First thoughts on room very very good and was impressed, but later on when we had shower we noticed staining on tiles from the grout also ground in dirt on shower door (see photos),also walls needed a spruce up as quite grubby. The next morning we complained about the room and was taken to one that had been updated which in our mind was a downgrade as we had a beach view in first room and this was a car park view. The manager was a good listener and agreed the room wasn’t good and said our room was on the list to be updated (should have been told this on arrival). After the initial conversation nothing else was done and we feel we have been let down. This room is £450 a night and we feel robbed. No refund or hotel credit was even spoke off ,even a bottle of wine in the room would have been nice.

I just wanted to say what a wonderful time I had even though it was only a 24 hour break. It really is a magical place and I feel fully restored after a blissful spa and stay. I could not fault a thing, from the thoughtful staff, the food and ambience of the dining room. I felt so looked after without any fuss, just kindness and attention. I felt rather emotional when I walked into my room, to see the sea view in all its glory. This is just the break I needed. I wish I could say in words more eloquently what a lovely time I had.

We came for afternoon tea for our anniversary in the Ren Mor restaurant and had a glorious experience. Prior to visiting their customer service via email was very helpful. Lazlow was our waiter and he was brilliant, very attentive and welcoming but not too much. I needed a dairy free version of the afternoon tea due to an allergy and this was accounted for and they bought me and my fiancé a seperate one which was brilliant. There was sooo much food, we each had: 4 sandwich’s, 2 scones and 4 cakes plus a whole Christmas cake. We couldn’t eat it all so got to take it away in a takeaway box. The views from the restaurant over fistral beach are spectacular and we were fortunate with the weather. Would definitely recommend and we’ll remember this for years to come. Thanks again for making our anniversary very special.

Once again the magic of the Headland Hotel pulled us back again with thoughts of The wonderful location, great rooms, and of course the exquisite diningexperience in Ren Mor restaurant. The Terrace overlooking Fistral is just a wonderful use of time watching the many surfers striving for "The One" whilst having an easy going lunch. The location, the building itself & the excellent well trained staff ensure a really great time. It can be a quiet soothing break or celebration or indeed a busy activity led experience. Its hard not to enthuse about this Unique Hotel & maybe we are biased but after over 4 decades of visiting & watching this Hotel grow into the "Destination Hotel" it has become and to witness that they are experts at making guests welcome . Once again I cannot praise the staff enough for making it a very easy place to be a guest.

A very special location and an historic hotel. We very much enjoyed the stay. Pluses: Great breakfasts, staff very attentive (except the terrace), good cocktails, nice aqua club spa, spacious room with excellent tea and coffee. Renmor restaurant was lovely with great views. The room had fantastic views too and a great balcony. Minuses: The Terrace (informal dining) was disappointing to eat at and expensive. Renmor food and wine was good but not great (for the money) we had booked in for 2 nights at the restaurant and decided just to have one after our experience. However, would not stop us from going back!

Why go abroad when you have beautiful Newquay and what better place to stay than the Headland Hotel. The cottages are modern, comfortable and have everything you need for a wonderful stay and with the stunning spa just metres away, with incredible views, why go anywhere else. Enjoyed a fabulous hot stone massage after a few hours surfing, finishing off with fizz friends.

Fabulous location. Very traditional main hotel with amazing ultra modern pool/spa facilities. Service from front of house staff on arrival very efficient. Drinks in main lounge overlooking bay took some time to attract staff attention. First night dinner in Deck restaurant. Expected larger portions from the pizza/flatbread menu. Had a lot larger & better for less £££ in more upmarket London restaurants. 2 nd night ate in Renmore. Superb staff who were clearly embarrassed at having to keep apologising for delay in services (40 min between starter and main ). Following morning similar 30 min to serve 1 basic English breakfast (streaky bacon why? English always back) plus 1 scrambled egg and smoked salmon. Never seen a smaller portion! 1 slice of toast half had egg other half 1 small piece of salmon. IN SHORT WOULD STAY AGAIN ON ROOM ONLY BASIS.

An absolutely Magic weekend at Headland Hotel and Spa. Spent a long weekend in one of the beautiful cottages and literally could not ask for a more idyllic weekend away whether it was relaxing in the cottage garden overlooking the stunning views out to sea, or soaking in the spa jacuzzi with its unique views over the coast, enjoying delicious food at their restaurant with yet more views in all directions, strolling down to the fantastic Fistral beach for a surf lesson or sinking into my luxury bed at end end of a great day. I cannot wait to come back with my family. Thank you.

Had the most amazing weekend away with friends and can't wait to go back with my family. The location is idyllic, with wrap-around sea views and huge sandy beach on the doorstep. Didn't get in a car all weekend. Cornwall really turned on the charm! The cottages are beautiful and really well equipped and the spa facilitied and pools are stunning! Loved it!
