insights into Nanjing's history throughout our rides. My sister remarked that he clearly not only loves his job but also has a deep passion for Nanjing! Staying at The Ritz-Carlton made it incredibly convenient to visit places like Deji Plaza, Jiming Temple, and the Nanjing Museum. Oh, and a side note: the hotel toothbrushes were surprisingly the most comfortable we've ever used!

DDidiaoThe service needs to be improved. Before entering the room, mineral water and slippers were placed on the floor at the door, and you had to pick them up yourself. To be honest, I have never seen such a thing in any hotel I have stayed in. Also, the night light in the room I stayed in occasionally flickered, probably because it was broken. Other aspects were ok, the room decoration style was good, and the decoration was quite new.

SSandylfOur children absolutely loved it, and it completely exceeded our expectations! We booked a 3-day, 2-night presale package and made our reservation a day in advance. Our room directly overlooked Shisan Garden, and opening the balcony door was incredibly refreshing. The front desk staff and bellhops were excellent; our luggage was promptly delivered to our room. The children's amenities also arrived very quickly. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The kids enjoyed a bath while watching TV in the tub, and we parents could work at the desk without disturbing them or each other.
What the children were most excited about was the swimming pool and hot springs; they played there multiple times and absolutely loved it! In the hotel lobby, there was a sachet-making activity for 28 RMB. It was a hands-on experience where children learned to weigh traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) ingredients using a small brass scale, following recipes and specific proportions. They pounded the herbs, bagged them, and then chose their sachet design. Our child learned about the markings on ancient scales, made their own fragrant sachet, and carried it around everywhere, unwilling to let go.
The hotel also provided complimentary tickets to nearby attractions. We didn't visit the fruit orchard for picking as it was outside the main resort area, but all the other attractions were excellent and easily accessible by either the hotel shuttle or the park's own shuttle service. Shisan Garden itself is both exquisitely designed and grand, with beautiful scenery at every turn – it's definitely worth taking your time to explore. The children had a fantastic time at Baobao樂園. The 'Braveheart Adventure' activity, costing an additional 30 RMB for one adult and one child, was also quite reasonably priced. Yangshan Stele is also worth a visit. Sitting in a pavilion by the lake, the cool mountain breeze instantly dispelled the summer heat.
The Chinese restaurant served excellent food. My husband, who hails from Nanjing and is quite a picky eater, couldn't stop raving about the salted duck, so we ended up having all our lunches and dinners at the hotel. We had originally planned to extend our stay for another night, but unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked for the weekend. No worries, we'll definitely be back!

PPearl NohWe stayed here to spend our time in a quiet and nature friendly place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This hotel staffs are extremely friendly, including宁宁&雪雪. All the decorations were elegant and stylish, allowing everyone to enjoy every corner of the hotel. Climbing Qixia mountain in the morning and listening to the singing bowl session was also a surprisingly wonderful experience. Breakfast was Chinese style but there were some toast and serials as well.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location; turn right upon exiting and you're directly at Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple), making it incredibly convenient for exploring. There's also a very nice tea house downstairs, which is a great option for elderly guests who prefer not to venture out. The themed rooms are quite unique. My child, who usually avoids writing at home, spent time daily practicing quick-dry calligraphy here – that was truly a delightful surprise!
Now, regarding the service. As expected from a five-star hotel, the service was truly exceptional. We had elderly family members with us, and the hotel even provided a wheelchair...
This time, I had booked two twin rooms, which were conveniently arranged opposite each other. To my surprise, my room didn't have a shower stall, yet the room for the elderly guests opposite did – quite peculiar. Due to a knee injury, I couldn't use a bathtub, so I requested a room change. To my delight, the hotel immediately upgraded me to a suite, which was fantastic service! However, the suite only had one king-size bed and a camp bed. My son is too old to share a bed with me, so I ended up sleeping on the camp bed, which wasn't very stable. Still, considering they had already accommodated my request by changing my room, I didn't make a fuss.
On the downside, the hotel's WiFi was very poor – perhaps a common issue with older establishments. The room lighting was also quite dim. Additionally, the soundproofing was an issue; my room seemed to be next to an elevator shaft or an electrical room, as there was constant noise throughout the night that kept me from sleeping. I eventually had to ask the front desk for earplugs to solve the problem. Despite these minor drawbacks, I'd say it's still a pretty good hotel overall.

The hotel is in a good location, only 15 minutes from Nanjing Station, very convenient.
The pot stickers and duck blood vermicelli for breakfast in the hotel are very good🤭🤭, very Nanjing-style and authentic.
We also checked in for the camp barbecue, but the weather was not cooperative and the wind was a bit strong.
The children also went to the children's club, which was well received👏👏👏

GGrace CallejaMy 82 year old mom, sister and myself booked a 2BR suite at this place for 3nights and 4 days. We were in Nanjing for a leisurely vacation from the Philippines. The place is very unassuming. A modest entrance and lobby but the room, beddings, towels, bathrobes, toiletries and even slippers were top-notch!. Loved the scent of their shampoo and body wash. The suite itself and the rooms were very spacious. Even the toilets are spacious! My mom even chided that it was tiring to walk from one room to the other! The rooms and toilets were equipped with automatic curtains and blinds. Although most of the staff could barely speak any English, everyone was very kind, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast buffet that is packaged with the room stay was also superb! So many choices despite few guests. It was mostly a spread of Chinese dishes but I couldn't ask for more! There is a free laundry room in the building! There is a small convenience store and a Luckin Coffee at the ground floor of the building. It is also very easy to get a taxi just outside the building. Added Bonus: this place is just a few steps away from the famous Librairie Avant-Garde (the IG worthy bookstore). Overall, I love Suning Universal Hotel All-Suites! I highly recommend it to all travelers who plan to visit Nanjing. Attached photo is taken from the ground floor of the hotel.

GGuest UserThank you to the staff for upgrading my room – it was very nice! The location is great, very close to Terminals 1 and 2. The service was excellent; the staff were always trying to help with anything I needed. There’s also a Lawson convenience store just 5 minutes from the hotel that’s open 24 hours, which was really convenient.

GGuest UserAbsolutely loved my stay here! The environment was spacious, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. What's more, the location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from all the major tourist attractions. My first night in Nanjing, I stayed at a different place – a 330 RMB room that was so cramped and uncomfortable I simply couldn't bear it. I was actually booked for three nights there, but I quickly switched to this much more comfortable option. The price difference was negligible, only an extra 40-50 RMB per night, but the value for money was incredibly superior. They even offer a complimentary Americano coffee daily, which was a lovely touch! Oh, and a side note: the private kitchen restaurant right next door serves amazing food; I ate there twice during my three-day trip to Nanjing.
