I think it will be good from the accommodation cost.
The large communal bath has a jacuzzi, a sitting bath, a sleeping bath, and an open-air bath, and I think it was good.
I think it was good for only those who put it on their waist because the jacuzzi came out vigorously from the middle of the stairs.
I wanted to put it on my back and shoulders, but it was loose and I could hardly expect the effect.
The sleeping bath was not wide and calm per person. Because it is not only fat people like sumo wrestlers.
The hot water was chorochoro and hot water, and I couldn't understand what the hot water was for.
The open-air bath was lukewarm, so I saw the garden, but it was a pity that the trees were overgrown and it was like a jungle and it didn't feel like looking at nature.
Dinner was not in the set, but it was good because I was able to make a reservation by phone.
I thought it was a little expensive for a Viking, but it may be unavoidable in the recent price increase rush.

A group of six people traveled independently. The hotel is generally good. The room is relatively large. It is relatively quiet after dark. There is a supermarket nearby for shopping, but you must pay attention to the business hours.
Point deduction items: There are flies in the room, there are dead insects in the garden, it takes 10 to 20 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. It is recommended to drive by car

Used by a family of three and two dogs.
Check-in was smooth.
The rooms were well-cleaned and had a good feeling of cleanliness.
The artificial hot spring was excellent.
The amenities were on par with those in a first-class hotel.
The location was on the first floor, so maybe that's not a good idea.
We had a BBQ, and everything was provided except for the food, so we were very satisfied.
If I had to say one thing, it would be that the noise from the second floor was loud.

The hotel was great and had good food (buffet style) and service. The views of the bridge and kinugawa river across the hotel was nice, and we enjoyed fireworks on Saturday night. It might be better to drive, since the hotel was located about a 10-15 minute walk away from Kinugawaonsen station in a quiet town, and is about 1 hour away by public transport from Tobu-nikko station where many attractions can be accessed.

Wow! This place was fantastic! The staff are all courteous and professional. The hotel rooms are really clean, and the atmosphere is so relaxing and tranquil. I really enjoyed the nature vibes, and the river view by the window is perfect! The sound of the water flow and birds chirping made it to be a great night's sleep. The morning scenery is even better. I have no complaints. It was a great place to stop and rest and admire your surroundings. Take advantage of the swimming pool and the hot springs. (FYI: No tattoos allowed in case you have any, so you won't be alarmed when you see the sign.) Otherwise, everything was great about my stay! ☺️

Amazing place. Located close to Tobu World Square and Edo Wonderland. Private onsen at rooftop is awesome, can use together with your family and friends..: Public onsen located in second floor is great too.. bring some coins for foot and body massage chair and drinks after bath.
The breakfast and dinner buffet are so great… love the choices they had ..: People are so friendly … We as a family are so great full for the amazing experiences… very much recommended…

I went with my husband and we loved the pool outside, with a great view, warm water. The pool inside is also great , with umbrella decorations but we prefered the ouside pool.
The dinner was great with a wide variety of foods, it slso includes one hour of free alcohol drink.
The futons were very good and our room had an exceptional view. The breakfast was also very good. I would like to stay more than one night to enjoy the inside pool. We want to return again.

The hotel has a history of 56 years. It is about 8 minutes walk from Kinuchuan Hot Spring Station. When you enter the hotel lobby, it is full of Japanese style. The front desk service is very friendly. Not only informs the dinner time, but also informs the hot spring ♨️ method of use. At special time points, the hot spring ♨️ bathroom is exchanged. Can't miss the time! Entering the room is a Japanese-style tatami room, with welcome desserts 🍮 and welcome thousands of paper cranes. Dinner is a local kaiseki cuisine, which looks like artwork! Hot spring ♨️ has indoor and outdoor open air, and there is a sauna! The breakfast is also very exquisite and delicious, it is a satisfying hot spring trip!

I should say that this hotel is the best one in the 16-day trip to Japan. Before we even arrived at the hotel, the waiter started to greet us warmly. The room we booked is very large, enough for 3 people. The Kinu River is outside the window, and you can see the stream when you open the window. The dinner and breakfast are very rich. During dinner, the female captain came over to thank us and even learned Chinese to thank us. All the waiters are very warm and polite. I like this hotel very much.

YYingcaiyiranIt is a small and exquisite B&B transformed from a villa where the former embassy staff lived. The location is so superior, right by the Chuzenji Lake, and all the rooms are facing the lake view. I was surprised to find that the snow was deep when I woke up the next day. I pushed open the sliding door and saw the beautiful scenery outside the window. It was simply beautiful. Because I had dinner with my friend's family at the Ritz-Carlton in Nikko, I only experienced the B&B breakfast. I experienced both Japanese and Western breakfasts. I made an appointment one day in advance and all were made on site. I ate cold breakfasts at Japanese inns for several days, and the Western breakfast at this one really won my heart, and the coffee was also super delicious. In short, I strongly recommend this B&B, which is 700 per person per night, including breakfast and dinner, and faces the first-line lake view. Except for the small room, everything else is perfect.
黎黎The family is in their 30s. The room is large and the dinner is very luxurious. It is worthy of the specifications of the New Year’s Eve dinner. The service is very meticulous and thoughtful. The hot spring does not feel any minerals, but the venue is large and has an open air. When we left, we had a lot of luggage and took the initiative to drive us to the station, generally affordable
JJamesGreat hotel with an amazing view of Lake Chuzenji. We weren’t aware of the self check in policy and we arrived after 6pm so there were no staff around to help us. The self check in machines are a little hard to figure out but one of the restaurant staff helped us and it all worked out in the end.
The onsen is great and the free bicycles were wonderful to ride around the lake. The room was comfy and spacious.
One issue with the onsen is that you can hear everyone in the female onsen from the male onsen. Usually this is fine because most people are quiet, but one of the nights there were several women and children screaming and talking loudly and shouting to their relatives in the male section.
GGuest UserThe hotel gets off at Kinugawa Onsen Station. There is no hotel car to pick up the station. There are shuttle buses for hot spring hotels. Get on the bus at bus stop No. 5 and tell the driver the name of the hotel. Don't walk there. It's inconvenient to push the luggage. It's also good to walk for 15 minutes without luggage.
The appearance of the hotel is a bit old. Don't miss this hotel because of the appearance!
The hotel has a sense of history and there is an introduction on the wall. Although it is very old, it is very clean. The room is quite large and clean. The room facing Kinugawa has a good view, but the sound of running water is very loud, which has no effect on our good sleep.
The hotel hot spring is quite large. The men and women hot springs will change places in the morning, and you can experience different pools. The hot spring is clean and there are not many people. You can also scan the code to check whether the hot spring is crowded or not, and go when there are few people.
The hotel has free afternoon tea at 3 pm. The snacks are delicious and the ice cream is also very good.
The hotel's breakfast and dinner are particularly rich, and every kind of food is delicious. We stayed for three nights and had a great time every day!
All the waiters in the hotel are very warm and friendly!
The bus from the hotel to the station needs to be booked in advance!
HHoSVery old school ryokan run by very friendly who has been working there for many years. Your name will be displayed on the board next to the entrance of the ryokan to show that they were currently welcoming these guests staying at the ryokan! We stayed there for 2 nights with free parking and we didn’t have to drive anywhere until we checked out as the ryokan is within walking distance to the 3 major world heritage listed shrines including The Toshogu Palace.
Avoid room 312 or 313 (which we stayed) which are the smallest rooms. Those rooms in the middle parts are bigger and more comfortable. Do ask for any room facing the back of the ryokan and avoid those facing the front where you only see car parks with coaches coming in the morning bringing tourists to the shrines.
The onsite Onsen for ryokan guests, breakfasts and dinners are the highlights. You’d love the traditional Japanese meals served there and you won’t be hungry.
Would I come back to this ryokan again? Yes definitely due to its location and friendly staff.
CCasual travellerLocation is super, very near to Nikko Station, room is adequate if traveling with very light bag pack. Hotel has a small onsen facility (bathhouse), do check with the counter staff on the operating hours. There are nearby super-mart (family mart is just across the road and another one within walking distance) which makes it great to get snacks for the night. Shops/cafe closes relatively early.
GGuest UserAs a Ctrip Gold Diamond member, I never write reviews for hotels I've been to, but this time, I have to especially thank the hotel's Chinese receptionist, Ms. Yu (I don't know if it's this Yu or that Yu, please forgive me if I write it wrong). Ms. Yu is very serious and responsible in her work, and she is also very enthusiastic and willing to help others. She patiently explained to me the hotel's environmental structure and various precautions, and personally took me to understand the location and usage of the hotel facilities. After learning that I wanted to have a massage to relieve fatigue, she took the initiative to take me to communicate with the masseur to determine the time and specific items, etc. She was very patient. I hope to see you again next time I come to your hotel, thank you 🙏
GGuest UserThe second time I stayed here, the first time I stayed in a Western-style room. The room was large and very new. The second time I brought my parents to stay, I chose a traditional Japanese-style room. When I opened the window, I could see the snow-capped mountains and mountains. The attitude of the service staff is very good and the experience is very good. Staff will take the initiative to help make the bed at night. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very good, each restaurant has a fixed location, and dinner and breakfast are prepared in advance. However, the included meals are vegetarian by default. If you want to change meat, remember to tell customer service in advance.
TTsusiefirst of I would like to thanks always trip.com for very nice & convinient bookings everytime,we stay new sakura hotel, because the interior of the hotel is mostly sakura theme, the carpet, the gorgeous chandelier, the wall design, etc.or cherry blossom in Japan,& so very affordable prize,we spend only 18,000 yen for 2 adults, with 2 breakfast & 2 dinner.Very near from kinugawa onsen station, only 3 hrs.from Tokyo. We amazed the room,so very big for the two of us,for very cheap prize, can accomodate even 10 person, the buffet breakfast & dinner also is so good but the most I want to share is the drink all you can alcohol beverages for 1 hour, like beer, japanese wine, sours, all kinds of softhdrinks,I enjoyed for self service alcohol drink all you can!the hotspring also is very good but the cons is take care in the outdoor spring because of the concrete stairs, especially for the elderly when slippery, there's
& a little bit far from our room, the young staff also at the counter is nice & most of them are young japanese lady,so very entertaining,so many free amusement like billiard, majong, etc.with a nice sorrounding sightseeng site.& last after check out they give 2000 yen discount coupon for the next visit,Thanks God & trip.com for a nice autumn tour moment in kinugawa onsen Tochigi Perfecture Japan
KK Hoffman (Canada)Great location, just across from the Nikko Tobu Station. However, need to hire more people to maintain the hotel. There is no receptionist for checkins between 3-10. Found cobwebs by the sinks and even on the partitions between the lower and upper bed. There is black mold in the bathroom and water pools at the bottom of the shower unit. With 2 shower rooms built for 24 guests, there is really only one shower room for 24 guests because one of the shower rooms cannot be used as you can not close the door to lock it! Wifi is not reliable.
