Nozawa Grand Hotel Reviews

Wonderful hotel to experience amazing Japanese hospitality. Our family of 4 (2 adults 2 teenagers) stayed in a Japanese style Family room. Each night futon beds were made and in the mornings packed away by staff. The room size was comfortable and has a great view of the ski slopes. I have included a picture of the view from our room with the review. Our stay included delicious buffet breakfast and Japanese dinner. Staff were very helpful and accommodating, enhancing our stay experience. In terms of location, it is about a 15-20 mins walk to the ski fields, through the old town. Nice walk and very manageable. We’ll definitely love to stay again the next time we get to visit beautiful Nozawa Onsen.

Great little hotel. A tad far from where you need to catch the bus to the ski slopes. Other than that, would recommend this hotel. Great service, food really good. Rooms nice and clean, great for families.

A little worn out but overall great. Good location, attentive service, clean and great size room. Stayed in western room but it still had great Japanese design

Although the hotel is located at the outskirts of the town, the town is not big, and it takes only 5 minutes to walk to the restaurants and supermarkets in the center of the town. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the cable car. If you leave the rented ski equipment in the store, you can walk back and forth. Not a problem, I highly recommend the breakfast and dinner included in the hotel, it is well worth the money and the service is also very good.

The location is on a slope, and it would be very tiring to carry luggage with you in the heavy snow. Indoor hot spring is great Unfortunately, the outdoor hot spring water was not hot enough to enjoy. The Kirigiri bath has stopped again, what a pity

The service is very good. I even met a Chinese guy working in the hotel. I feel very friendly. Every day, a snail girl will come to help you make the bed in your room. Every day's dinner is different👍

It was great to be able to use two hot springs with different sources within the hotel.

The village is not big. You can get off the bus and walk a few hundred meters uphill. The hotel is at the top of the mountain. The hotel has arranged the quietest room with beautiful scenery. The hot spring is just one floor below the room, which is very convenient. There is a milk vending machine at the entrance of the hot spring. The water inside is relatively hot and people flow quickly. There are almost no people in the afternoon. A different themed set meal is arranged every night, with a detailed menu and the name of the chef. This is my first time to experience this kind of Japanese food. I wonder if it is called one stay and two meals? The waiter tried his best to introduce the dishes and how to eat them in Japanese and English. The whole process was enjoyable, surprising and pleasant. Although the hotel staff are older, their service quality is high and they feel as relaxed and comfortable as going home. The uncle at the front desk has very beautiful calligraphy. The Chinese characters he wrote when he helped us deliver home delivery were very nice. It was also cute to write us as Beijing. In fact, we are from Guangdong😅. Beijing should represent the Chinese people. There is also a tall and handsome man in the hotel. Chinese waiter. The straight-line distance from the hotel to the ski resort is very short, but because there is no previous cable car, you can only take the village road, which takes about ten minutes to go down and up the mountain. You must wear anti-ski boots, otherwise it will be miserable. After skiing every day, it is the best choice to go back to the hotel to soak in the hot springs, drink milk, have dinner and order some wine!

Everything is fine, but the breakfast is just average

Overall, I am satisfied with this hotel. However, I was concerned that the bathroom facilities in the rooms were small. I wish they would promote the outdoor pool in the summer more. There are many family guests, so I think the children would enjoy it. It is a very nice pool, so please promote it more.

Very good, the hotel staff are very responsible and the environment is very good. The room was very clean and the hotel hot spring was very clean. If you travel to Nozawa Hot Spring, you must choose Nozawa Hot Spring Hotel👍
