"I didn't have high expectations, but after checking in, I found the views to be even better than in the pictures! The environment is very comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. The water pressure is also excellent, and you can look out at the sea! It would be even better if the weather was good. However, when checking in, the staff told us they had upgraded our room, but later on Trip.com, I discovered the 'upgraded' room was actually cheaper than the one we originally booked."

"Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort I stayed in a room with a private pool. A little splurge on myself! It was so fun to have my own pool, to wake up in the morning and just jump into the water for a little cooling off. I could lay on the recliner and read to my heart’s content with no distractions, feet in the water. Morning breakfasts are fantastic and the beach view is amazing! Staff are friendly and helpful. What to know?: it’s the “Cliff Beach Resort”, which means your on a hill… which means climbing. It’SA steep walk from room to beach, but a great opportunity to get your blood flowing. Embrace it. Room for growth: the bedding smelled a bit sour. It’s wet here, so making sure things dry properly is a challenge. My greatest complaint about the room is that there was a ladder propped up against the backside of the pool wall, meaning someone could climb it right into my private room. A little sketch. The ladder is for maintenance, so I just pushed it off the wall. The pool could use a bit of chlorine as algae was present on the pool walls, but honestly, I’d rather have the non-chemical water. The biggest negative which the hotel has no control over is the nighttime noise. There’s a bar across the street which pumps loud music (starting at 10pm and going til like 4am). The hotel actually gives you earplugs when you check in. So lame. There’s two pools. One up on top of the cliff with excellent views. One down by the ocean. Overall, a pleasant stay."

"The hotel grounds are amazing, full of wildlife and nature (no spiders or snakes though). Breakfast was really good and had a great variety. The beach water was clean and the pools were nice. The biggest downside was the terrible soundproofing in the sea-view rooms on the hillside. We could clearly hear our neighbors talking and playing music all night. We called the reception several times, but nothing changed. In the end we just had to wait until they finished partying and went to sleep. The rooms are also a bit worn out. Some mold in places and the plumbing feels outdated. Location-wise, it’s quite inconvenient without a bike or car. The hotel shuttle runs rarely, and every ride to town on a songthaew costs about 50–70 baht per person, which becomes 2–3 times more expensive in the evening."

"The staff provided excellent service. The accommodation is conveniently located near restaurants, bars, and other amenities, making it easy to get around. The place itself was okay and clean, but the blanket had a slight musty smell. The room had a moderate dusty odor, which caused both my partner and me to have allergic reactions. The property also has its own restaurant area and a swimming pool. Overall, I was impressed."

"The hotel is located right on the beach and has a cute yellow-themed cafe. The cafe staff are super friendly. They serve food, drinks, and ice cream. At night, there's a light show, but it's very short, only about 10 minutes (not impressive at all). However, the room rates are affordable, and the style is a mix of Thai and something else, maybe Indian or Middle Eastern. They don't serve pork, only chicken. *The bathroom in both rooms we stayed in smelled like a sewer.* But overall, it's inexpensive and the cafe is lovely."

"Nice room and decent hotel. Breakfast looks better than it tastes. The warm daily dishes are disappointing and there is absence of good Thai food. The bread, deli meat, cheeses, bread and salad choices are fine. Eggs and waffles are made to order and they are fine. Restaurant is not air conditioned and has small fans which add very little ventilation. Had issues twice with air conditioning and tub. Maid kept room very clean and made towels into pretty shapes along with flowers on bed. Made mistake of coming in May and it was miserably hot and most chairs are not shielded from the sun. The beach although beautiful is very narrow and filled with large rocks and coral so not good for walking or swimming. Had to walk down beach to find a better beach area but it lacked shade. If you can get the room without the 300 baht each normal charge I would suggest it. We had one day nearby in a cheaper hotel because we arrived late. Problem we had in May is there very few breakfast choices near either hotel. Very few street food vendors and mainly overpriced western food. Took several days to find good Thai food. I would recommend Koh Kood if you are alone. Better beaches and cheaper foods"

"The room was small and the facilities were old, including the comforter, which wasn't good. The hotel's ambiance, a Southeast Asian rainforest theme, was actually quite nice, but the room itself wasn't comfortable. I booked a two-night stay but realized I misremembered my flight date and could only stay one night. I tried to talk to the hotel about a refund for the second night, but they refused, and they also wouldn't refund the extra charge for my child. The service was absolutely terrible."
