We chose the hotel because of the tobogans and slides for our children. We also expected a high level of standards from the **** hotel with an extra fee for the sea view. We got the average *** hotel with very limited opening hours of the aquapark, a lot of fast food (quantity without quality), a large amount of cigarette smell everywhere, a lack of cleanness and a lot of night noise. Black hair and hairs in our bathroom to welcoming us, not cleaned public bathroom regularly, old furnished hotel room without any change during the time (it seems last changed thing was 20 years ago). My son had an extra bed made from an old armchair smelling urinate and my daughter had an extra bed as two mattrasses, that was better. There are restricts as no putting towels on the camp beds or no smoking at the swimming pools, but no one respects them and there is no body who controls and requires them. If you do not put your towel or anything on the camp beds there is no chance to use it all day. There is also a lot of noise during the night especially if you have the hotel room above the lobby terrace without any night rest. Different opening hours of slides and tobogans. Why? One of the most favourite tobogan is open only 2 hours a day. Why? I really do not understand that point. Different opening hours of outlets. Why? It is very confusing. I am very sorry for taking the hotel for our summer family holiday. I will definately take a different destination in the future.

The Sol Nessebar Mare Hotel, worst hotel we've stayed in for some years. Reception staff rude and unhelpful. Dining room staff miserable. One good comment, bar staff in the reception were hard working and polite. We thanked them on leaving and left a tip. Dining room food ,I described as slop. Terrible food. Other families said the same. The Palace food according to a family we met, said they didn't like the food. We tried the food at The Bay Hotel,it was ok 1 night but not the next. Then discovered we were not allowed (nobody told us) to eat in their dining room yet we could use all snack bars on the complex!. Food was the exact same everyday. No way is this is a 4 star hotel., It is a 3 star at the most. Dining room is outdated, like a 1980s dining room. Rooms were basic, bit outdated. No drawers in our room. Pools not that clean. Waterslides ok. Tried the a la carte Chinese meal, absolutely rubbish. We made a pan of hot broth, there wasn't a starter,no pudding, just a pan of broth to share. The Italian night was no better either according to other families. On leaving the hotel,we asked to use a courtesy room etc just for a shower and to change. We were told that we could use the changing rooms, yuk, disgusting, dirty pokey, tiny Room, only 2 dirty showers, with old dirty shower curtains across,a few old lockers to use, no locks on them and only 1 small wooden bench to put your clothes/belongings. No towels, nothing. The floor was slimy and slippery. Some people had no hot water. Disgusting to offer this to paying guests,I have never in all my years of going on holiday, experienced this on departure day. Reception were not helpful when people asked to keep their room on, most were told no. Just rude! We were glad to leave. A waste of money. Dining room photo in the brochure looks different to the actual dining room now. So many lovely hotels in Bulgaria to stay. I spoke to families that we met who hadn't been to Bulgaria before and stated that on our 2 previous holidays to beautiful Bulgaria, how we stayed in a 4 star that was a great hotel and last year,a 3 star plus, also a great hotel with good food.

Firstly, we booked the resort but you're out into Mare, Bay or Palace. We were in Mare, it's busy - very busy, and there aren't enough sunloungers or space for everyone. Well there are sunloungers but you have to be up at 7am to get one! Rooms are outdated and small for a family of 4, dlfeel a bit grubby. We booked a room with a "park view". I questioned it at reception as we look onto the front car park - this, in their opinion, is the park view! It is not clear in Jet2'a overview so be careful! Beach is tiny but so much quieter than the pool area and you can get a bed. Loungers are uncomfortable though, no cushioning. There's also a Palace/Mare/Bay split, Palace have the best sunloungers and get water/nuts brought to the beds..nothing for Mare/Bay guests. There is additional stuff here that is NOT all inclusive, I'm already paying a lot why pay to go on the inflatables, go karting, inflatable balls on the pool etc. Even popcorn you pay for! All the games in the games room you have to pay for, even 30 mins on the PS4? Very frustrating with kids to constantly be asked for stuff and you have to pay. Very few lifeguards or staff to interact with anywhere, those who you do see are disinterested. Slides are good but random opening times. Weather has been lush so kids spent plenty of time in the pool and outside, perfect for them. Food, there are lots of options but it's not high quality. Salads and bread rolls are nice. We're adventurous foodies and everything hot is oily so I'm put off it all. Pudding selection is not good and not what I'd expect. The ice cream cart is cute but the queues for the pizza and pretzels are sometimes insane! Panini's on the beach are good. The paella seems to be sitting out for quite a while. Wine, oh my goodness it's disgusting! Even with soda I couldn't drink it, absolutely gutted 🤣 Very confused about where you can/can't go as a Mare guest, we went into the Bay restaurant one night but we're almost chased out..it seems like one hotel but it's clearly not. There are lots of signs up "Palace guests only" but not much that say "Mare guests only"! Also, LOTS of people smoking and oblivious to kids, whether you're eating or whether you're ok with it. I know it's outside but you're often surrounded by chain smokers and as a non smoker I've found it sometimes intolerable. I wouldn't go again, don't expect four star it's definitely not!

The hotel Sol Nessebar Mare is one of three hotels that belong to the Sol Nessebar Ressort complex. It offers the possibility to use the leisure and animation facilities of all three hotels. It is very spacious, well structured and has direct access to the beach. The rooms are really good, about 20 sqm with shower, bathtub and air conditioning. You have a great variety of food during the day, from pizza to paella(which was one of my favourites). There is a lot of entertainment, too, a lot of different games and activities and din the evenings there are shows for both children and adults. The service is excellent, the whole staff is very friendly, above all at the reception. But there is one woman who really makes a difference there. She combines everything a guest can wish for: she is very competent, friendly and always willing to help. Any hotel would be happy to have someone like her. Rayna, thank you so much for everything, you have made our stay such a pleasant one🤗

The kids mini disco was ok I got back from here 4 days ago I loved it but the food in the hotel wasn’t so great but you book to have a Chinese or an Italian the water park slides are great there’s at least 8 slides that you can choose from they also have. Somewhere about 10 minutes away called sunny beach I recommend that and somewhere 5 minutes away called old tow that’s good aswell

The hotel is perfect, especially for family vacations! The food was varied and very tasty. Everything you need is provided without having to leave the complex. The staff takes care of everything perfectly, we will definitely visit the hotel again.

Basic all-inclusive hotel for families. Lots of choices, what to eat and the hotel area is nice. Beach is few steps away and lots of pools. The opening times of the waterpark are a bit limited, but if you plan to spend most of your days at the hotel - doable.

No way is this hotel 4 star, food in the restaurant terrible. During the day plenty of food outlets serving good food, the paella is lovely. The house keeping leaves a lot to be desired, they can’t even make a bed properly, had to make up bed every night myself 😡 would not recommend, will never return

All inclusive if you consider a derelict hotel with no drinks, no staff and a walk to the adjoining hotel acceptable. Be aware that if you’ve paid to stay in the Mare, you can NOT use the pool next door (the one with the pool bar, entertainment, snacks etc), you must stay at the pool with none of the above. Poorly run and falsely advertised. No TUI reps visit, so you’re at the mercy of emailed or app messages. I would not have booked this expensive all inclusive hotel if I’d have known how derelict the actual hotel was
