"My kid insisted on a hot spring hotel for Chinese New Year, and since we'd pretty much stayed at all the ones in Nanjing, we opted for Hantian in Tianmu Lake. **Cleanliness:** The hotel's overall cleanliness was really good, from the rooms to the hot springs and the restaurant. **Environment:** The environment is genuinely lovely, nestled by mountains and water. The resort is also quite spacious, perfect for kids. **Facilities:** The room was big enough, but the facilities felt a bit outdated. There's plenty of parking, but spaces near the main building are scarce, so you often have to park at P4. Although there's a shuttle, it still felt a bit inconvenient. **Service:** The service was genuinely excellent. Before our arrival, a dedicated butler contacted us, sent us the location, and reminded us about breakfast times. **Welcome Fruit & Minibar:** We stayed two nights, and they provided these daily. We didn't finish the fruit on the first day, but they still replenished it on the second. The minibar also had a good variety, including two cans of beer, which saved us a trip out. **Couple's 180° Lake View Half-Mountain Hot Spring Tickets:** They also included daily hot spring tickets and trampoline park tickets. The hot springs were indeed fantastic, with many pools. The lakeside pools offered breathtaking views, and with the good weather these past two days, we could even see the Big Dipper."

"We originally booked a hotel near the Nanshan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area, but the housekeeper Xiao Liu called to communicate and said that during the off-season, he would be upgraded to a deluxe king-size bed suite at the main hotel, Yue Nanshan Hotel, for free, which was far away from the scenic area. In addition to the huge room, the hotel is located in the mountains and forests. It is quite quiet. The hotel is antique. The waterfall wall and water curtain corridor are popular check-in points for Internet celebrities. The main desk is on the fourth floor, which is also quite special. The breakfast provided is also quite rich. Even in the off-season, there are many varieties, which is good! Although it is almost two kilometers away from the hot springs and the Bamboo Sea, the door is right at the door of Liyang Highway 1, which is a flat river. "Staying for two nights was so relaxing! The lakeside hot spring tickets for two: Soaking in the hot springs at night was very atmospheric. We prepared our swimsuits beforehand; the hot springs have changing rooms, but we changed in our room, put on our robes, and headed over. Each hot spring had a water temperature display, and there were mugwort, carnation, and traditional Chinese medicine pools. After soaking for a while, we felt so comfortable, slightly sweaty, and warm all over. You should definitely try the hotel's casserole fish head. Our butler service was very warm and attentive. I personally think the hotel breakfast is on par with a five-star hotel. While it doesn't have as much variety as a five-star, it has everything you need. The room facilities are a bit dated. We went to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The package with a meal was the most cost-effective. A shuttle bus takes you to the entrance. You walk a bit, then take a one-way mini-train. You can either take the cable car to the mountaintop first or the ground cable car to the panda house first. Both the cable car and ground cable car tickets are round trip. If you're tired on the way back, just buy a one-way mini-train ticket. If you still have energy, you can walk, and you'll pass by the Little Goose Park to watch a show. The whole trip took about 4 hours. After leaving, we ate the meal included in the package – you can choose between a hot pot restaurant or a fish head restaurant. We chose hot pot, and the two pots were more than enough for two people. Parking was 15 for one visit."

"We originally booked an elegant standard room. I'd heard great things about the hotel's private hot spring rooms, and luckily there was a promotion when we arrived, so we upgraded to a hot spring room for a small extra charge. The room was fantastic! It had its own private hot spring tub and was on a secluded floor. Even the key cards were custom-designed, which was a nice touch. Service: Butler Dai Dai provided excellent service. I happened to mention that the black rice at breakfast was really good, and Butler Dai Dai overheard me and sent some up to our room – so thoughtful and attentive, highly recommend! Cleanliness: The room was spotless, the bedding was clean, and the mattress was super comfortable. The private hot spring tub water is changed after every guest, and the privacy was excellent. Ambiance: The overall hotel environment is lovely. The central courtyard's water curtain wall is a great spot for photos. Definitely recommend!"

"🛏️About the room: Booked a twin room, but the hotel only has 3 floors?! We were arranged on the 2nd floor facing the parking lot. As soon as the window was opened, there were cars coming and going. It was stuffy when the curtains were drawn. The sense of privacy was directly reduced to zero😅I wanted to change rooms but was told that ”all rooms are like this”. I couldn't bring two kids with me and had to make do with it... 🎙️Late-night horror moment: I never expected to run into ”classmates' reunion and team building for old uncles and aunts who graduated 20 or 30 years ago”! The uncles and aunts were still talking at 10:50 pm. The sound insulation was not good, and the experience was directly negative! 🍉Welcome gift was a big failure: I used points to exchange for ”Welcome Fruit Yogurt”, but I got a small tomato (one of which was rotten) + 2 cans of 100g Mengniu yogurt... Let's say that the points were exchanged for loneliness😓 💧The most confusing operation: The child needs warm water to make milk powder, and there are only 2 bottles of free mineral water in the room. I asked the housekeeper for 2 more bottles, but he said ”refills are charged”? ? ? The layout is too small🤦♀️ 🍳 Big disappointment in breakfast: It is advertised as ”rich buffet”, but in fact, children over 120cm are charged 68 yuan, but looking at it: biscuits, twisted dough sticks, three kinds of white porridge... hot dishes are like lettuce and cauliflower, with few choices and low value for money!"

"The hotel is newly opened, but the room doesn't have the smell of being renovated. The hotel is very close to Tianmu Lake and Hantian. There are not many hotel rooms, which is more private than other places. The whole hotel environment is very good, the room area is large, and the breakfast is also semi-self-service. The hot food is cooked to order. We chose a meal package. The meal is not a set meal. You can order any dish on the menu. The Tianmu Lake fish head soup on the table is really good. The taste and appearance of the dishes are very high. The taste is very good. The service of the front desk lady is also very enthusiastic. When checking in, she gave us warm black tea. I really recommend this place."

"Food: Breakfast was varied, with western，asian and local. We had Dinner at the main buiding using ******* set menu and it was a good deal, as the 2 person deal is enough to feed 4 and tasted quite delicious. Location: it is a resort so you are going to spend most of the time on the resort ground. We booked 3 day 2 night and the time was enough to explore everything. Nice scenery. Amenities: only a few activities were covered in our package so it will depend on your package. The package was confusing and we didnt know exactly all the activities that were free or cost extra. The reception on check in should have explained all of this upon check in, but maybe they are not trained, or maybe because our accomadation at pinecone is considered 4 star so they used lower quality staff. All the free stuff are a bit lame and service was poor except for the craft lady who actually showed us a wechat app for the hotel where free activity voucher can be found. They outsourced the activity area so that is really poor decision as it hurts the brand image due to service levels. For hotel staff, thumbs up to the shuttle ladies, who you call to get from one place to another. They are prompt and speedy. Service: check in staff was professional but not warm. As mentioned, the activity area is outsourced so most staff are cold and seemed rude, except for the craft lady who was actually decent. But considering this resort and the type of guest, i would consider this really bad. Cleaniness: the room is very clean, a bit worn (see pics of wall), but it feels quite clean."

"This is a regular hotel, not a homestay. It is about 20 minutes' walk and five minutes' drive from Nanshan Bamboo Sea. This hotel is relatively large around Nanshan Bamboo Sea, with an outdoor swimming pool and a large pond with landscape. Parking is also very convenient, and you can park anywhere as long as there is a gap. The room is quite standard, and two 1.5-meter beds are suitable for a family outing, and it is not crowded at all. There is also a children's slide in the room, as well as a free racing car. It is recommended that the hotel understand the guests' situation in advance. If the guests' children are older, there is no need to arrange a room with a slide, which can't be played at all and takes up space. The breakfast is also quite standard. Many people ate at 7 o'clock in the morning, and everyone rushed to the first wave to go to Nanshan after eating. Finally, I would like to praise the front desk at 7 o'clock in the evening on May 1st. It is really enthusiastic, and they are not tired of answering guests' questions and giving reasonable suggestions. Such a front desk is to increase the impression points of the hotel!"
