An Excellent Hotel with a Caring Host! We are very happy with our choice! The mattresses are high-quality, we slept wonderfully after a long trip to Sri-Lanka. The terrace is simply our favorite spot! Special thanks to the host for handling a non-standard situation: we originally booked 2 nights, but after the first night, our plans changed. We wanted to explore further into the island and then return to the same hotel 10 days later. The host was very accommodating: he seamlessly split our booking into two parts (the first night and the later night), which was extremely convenient and cost-effective for us. Moreover, he gave us excellent advice on the travel route around the island. What can be improved: neighbour's dog was a little bit noisy in the evening. We greatly appreciate the flexibility and hospitality! I definitely recommend this place.

Sunrise Palace Negombo is about 30 minutes north of the airport. We had a late flight arrival and were met at the airport and safely whisked away to the hotel. We were quickly checked in - a very comfortable beds, clean room and fan/aircon. The neighbourhood was quiet. Breakfast of fruit, toast, egg, sausages and tea was enjoyed on the balcony. We were very well looked after during our short stay.

Phenomenal place to start our Sri Lanka trip! Me and my friend stayed here and were so well taken care of. Airport pickup was smooth and welcoming. Mr. Gomez is very helpful. Rooms are large, comfortable and homely. The gardens are beautiful. We will be back!

This is a very kind, clean, and comfortable place to stay. The owners have a very reassuring atmosphere, so I would recommend it to solo female travelers. The room was spotlessly clean, and the staff were very helpful and willing to answer any questions I might have. The breakfast was simple yet delicious, and I really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the staff. Most importantly, the two dogs and 17 cats the owners rescued from abuse were incredibly adorable. They seemed very loved, and they approached us without any fear of humans, so it was clear that they were well cared for. They apparently provide a cat house for guests with allergies, so it's a good idea to let them know in advance. The only disappointment was that the shower was lukewarm...but overall, I was very satisfied, especially considering the price. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Negombo. It was a really great place to stay.

The hosts were truly amazing. At first, I completely misunderstood them, but they handled it so professionally. We were travelling with our seven‑year‑old, and when we requested transport, they arranged everything seamlessly. We did find some cheaper options, but the quality of the car and the level of service made it well worth it. When we return to Sri Lanka, even just transiting, we’ll definitely stay again.

The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming; however, they appeared to be insufficiently trained, which at times affected efficiency and service quality. Room cleanliness was acceptable but could be improved. In addition, the sliding door lock to the balcony was broken, which may pose a potential safety concern and should be addressed promptly. Overall, this hotel may be a reasonable option for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize location over higher service standards and room condition.

We had a room with two double beds and an AC, this was perfect for our family of 4. We landed in Sri Lanka at 9 pm and just needed to place to sleep before we officially began our holiday. The lady working at the frontdesk was very kind. We also got bottled water in the room, which was amazing since we did not stop at a shop before heading there. We arrived at night and left again in the morning, so we are not sure if there are shops or restaurants around this area.

The hotel is in a great beachfront location with a decent size pool and plenty of restaurants to explore by foot. I ate dinner in-house once which was good and arrived quickly. The room I had booked was fan-only and fine for me. Breakfast was great and staff went out of their way to fulfill my expectations. I received a kettle as I stayed 8 nights and wanted to drink tea on my balcony. The most notable aspect really is the friendliness of the entire team. Everyone is really genuinely pleasant and made me feel at home.

I’d recommend this hostel to budget travelers and backpackers looking for a friendly and affordable stay.

I accidentally booked for the wrong day, but they still welcomed me with full attention and availability. The bed is wonderful and the bathroom is very good. Nice view of the garden. Good location, close to restaurants and a market. I recommend it and would come back again.
