"Nice hotel, rooms are clean and spacious. Service on the resort is great. Resort has 3 swimming pools and beachfront. However, the beach was not clean, was a lot of garbage on the beach. Maybe due to a season, we couldn’t swim in the ocean. Overall our stay was pleasant. The main restaurant had strong understanding of dietary restrictions and was able to provide us gluten free meals, including gluten free bread."

"I stayed for a couple of nights in November 2025, and when I came back to Negombo in February 2026 for a 2month stay, I resided here with the exception of 1 night. It was great value, perfectly situated just above 'Honey Beach', and in the centre of all the amazing bars and restaurants in Negombo. It certainly wasn't a 5-star hotel, but everything was perfect for what it was, and it was great value for money. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and I have no complaints whatsoever. 58 lovely nights."

"Very dark and not very inviting on first arriving at reception. Receptionist took nearly 10 minutes to find our booking paperwork because of a spelling error. I was bitten a dozen times whilst we waited in reception to be shown to our room there didn't appear to be any citronella or any other attempts to deter mosquitos or biting insects in reception or the bar. The lift doors wouldn't close on our arrival and still weren't working the next morning. Breakfast was really good. Arrived too late to make use of the pool but the water looked slightly green so didn't try it the next day."

"I stayed in an apartment-style room from November 8th to November 22nd. The natural surroundings, friendly staff, food, and facilities were all wonderful, making for a truly wonderful vacation. The food was vegetable-based Sri Lankan Ayurvedic cuisine, with a milder spiciness for international guests, so I looked forward to every meal. I was able to consult with a doctor daily, and I was able to tailor my treatment to suit my condition that day, which was very reassuring. Yoga and meditation every morning and evening also helped me maintain a healthy mind and body. The therapists were all professional yet friendly. There were also many other activities available, making each day truly fulfilling. There are many people who stay long-term on solo trips, so I think it's also attractive that we can make friends with people from all over the world.I would definitely return, and would 200% recommend it to friends."

"Most people seem to stay for one night on way to or from the airport, and thats enough. The room was well appointed but no outside view because the window was blocked by an unnecessay spa room. We could not have stayed in such a room for longer. Pool and restaurant good. The nearby beach road was just awful and blocked off the beach, so we never got to it. Very pleased to leave and things improved thereafter."

It was extremely poor value for money and didn't live up to the booking for a deluxe triple bed. I was speechless that there was also a sofa bed inside the triple bed."

"We just stayed here one night upon our arrival into Sri Lanka and wish we had stayed another night. The hotel is lovely and quiet and only has about four villas by the river just outside of Negombo. We stayed in the elephant villa which was great and the bathroom was amazing with fish and a ceiling shower. The staff even brought us dinner on our own patio which was nice and the soup I remember was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and I would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet relaxing stay."

"Spicepeek Boutique Hotel is an airport transfer hotel in Negombo, servicing BIA, Sri Lanka. There are many airport transfer hotels in this area. Spicepeek Boutique Hotel is down a small laneway off a main road. This makes it quiet and private and there are small shops on the main road if you need to fill in some time. It was clean and modern, but did lack some character. The room was large, with a lovely sheltered outdoor bathroom. Efficient and quiet air-conditioning was very much appreciated. Sparsely furnished, there was ample room for the final repacking of our suitcases before long international flights. Being very near the airport, there is the sound of planes flying over the hotel, so while great for the 6 hours "refresh" while we waited to go to the airport, I would not want to be staying there for too long. There is a large pool to cool off in. The staff at Spicepeek Boutique Hotel are very helpful and speak good English. They texted us a dinner menu and asked what time we would like dinner. We made our choice and texted them time we would like to eat, and when we got to the restaurant, service was very quick and the food arrived hot and freshly cooked. It is a transit hotel, so people are coming and going all the time, and both times we ate at the restaurant we were the only people there. It is very adequate for what it is. Transfer to the airport is included in the room rate. The drive to the airport is very quick - less than 10 minutes - so really the perfect place to stay for a short transit."

"We arrived at around 2am, and there were a lot of mosquitoes. We had to set the air conditioner to the lowest setting. Although the beach was not very good, it was worth the price as a transition."
