The hotel is excellent, clean, and has complete facilities. The Kids Club offers many activities for children. Ms. Sella from reservations was incredibly helpful. The salon facilities are good, and the service is excellent, especially from Ms. Firda and Ms. Nining. Breakfast has a wide variety and everything is delicious. room always clean and spacious. staffs always attends to the guests needs immediately. the pool was quite small so i didn’t end up using it. sometimes room service food needs a little more seasoning. otherwise, good location

I had a very pleasant stay here. One of the best things about this place was the location because it was very close to the shopping mall, making it easy and convenient to buy food, shop, and spend time without traveling far. The staff members were also very kind, welcoming, and always ready to help whenever I had questions or needed assistance. Their warm attitude made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. The room was clean and the atmosphere was relaxing. Overall, it was a great experience and I would happily visit again in the future.

Nice staycation at one of the 4-star hotels in the heart of Semarang, near Simpang Lima. It's a cool new hotel, clean, and has a strategic location. Right next to the hotel, there are plenty of food options, like Tegal goat satay and authentic Semarang Hapkie noodles, plus a Superindo supermarket across the street. I often stay at this hotel chain for business trips. The breakfast menu has a good variety, including dim sum. The only downside is that the rooms don't have wardrobes, drawers, or anything like that, so there's no space to store belongings. One more important thing: please offer more attractive big discounts so I'll always book through vendors like Trip.com.

The location is still goo. The hotel is very aesthetic and has a beautiful design. There is no gym or swimming pool, but the strength of this hotel is the rooftop. It is also near a big mall in Semarang, which is convenient.

Your Review Metro Park View Hotel Kota Lama Semarang Semarang, Indonesia 3-day, 2-night experience at Metro Park View Hotel Kota Lama Semarang December 24 - 26, 2025 The location is strategic, close to Kota Lama Semarang, near the Great Mosque, and also close to shopping centers (Malls). Initially, we planned to go as a group of 4, so we booked 2 deluxe twin rooms. It turned out that another niece wanted to join, so we requested an extra bed for one room. ************* We were upgraded to an executive room. It had one king bed and one single bed. The room was spacious with a city view directly at the intersection. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the executive room. 🤭. Both rooms we stayed in were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean. However, the hot water in the bathroom wasn't hot, and neither was the water in the sink. For breakfast, the food menu was quite tasty and varied, but the restaurant was a bit small. We tried dinner at the cafe, and all the food we ordered tasted delicious, including the cakes. The service from the security staff, front desk, and even the restaurant and housekeeping staff was very friendly, kind, and served guests wholeheartedly. Thank you for everything. The hotel is quite old and very big, but everything is still well-maintained and in good condition. It offered good value for money for three people plus a friend. We enjoyed beautiful views of Mount Ungaran every morning. The breakfast was delicious, with a different menu offered daily – absolutely fantastic! One thing that made us quite reluctant to move was the incredibly long walk from the reception to the elevators. The restaurant is also quite a trek from the elevators, which is understandable given how massive this hotel is. If you're staying alone, I wouldn't recommend this hotel; you might get the creeps walking around by yourself, haha! However, if you're with a big group and kids, it's fine and not spooky. But precisely because the hotel is so huge, the distances to the elevators and restaurant are considerable, and it can feel incredibly deserted! 😭😭😱😱

Nice Stay with Great Location and Local Vibes I stayed at Surya Boutique Hotel Semarang and overall had a pretty good experience. The location is great — super close to both Poncol and Tawang train stations, so it's really convenient if you're catching a train. There's also an Indomaret and Alfamart nearby, plus tons of street food at night. The nasi goreng and bakmi Jawa around the area were seriously good! Not far from the hotel, there's an old mosque built in 1802 is really beautiful and full of history. It’s a reminder that Semarang used to be an important port city, visited by Arab and Chinese traders. Worth a quick visit if you're into cultural spots. The only downside was the receptionist during check-in , she didn’t smile and wasn’t very welcoming, which was a bit disappointing. But later in the day and the next morning, a different receptionist was on duty and she was really lovely and friendly, which made up for it. Breakfast was okay for a 2-star hotel , simple but enough. Just a heads-up: there’s no hot water kettle in the room, so if you need hot water, you might need to ask the front desk. All in all, it’s a good place if you’re looking for a convenient and affordable stay in Semarang with some nice local flavor. Hope they keep improving!
