B&B Roma 474

Very glad I booked this B & B. Wasn’t disappointed after the reviews I read. It’s located in what resembles an office building. There are other apartments in the building, many to students studying from abroad. Room was a nice size, good sized bathroom, ac worked great. Little balcony with a table and chairs to sit on in the evening. Comfortable bed and pillows. Room was cleaned everyday. Marco, our host was great. Extremely helpful as far as directions to places, recommending nearby restaurants. Getting us a taxi. We were provided daily with an Italian style breakfast, pastries and cake. Cereal offered too. There was an expresso machine that used pods for coffee, like a Kuerig. Tea and milk provided. This was available anytime, not just for breakfast. Snacks too. Because I’m type 2 diabetic, I need protein at each meal. Very fortunately for us, there was a little grocery shop literally right beside us. I was able to go in and get cheese and sliced meat for myself. There was a fridge in the eating area, so we could put whatever we purchased in it. Food, wine, water etc. Took a bit to figure out where to catch the Metro. Thank goodness for to Google maps!! Was approx 10-12 minutes from the B & B. There were several wonderful restaurants in the area we ate at. No more than a 10 minute walk. Even a McDonalds!!! Not that we ever graced it’s presence. Really was a busy, vibrant area. If we were to go back to Rome, we would never hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend.
