Good location but accommodation very disappointing, the so called ”delux double” was tiny with not even enough space to get past the end and side of the bed. Bathroom also tiny! A real shame, pics are very misleading.

Unique food, impeccable service! I attended a large dinner in the ballroom. The chandeliers and lighting in the room created a beautiful atmosphere. The servers were kind and attentive. Main course was a unique aubergine dish - something out of the ordinary - and it was wonderfully prepared. I’ve eaten at The Alice for dinner as well as tea, and now I know that banquets are as delicious as the restaurant.

Very amazing hotel! In the cold winter, after arriving at the hotel, I saw my name on the parking lot and placed it on a reserved parking space. Very caring. Walk into a low wooden door, the wooden door is full of beautiful branches and dried fruits. Very dreamy. The warm fire that opened the door flashed in the huge fireplace, and there was a feeling in the movie. A hotel that has been remodeled for nearly 300 years. It is normal to walk up and down the stairs. I don't think it is a problem. The rooms are not large, but they are completely prepared according to the standards of five-star luxury hotels, disposable slippers (most hotels in the UK are not available), warm towel racks (all hotels stayed in 7 hotels, only this towel rack really It is so warm and warm). The location is not the most central, but walking to the central area, it is 5-8 minutes, it is also very convenient. Very close to the Bit River Museum, 5 minutes walk. Small and exquisite museums, parents with children should not miss it. The hotel’s own restaurant is very hot. Both morning and evening are full. I took my child to eat dessert at night and it tasted good. highly recommended!

Fantastic hotel !! Stayed for 2 nights for my husband's 60th birthday. We had a classic double room which was spacious with a large double bed , mini bar , tea/ coffee, hair dryer and plenty of storage for cases and hanging space for clothes. Absolutely spotlessly clean , lovely bathroom with big fluffy towels. Fresh milk and a large bottle of still water were left each day , and a suprise on my husband's birthday when we returned from our day out to a selection of cakes which was lovely. The food was good and the service from all the staff was exceptional. Easy to walk in to town and also great having secure reserved parking at the hotel . We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again , well done to The old bank you're doing a great job,!

Very nice hotel with very friendly staff. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and it was nice to have extra pillows and blankets in the room, if needed. Bathroom was nice and towels were fluffy! The little extras like bottled water, hot chocolate and cookies were a nice touch. The location was great...very close to the train station, which was the deciding factor to book this hotel. We were not disappointed! The little restaurant located off the lobby served a delicious breakfast!

It's clean and an easy walk to everything. It's an old hotel with narrow staircases and small bedrooms. Make sure you are not in the annex if you want a private bathroom. It was immaculately clean and we felt safe. The area is noisy, especially with the construction going on right outside but got quieter during the evening. It's a good budget hotel, not luxury but it met our needs. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance, and the canal leading to the Thames is steps away. A continental breakfast is provided and for a small amount you can order a more substantial breakfast. I'd stay again!

During the summer vacation, the prices are favorable, the rooms are all of the same standard size, and the prices vary depending on the view. Clean and hygienic, not big, but practical. I saw that the price in September is quite expensive, costing 3K. It is very close to the Westgate Shopping Center in Oxford and is very convenient for all kinds of food. It is also very convenient to reach various colleges in Oxford within walking distance. The breakfast at the hotel is very good. In addition to the various delicacies on display, you can also ask the waiter for some freshly made omelet egg rolls, which taste better than Hilton hotels. On a recent visit to Oxford I decided to stay in one of the prison cells at the Malmaison Oxford which was a former prison. It was a great decision as the rooms were indeed cells and still have the steel doors and brick walls to prove it. Everything else is completely modern with a large bathroom and nice working area. The location in what is actually part of Oxford Castle is within easy walking distance of most of Oxford's main attractions including the Ashmolean Museum, Bodleian Library and the principal colleges as well as the Westgate Mall. The hotel has a lot of nice modern art, much of it with a prison motif, albeit tongue-in-cheek. The staff is young and friendly and the clientele is quite mixed. I saw a Ford Focus parked beside a Ferrari. The dining room and bar are quite small at first glance until you realize there are many side rooms into what were once cells. The full English breakfast was great, but for dinner we went to some of the nearby pubs and the small Italian restaurant Prezzo which literally right next door. My only complaint was that the internet in the rooms is spotty, no doubt because of the thick walls and steel doors. But it works fine everywhere else. This is a luxury hotel, but the prices were definitely quite reasonable for the experience offered.

Very very basic. Very little care taken in general. Room was ok but small and stuffy. Decor run down . Corridors cramped and shabby. Desk was unmanned, had to buzz to get staff over road from their “ sister “ hotel. They seemed disinterested. Little local knowledge. Walls paper thin. When i left in the morning , I walked out into a building site - the whole section , including the front door , had been sectioned off workmen - who shouted at me for not wearing a hard-hat 😂 would have been nice to get a heads up from the hotel this was happening. You get what you pay for , and this was cheap , but I won’t be staying again. Recommend avoiding

I enjoyed my stay at Central Backpackers. It's a small, compact hostel so it's pretty easy to start up a conversation with someone if you feel like it. The room (8 bed female dorm) was super spacious, and it was great to have power sockets and a light for each bed. Hostel was clean, showers were nice, but one of the toilets always seemed to have an issue with flushing (toilet within shower room by dorm 7). Kitchen was small but seemed like it had everything you'd need if you wanted to cook. Movie room was small but cosy. Great location, 5 mins from train station and easy walk to main attractions.
