This was my third stay at the Goldi Sands, honestly, the last time was nearly 20 years ago but I had such a great time back then I had high expectations. In the intervening 20 years, the hotel has had a revamp, double the size, double the number of swimming pools, added an elevator and they've removed the beach-fronted bungalows. All of which I think was a smart move and well worth doing. What has changed is the service and the catering. The staff are of course all very polite just that they didn't go the extra mile like they used to. We arrived late as our flight had been delayed, all I wanted was a couple of bottles of beer, they did arrive but I almost had to beg. I booked a taxi to the airport with the front desk, but they forgot, the waitresses at dinner were all about the hard upsell rather than serving. The breakfast as far as my memory serves me used to be awesome, today's breakfast is the same every day and lacks imagination, is poorly presented, and includes the worst coffee ever. The hotel has a confusing number of tariffs from all-inclusive to room only which means if you want to buy a drink it takes forever as they have to check your ”status” and then if you pay cash they have to go to the cashier as they carry no float. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable but basic. All in all it is still a good hotel to choose but sadly it is no longer in the memorable category.

Breakfast is generally but a large amount, relatively simple, medium and medium rules. The room is huge, the bathroom is huge, there are slippers, but there is no toothpaste toothbrush, no water, the hotel door has a small supermarket in a few tens of meters, it is convenient, there are food, there are fruits. The hotel is not far from the north of the lagoon, the hotel beach is good.

The hotel is very good, I set the annex, it is opposite, noisy along the street, but the rooms are relatively clean. In addition, you can enjoy all the equipment in the main building. The swimming pool is nice and the hotel has a private beach which looks great. The service staff were very good. Breakfast is very generous, single room set, but with children, only 850 rubles (33 yuan) for half-price breakfast. The next day I stayed at the Jetwing lake hotel under Lion Rock, great!

We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful resort. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Room was well equipped and comfortable with all the amenities. Nice sea view rooms. This is the best place in negambo if you search a relaxing holiday. Pool and surroundings are amazing. Restaurant staff were friendly and always with a smile. Special thank to chathuranga. The hotel seats are relatively partial, but the privacy is strong. I stayed on the second floor with my friends and shared a swimming pool. My friends took a few photos with drones. The staff were warm and thoughtful. The breakfast and dinner were in the villa. The chefs are good at cooking. , Also sent us local wine and yogurt, the payment is settled in US dollars. In the evening listening to music and birdsong, watching the stars, occasionally fireflies fly by, children playing in the swimming pool, the years are quiet, but the next day the plane returns to Shanghai. The boss is American, and the service staff are all locals. If you have the opportunity, stay a few more nights in the future. Push

I arrived in the evening and left in the morning. I had breakfast and walked around on the beach without going to the swimming pool. Room: Very big, the bed is two meters wide (later I found out that all jetwing hotel beds are 2 meters wide). We originally wanted an extra bed, but the guy at the front desk suggested that we check the room first and then see if we want it. Extra bed... He can give an extra bed sheet in case three people are uncomfortable - a big thumbs up. Pushing open the balcony door and facing the beach and the sea directly, with a few coconut trees dotted around it and the sound of waves rumbling, I feel very good. The room facilities are old, but the hygiene level is good. There is no toothbrush provided. Because the first floor is close to the sea, there are very, very many mosquitoes. Please be sure to bring mosquito water. The breakfast is good. The standard of Sri Lankan catering is very low. I thought it was just average at first. Later, after completing the journey and staying in more and better hotels, I found that this place is not bad - the point is that this one is very, very cheap! Compared with other jetwings that often cost 1800+, the price/performance ratio is incredible. (Of course the overall level is definitely lower than jetwing yala and lighthouse)

This hotel exceeded our expectations in the best way possible. It was clean, cosy, the staff was very friendly and helpful regarding all our needs, and the place is, like, 3 minutes to the beach. What I would really like to highlight was the cooking. Breakfast was amazing!
