Wingate by Wyndham Detroit Metro Airport Reviews

The hotel is close to the airport so it is convenient for a 1 night stay. We booked the hotel for its airport shuttle service, however we were disappointed because the driver was very rude. We scheduled an airport drop off  at 12 noon, however reception called   at 11am asking if we could come down in 5 mins because the driver is leaving already and next transfer would be at 1pm. We rushed to accommodate the driver’s request. When we got down, there was no greeting at all. He stopped at the arrival area to pickup passengers, and when we asked if he was dropping us off at the departure area, he raised his voice and told us to get off and walk. He started ranting off about being on the job for 7 years and he knows his job and not to make him feel stupid. We asked because we honestly didn’t know as it was our first time using the shuttle service. He was VERY VERY VERY rude!!! If it weren’t for Melissa at the reception, we would have given 0 stars for service at this hotel. Will never go back, our experience with this driver was HELL!! 😡😡😡

My flight departure at 6am. So I booked the hotel shuttle bus at 4:30am during check in, as the shuttle bus departures every 30 min. My two children and I came to hotel lobby at 4:25am. The front desk rudely told me that the bus had left 10 minutes ago. I asked why, as the bus is schedule to departure at 4:30am, and I pre-registered. She said it was my fault because I should come downstairs at 4:15am. After she checked-in another guest, she told me the next shuttle would come around 4:45-4:50am. She said I should call Uber if urgent. While I was waiting for the Uber,  at a very rude attitude Although we purchased 3 breakfast, but the breakfast was not opened yet. So I asked the front desk if she can offer bottles of water to my children instead. She refused. However, she gave water to the guest who was just checked-in. The guest left the water at front desk, so I tried to pass him the bottle. The front dest shouted at me to stop. Then she exchanged two new bottles of water to the guest because I touched the bottle… I wouldn’t come to this hotel after this horrible experience.

The hotel was perfect for a last minute booking due to flight delays. The staff was amazing and friendly. The airport pick up and drop off was super convenient!

Hotel was clean and staff were helpful. Breakfast was adequate but could be better.

I enjoy this place for business travel, great service, good atmosphere, nice amenities, and very well with cleanliness! Highly recommended!

The Hotel is not more than two stars , the only thing good about it are the reception desk ladies whom are very nice but the hotel itself is bad and it is not as bright as it looks in the pictures , the washroom is the worst part , the fan is noisy with no suction , toilet pipe is leaking water ,one very small bar of soap and no place were you can put it , too close to the airport very noisy , breakfast Suck , if Parking late at night hardly you can find a dark spot at one corner if you are lucky , for the price I do not recommend it and We will not go there again.

My only solace was a makeshift one-night stay at the Wyndham in Detroit, which was about the same level as a budget hotel. America has truly declined.

The gym is old and the facilities are bad; it's under renovation.

It's very close to the car rental shop, within walking distance. If you're renting a car, you can return it early and then walk to the hotel; there's a shuttle bus to the airport. The environment is average; book according to your actual needs.

I didn't use the shuttle because it was only about a 5-minute ride for $13 by Uber. The female staff were very friendly. Although the building is old, it was well-maintained and clean; there were no bugs at all, and the room had a refrigerator and a microwave. The air conditioning and ventilation worked well, and the vending machines in the hallway sold drinks and water for $1.50, which was very cheap. Cold water is also sold at the front desk. Almost everything I needed was there. The shower pressure wasn't weak, but everything was fine except for the toilet pressure being so low that I had to flush twice. The area around the building was brightly lit with streetlights all night, and there were 24-hour facilities nearby, such as McDonald's, so the area felt safe. I am satisfied.

Breakfast is a big pit

確實衹適合商務出差臨時住一晚，距離機場最近的酒店，周圍有商店和一個麥當勞，確保維持生命特徵那種，其他啥也沒有，環境還行

房間還可以吧，住一兩個晚上沒問題，前台服務態度也非常好，房間也比較乾淨，安全。就在機場租車行avis和budget旁邊，可以從機場坐shuttle到酒店，旁邊有家麥當勞可以吃點東西。雖然比不上4/5星酒店，但還是挺乾淨的，安全，温暖的。
