Lovely hotel at a very good location. Modern, nicely decorated for Christmas. Polite staff, good choice for breakfast and dinner. Christmas dinner was something out of this world( been to many hotels, but Xmas dinner now will be hard to match). Not sure if it is always like this but we were the youngest in the hotel(43&47)during the first part of holidays and only later some other younger people joined us. The average age was 60's 😁 This hotel is not orientated to children but for us it was perfect- no screaming and shouting and our girl had fun in the pool by Herself and her cousin🤣 I wanted to book Spring Hotel Bitacora at first but now I am thinking that I made an excellent choice . That said, I might try it out next time just because of the All nclusive service Bitacora provides. It was a nice quiet stay so if you expect something like Turkey, eith music around the pool, kids disco and shows, this hotel is not for you. We were half board and 4 days we ate at the pool bar and were never disappointed. Good food and reasonable prices. We didn't book UP option because we were with the kids( it's for 18+)but if I ever come without them- I will try it out! Pros: Very good location Modern hotel Heated pools( wheelchair friendly) Good food and service Cons: No shampoo in a room! It's a first for me 🙈 The tiles in the pool (mosaic) need replacement. My daughter filled probably half of the carrier bag from the bottom saw of the pool🤣 All in all- perfect stay and believe me, I am picky. It is one of the hotels I would recommend to my friends and family

We decided that having retired we would spend 4 weeks in this hotel . We had previously stayed 4 times already in 2023 and brought others to the hotel also. We splashed out and paid for 4 weeks which was just under €7k for the UP! service. All was well for the first week, half way through the second week my husband visited the bar and asked for 2 glasses of ice . You can imagine our surprise when he was asked for €2 having spent this money on a “luxury” holiday. So every day my husband went to the shop for ice out of principle. Their staff were clearly embarrassed at having to charge for ice. Half way through our second week we received a note to say that we were no longer receiving bottled water. This is despite the fact that we had already paid for bottled water in our booking . We complained about this and were told that we should BUY their containers and use the tap water stations on our floor. We took these containers to the restaurant and were refused glasses for our water as we were told these were not allowed in the restaurant. Puzzled by this we asked why. They said we had to buy water in there. So effectively what they are saying is it’s ok to be “green” in the rooms to save them money but not in the restaurant where they can charge for bottled water. A bit of double standards. The containers were €3.95 and broke twice. We complained and were basically told tough luck. This was until my husband spoke to Ariana. Then these were refunded. In the third week some building work started at the back of the UP! area. Although the noise was a bit annoying it didn’t bother us too much. Over the coming days the noise got louder and louder to the point where it was unbearable and the dust was everywhere and we both nearly skipped at the lift on the glass floors. Next they segregated off an area where the jacuzzi was to replace it. It remained cordoned off for a week with no on e working on it. We complained to reception and to Mar Alonso. The so called Hotel Manager. Asked for a meeting with her which didn’t happen. The last straw was when they started doing work to the area which served food. There was plastering going on and the food was not covered . Absolutely shocking. We complained and asked for compensation. None was received. Several other guests were equally annoyed and had written emails to no avail. So we left 5 days early. This is actually a lovely hotel with just poor poor management. We write to Ms Alonso and Jo Robinson with NO RESPONSE. So they have left us no option on this review. All it takes some times is customer service! We know several other guests have written to these directors and received no response. For anyone going there soon I suggest you ask in advance if all works are finished. Buy your own water in this luxury establishment!

Pros- Amazing location, couple minute walk from the Hard Rock Cafe and beach front. €6-7 taxi to Siam park/mall. 20 minute transfer time from airport Rooms are clean and big. We had a walk in shower and was kindly upgraded to a pool view. Balcony is good. Safe in the room, €10 deposit then €3 daily charge. Towels are provided you get a card and exchange it with the life guard. Not many children. If you did have small toddlers they would be fine here as it’s so quiet. Not sure it’s suitable for teens. The pool area is quiet, if you want a super relaxing holiday then this hotel is that The pool restaurant has good food (can’t pay cash) Reception are really friendly and helpful The games room is really good with darts, pool, table tennis and it’s always empty Can access YouTube on the tv in the room Very friendly for people with mobility issues, looks like there is accessible rooms on the bottom floor facing the pool with sun loungers and no steps to gain entry to the room, chair lifts at the pool where the lifeguard will assist you getting into the pool Supermarket 2 min walk, next to the hotel on the right. Sold everything you needed Mini fridge in the room, was able to keep our drinks cold. Courtesy room to use as we had an evening flight, really modern. Everything you need Cons- Can hear when people are in their room. Taps being turned on, chairs moving, talking Lifts take a while Suited to the older generation, we are in our 20s No atmosphere around the pool, no music, not much talking going on Dinner starting at 8 oclock and have to book a reservation to go into it. Food isn’t the best, not hot. (We didn’t try dinner as it was 8 o’clock which is too late) breakfast is really meh and I wouldn’t even recommend going to it If you get put on floor 2 or 3 facing the lobby and you go to bed around 10pm you will hear the music from the entertainment The pillows are so unbelievably flat, we asked for more which they gave but it didn’t help at all.

This was my fifth or sixth time in Vulcano hotel over the years. Despite the wonderful staff in the reception and the dining room the hotel has changed and not for the better. A bed in our bedroom was unstable and at 2 am one morning I was tossed onto the concrete floor when I moved in the bed and the whole bed tipped up. A complaint to hotel led to a move of room. Quite concerning. Hotel rules about reserving sun beds and inflatable toys in the pool totally ignored and not enforced. People throwing balls to each other in the pool without regard to other pool users was a problem There was no dress code for dinner and men guests appeared in sleeveless vests, caps and hoodies with the hood up and swim shorts. Standards have fallen badly. If you enjoy a G&T in your room you will be charged one Euro for a few cubes of ice. Whoever thought this was a good idea does not know much about good-will. I very much regret that our days at Vulcano may be over.

My husband and I returned to the Vulcano Hotel as we had a great stay on our previous visit in March 2023. Unfortunately our visit in April 2024 did not live up to our expectations. The staff, rooms, foyer and hotel grounds are outstanding, but the food at dinner was of extremely poor quality. The ‘show cooking’ was a big let down, with COOKED steaks and RAW chicken being prepared on the same griddle!!! The fish was so overcooked it was dry and crispy!! It was so bad we decided to eat out after our second night, which made our holiday very expensive. We paid extra for Balance Terrace as we had experienced this in 2023 and loved it, but again this has changed and was definitely not the ‘chill out area with ambient music’ as described on the hotel website. In fact there was no music! The lifeguard mostly sat in the corner opposite the bar and talked very loudly on his mobile (on loudspeaker) for long periods during the day and slept in between times. Where he sat was not within sight or hearing distance of the pool. My husband reported it to management who spoke to the employee concerned. The evening entertainment wasn’t to our taste but there are plenty of bars with live music nearby. The hotel is in a great location but unless the food improves we wouldn’t consider a return visit.

Hotel, rooms, decor, etc… are beautiful. Entertainment very good, specially Elvis Presley. Breakfast very god, specifically Bacon. Staff is excellent (reception, housekeeping…). We will certainly be back again probably in November, hope to see Andrea

Recently returned from our annual 4 weekly stay at the Vulcano which really does help charge the batteries! The hotel is without doubt an extremely well-oiled machine which every member of staff contributes to. During our recent visit, special thanks to Arianna, Andrea, Noeline & Elena who more than played their part in making our stay so enjoyable. Looking forward to seeing you all again next year.
