We spent 3 nights at Luo Han Lin Hotel, perched high in the mountains of the Luo Han Lin range, and honestly? It was exactly the kind of escape I didn't know I needed. 📍 Location & Vibe: Nature's Own Air Conditioning The hotel sits at about 1900 meters above sea level, deep within a forest that covers 98% of the surrounding area. Summer temperatures hover between 18°C–25°C (64°F–77°F)—no AC needed, even in August. The air is so clean it almost tastes sweet. 🛏 The Room: Waking Up Inside a Painting: I booked a family room, and the massive wraparound balcony was the real showstopper. Every morning, I'd step out to see clouds rolling through the valley below, with the sunrise painting the ridges in gold and pink. Evenings were just as magical—sunsets that turned the sky into a slow-burning fire. The room itself was modern and well-thought-out: smart controls, excellent water pressure, a spacious walk-in shower, and that crisp mountain chill seeping in at night. It feels less like a chain hotel and more like a quiet gallery in the clouds. --- 💁 Service & Amenities: Warmth in Every Detail From check-in to check-out, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome. Housekeeping was thorough and unobtrusive. There's also a small gym, a quiet reading lounge, and a kids' play area—so it works for couples, solo travelers, and families alike. Parking is free and spacious, which is great if you're driving up. --- 🍽 Food: Start Your Morning with a Spicy Kick Breakfast was surprisingly good—lots of fresh options, but the standout was the local Xuyong-style noodles: chewy, spicy, numbing, and absolutely addictive. For lunch and dinner, the hotel kitchen serves solid Sichuan cuisine with locally sourced ingredients. --- 📸 Nearby Gems Worth the Walk · Luzhou Peak Viewing Platform (~1 km walk) – sunrise and sea of clouds, hands down --- ⚠️ A Tiny Heads-Up If you're staying on the ground floor, keep the screen door closed—mountain ecology is very active, and a few friendly bugs might wander in at night. If that bothers you, ask for an upper floor when booking. --- Final Verdict: These 3 nights felt like a full system reboot. If you're looking for a summer getaway that's actually cool, quiet, and surrounded by nothing but green peaks and drifting clouds—Luo Han Lin Hotel is worth every mile of the drive up. I left with a full camera roll, clear lungs, and a much calmer mind. 👉 Would I go back? Yes, Without hesitation.

The staff is very nice, the room is big enough, the decoration style is also very good, the elevator is bright and cool, the breakfast on the top floor is delicious, free afternoon tea is provided, and the environment is good. It is not far from anywhere and it is not noisy. There is a city view outside the room. There is also a weekly gift of candy. If there is a child, a separate children's toothbrush is also provided. If I have the opportunity to come next time, I will choose this place again.

My stay at Lavande Hotel far exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was drawn in by the healing ambiance created by the lavender scent and soft lighting – truly excellent! First off, the free parking was incredibly convenient; I didn't have to worry about parking at all. The internet speed was also very fast, making gaming in the room super smooth. The room itself was clean and tidy, very comfortable to stay in. The bed was extremely comfy, and the sheets and duvet covers were spotless. Plus, there are so many restaurants around the hotel, offering a dizzying array of choices; you can enjoy all sorts of delicious food right outside. In the evening, the young lady at the front desk greeted me with such energy and even offered me tea – the service was genuinely heartwarming. Because I'm a light sleeper, they kindly upgraded me and reserved a room facing the residential area, which was quieter. I particularly liked the room's aromatherapy scent; it smelled wonderful, and I even bought a bottle from the front desk when I checked out [chuckles]. Since I arrived late and overslept, the front desk even extended my check-out by an hour for free, which I was extremely satisfied with. I always choose Lavande Hotels; the beds are indeed very comfortable, and the room decor is a standard Lavande style. The facilities are quite comprehensive, but it would be even more perfect with a toilet seat cover. There's also plenty of great food nearby. Overall, it's genuinely excellent, and I'll definitely be back after my trip in a few days!

The hotel boasts a grand design and excellent views, making for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The bedding was also incredibly comfortable, just like sleeping at home. There are so many dining options downstairs, which is fantastic for someone like me who often struggles to decide what to eat. It's incredibly cost-effective, and I'll never have to worry about choosing a hotel again! Thumbs up!

Had an amazing experience with this hotel room. It was very high quality, very clean, and very big. I was even able to enjoy a spa in the bathroom. The living room and dining room were very large. The price of the presidential suite was also not bad at all. The staff were very friendly and helped me out whenever I asked. The free breakfast was quite a nice touch. The location was close to all the major sections of the city I wanted to visit Overall, wonderful experience

The hotel is in a great location, just across from BBK, and easily accessible by taxi to Shuijinggou and MixC. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast area, a small shop, was welcoming and friendly, offering everything from white cakes to sauerkraut noodles. I especially want to commend the housekeeping lady, who was very helpful. When I asked about the laundry room, she offered to help me take it there. When I returned that evening, she had dried and folded our clothes neatly in the room. Such a thoughtful gesture.

Jiucheng Hotel is first-class in the local area. It is built in a garden, with enough parking spaces and good staff. The breakfast is almost rich, the room and the whole hotel are very clean, and the decoration is stylish and beautiful. It has its own large restaurant, and the food and beverage are all good, which is convenient for guests, otherwise they may have to walk a long way to eat. There is no good restaurant in a small street outside the main entrance, and there are many cotton shops outside the back door, and no restaurant. The hotel could have done better: the boiler room could be moved to the ”Lulu” area to avoid noise affecting multiple rooms. Due to the building itself, there are several rooms between the state of having windows and no windows. In these cases, the room price should be reduced to a certain extent and the guests should be informed online or in person to avoid all kinds of unpleasantness caused by it.

Pros: Close to the supermarket plaza and many street food outlets. Staff tried their best to serve you. Cons: Despite its name, railway station isn't that close. You need to take a taxi (or walk 30 minutes). Check-in process for foreigners will be very tiring (we had to wait 40 minutes in hotel lobby with extremely tired two kids, being questioned by staff about many things. We were asked 'why did you visit here', I thought this is a very ride question. Hotel should welcome guests instead of interrogating them especially when they're super tired after a long day. I'm not blaming the staff as they seem to be doing what they were told to do (protocol I suppose). But we didn't face such interrogating in any of the other hotels in China so I'm not sure why. Another inconvenience, the laundry facility doesn't have a dryer.. We ended up with a load of wet clothes after using the washing machine.. So be aware.

A fantastic stay! The price was reasonable, but the experience far exceeded expectations. While not luxurious, the room was very clean and comfortable, with practical amenities (e.g., plenty of outlets and good water pressure). The location is excellent, with easy access to restaurants and shops. It was also very economical, and the staff were very helpful in resolving any issues. The little details (e.g., the free mineral water) were very thoughtful. The value for money was excellent. I'll definitely stay here again!

This hotel is a bit more than expected, and the price is very high. The lobby is more stylish, there are many accommodations, the room is large and comfortable, the breakfast is also very suitable, very recommended!
