GGuest UserWe stayed at the Floral Hotel beside Dream Valley during Chinese New Year, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve had anywhere in China. While the location is already a major advantage being just steps away from Dream Valley and close to the other Hengdian attractions - what truly sets this hotel apart is the heart and personality behind it. This is not a typical boutique hotel. It’s a place shaped by the owners’ passion, taste, and genuine care for their guests. From the moment you arrive, you can feel that the hotel is a labor of love. The architecture and interior design are beautifully curated, with many pieces collected by the owners over the years. Walking through the courtyard and hallways feels like stepping into a different era, almost like entering a scene from the Song dynasty. Yet the rooms themselves are fully modern, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. It’s a rare blend of historical atmosphere and contemporary convenience, and it creates a sense of immersion that you simply don’t get at most hotels in the area. Even though we didn’t stay in the hotel’s best room, we were extremely comfortable. The beds are very firm - something to keep in mind depending on your preference - but we slept well. The room features a large, modern soaking tub that’s perfect after a long day of walking through the film sets and a separate bathroom and shower. And one of our favorite touches was the smart projector in the room, which turns a simple movie night into a cinematic experience. It’s small details like these that show how much thought has gone into making the stay enjoyable. But the true highlight of our visit was the hospitality. The owners are warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making guests feel welcome. On one rainy day, when there wasn’t much for us to do outside, they invited us into their main hall for tea. They set up a traditional tea table with a heated brazier, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere that felt like visiting old friends rather than staying at a hotel. They kept bringing local snacks: seeds, small rice cakes, and even freshly cooked sweet potato - all offered freely and with genuine kindness. My wife and kids loved every bit of it. What could have been a dull, rainy afternoon became one of our favorite memories of the entire trip. Their kindness extended beyond that moment. At one point, we accidentally made a mess in our room (entirely our fault) and the owners helped us clean up without a hint of frustration or judgment. It’s rare to find that level of patience and understanding, especially during the busy holiday season. Breakfast each morning was another highlight. The hotel has a local cook who clearly takes pride in her craft. The dishes were fresh and simple but full of flavor, prepared with care and attention. You could feel her pride in everything she served. It’s the kind of breakfast that makes you slow down and appreciate the home cooked moment, rather than rushing through a buffet line like at larger hotels. All in all, this hotel was a true win for us. The personal touches, the warmth of the owners, the passion of the cook, and the unique atmosphere created by the carefully collected antiques all come together to create an experience that stands out among the many boutique hotels in the area. In fact, I would say it’s probably better than any other hotel around Hengdian. It’s rare to find a place that feels both deeply rooted in local culture and fully equipped with modern comforts, but this hotel manages to do exactly that. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Hengdian, whether for the parks, the film sets, or simply a relaxing getaway. And if we ever return to the area, we would stay here again without hesitation.

GGuest UserVery friendly and great hospitality by the owners. They are friendly and helpful and gave us a food and attraction strategy guide which was very useful as our purpose in Hengdian was to visit the major filming studios. The estate was located deep in a neighbourhood area and we have a small problem locating the front entrance desk. Currently they are still doing upgrading to the estate with gardens and swimming pool (refer to photo). I'm sure it will look amazing once completed. The estate was built in 2023 from the ground up and was designed by the same designer who did the Qin Palace. No wonder this homestay has this ancient building look. The room was pretty nice but I find the bed to be too stiff. I'm used to a soft and cushy kind of bed back home and couldn't sleep well for the 3 nights we are there. My family members have no such problem though. Homemade breakfast was provided everyday by 1 of the cleaner cum cook lady. She was super friendly and the food are fantastic and healthy. This is definitely worth a look if you are looking for accomodation in Hengdian and want to experience a more localised feel compared to a standard hotel stay.

YYissheThe environment is absolutely fantastic! The Chinese rosewood decor creates a wonderful traditional vibe. The lobby is full of intricate Dongyang wood carving details. Our room was a super spacious one-bedroom, one-living-room suite, very open and airy, with comfortable bedding. The hotel is nestled by the mountains, so it's quiet and peaceful. The butler even left a thoughtful handwritten card and a fruit platter – the service was so warm! They also offer Hanfu experience. It's conveniently located, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Hengdian!

GGuest UserGuomao Building, a well-established four-star hotel in Hengdian, was my choice for a two-night stay during the Chinese New Year, and I had a fantastic experience. First off, the service was incredibly warm and attentive. The security guard at the entrance proactively helped with my luggage, and the front desk staff not only offered a complimentary children's meal but also provided a detailed guide to the film and television city. These thoughtful gestures, showing genuine care for guests, were truly heartwarming. Secondly, the room facilities were spotless. Despite the hotel having been in operation for some years, the cleanliness standards have not wavered. All amenities were well-maintained and fully functional, and the room temperature was set perfectly, making for a very comfortable stay. Lastly, the breakfast was a highlight. In addition to the standard offerings, they served local specialties like 'Mai Jiao' (wheat dumplings) and 'Mi Guo' (rice cakes). It wasn't just filling; it offered a taste of local culture too.

I need to express my warmest thanks to Home Inn (Dream Valley Store) for the incredibly thoughtful experience they provided – especially for their heartwarming assistance during a heavy rainstorm in Hengdian. On the evening of June 27th, 2025, a sudden downpour hit as we were leaving the Bund scenic area, leaving my elderly parents and children stranded. After nearly 40 minutes of unsuccessfully trying to hail a taxi or rideshare, and in my growing desperation, I contacted the Home Inn Business Hotel (Dream Valley Store) where we were staying. Upon hearing our predicament, the front desk attendant, Xiao Zhu, immediately and unhesitatingly promised to help. Just one minute later, she called back with amazing news: 'The hotel manager is on his way, driving his personal car to pick you up!' Eighteen minutes later, the manager arrived in the pouring rain. He immediately put us at ease with his warm and reassuring demeanor. Upon our arrival back at the hotel, the front desk had warm water ready and waiting for us. From their decisive promise, to the manager's rescue in the pouring rain, and even the thoughtful gesture of warm water, Home Inn Hengdian truly went above and beyond service, demonstrating the very best of human kindness. I was just about to look for a charging cable, and they already handed one over. When I checked out, they even gave me two bottles of water for the road – so thoughtful. ✅Breakfast: Breakfast is served until 10 AM, which is a dream for late risers! I had two bowls of wontons. My only 'suggestion': Can the egg chef please stop asking me 'sunny side up or over easy' every time? Just give me a soft-boiled egg, please! 😄 ✅Hanfu Experience: Free! Free! Free! The styles are quite new and don't have that cheap 'ten-yuan photo studio' feel. I spent half an hour taking photos in the hotel garden, saving myself 60 yuan on hanfu rental at the scenic spot. Small suggestion: It would be even more perfect if they could provide a few simple hair clips or fan props. With just the clothes, my hands didn't know where to go... ✅Location: It's about a 5-minute walk to the scenic area's main entrance – literally 'out the hotel door, and around the corner'. If you get tired, you can come back to relax and then head out again. It's a blessing for those traveling with seniors or children. Overall, it's a super high-value, one-stop accommodation for lazy travelers. I'll definitely stay here again next time. Hopefully, they'll have a few more XL-sized Hanfu outfits then! 😂

RRuo  yeI highly recommend the suites here! First off, the sense of space is incredible – the living room, dining area, and lounge area are all well laid out and don't feel cramped at all. The furniture is very well-maintained, the wooden tables and chairs have a great texture, and the carpet and chandelier really add to the ambiance. The room was spotless, not a speck of dust even in the corners, and the front desk service was very attentive. It was such a comfortable stay, you definitely can't go wrong choosing this place for your trip!

SSAMPATH1996**Great Value for Money with Friendly Service** I recently stayed at this hotel with my two friends and had a pleasant experience overall. The owner, a lovely lady, was incredibly friendly and made sure I felt welcome throughout my stay. The location is super convenient, with plenty of restaurants, fruit markets, and mini supermarkets nearby, making it easy to explore and grab anything you need. The hotel is about 16 km away from the main attractions, roughly an hour's drive, so it’s a bit out of the way, but that also means it's quieter. The room itself was not the cleanest, but for the price, it was worth it. The essentials were covered with hot water, air conditioning, and all the basic amenities you’d expect, including free toiletries. One of the best parts is that the hotel accepts foreigners without any issues, which made my stay stress-free. If you're looking for budget-friendly accommodation with all the basic comforts and a very kind host, this place is a solid choice.
