My recent stay at Tsokkos Garden Apartments in Cyprus was underwhelming and far from what I had hoped for. Here are some key points from my experience: - **Staff**: Most of the staff lacked personality and felt robotic in their interactions. Receptionists were always helpful and available when needed. - **Food**: The vegetarian options were very limited, and I ended up eating salad, pizza, and chips for most meals. Breakfast was the best meal of the day but still below par. Family who ate meat also reported a poor quality of food. - **Pool**: The pool hours (10:00-18:00) were inconvenient, especially for someone who enjoys early morning swims. The pool was often crowded with children. - **Entertainment**: The entertainment was lackluster. Bingo was slow, the kids' disco was just music and lights, and the quiz took an eternity to finish. - **Room Issues**: The bed was uncomfortable, and we were given only one pillow, although this was resolved with a mattress topper and an extra pillow. - **Facilities**: To access food or drinks, we had to walk to the hotel, except for the small bar at the apartment pool, which was only open during the day. Wi-Fi was only available in the apartment. - **Cleaning**: The room was always well-tidied by the cleaning staff, who did so promptly while we had breakfast. - **Convenience**: Shops were a short walk away, and Jet2 staff were very helpful throughout our stay. - **Drinks and Coffee**: The coffee machine was available most of the day and night, and the drinks were of good quality. - **Dining Experience**: I often felt watched by staff during meals when it wasn’t busy, especially at breakfast. We were only offered one drink at dinner and never asked if we wanted a refill. - **Balcony**: The balcony had a lovely view of the pool. - **Water Slides**: We had access to a hotel with water slides across the road, but this was not explained to us by the staff. Overall, I would not recommend Tsokkos Garden Apartments. It was not worth the flight time or the money spent.
