The room was simple but clean and quiet, the breakfast was buffet style and delicious and comfortable stay. It faces Nakajima Park across the street and is also suitable for walking around Nakajima Park in the morning. The location of the hotel is the nearest station of Horohirabashi Station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway Nanboku Line, about 5 walk from the station, and the transportation is convenient. The chain of this hotel has a long-established inn in Hokkaido such as ”Hotel Nord” and ”Hakodate International Hotel”, and it was polite to respond to the employees, probably because of the influence.

Small room, 1 block from the Snow Festival's Susukino Ice Sculptures We stayed here for 7 nights during the Sapporo Snow Festival. Our GPS didn't work very well so it took a while to get to our hotel. It's about 6 blocks from the subway exit. Best to know the way to get there beforehand but there are many exits from the subway which can get confusing. The hotel itself is modern. The rooms are very small. No closet so if you have a lot of luggage, this could be a problem. Next to the bed is a tiny table and chair/stool. Complimentary tea. The best amenity is that it has a public washer and dryer for your laundry on the 6th floor. When traveling, this is a gold standard. It cost 300 yen for the washer and 100 yen for the dryer. I had to cycle the dryer a few times but still very reasonable for the convenience. The laundry room also has vending machines for hot and cold drinks and a microwave. Their restaurant offers a simple buffet for breakfast for 1000 yen. English is limited. As far as location, if you are planning on going to the Snow Festival, I would recommend booking a hotel early (almost a year ahead) so you can stay closer to Odori train station. While you can walk from the Susukino to Odori subway station underground (or take the train), it can get tiresome by the end of the day especially walking through the snow once you get to the festival. The plus side of staying in Susukino is that the subway is close so you can get to most attractions around Sapporo with subway and a bus ride/walking the rest of the way. The ice sculptures which are part of the snow festival are located nearby this hotel.

Overall is good, however, we had booked a 3 persons room, but we could only have 2 room keycards. The counter peoples said that it is your hotel rule, they can only give 2 room keycards regardless of what room type it is. It is very inconvenient, in order to suit for each person shopping preference, we come back to hotel at different time. With only 2 room keys, we need to go down to pick up the one who did not have room key as the lift does not stop at guest floor without key. I travel a lot, most hotel will provide room keycard for each guest, so 3-person room should have 3 room key cards.

Nice location which is not far from the station Odori. But it was a pity there is no onsen in the hotel. The reception was nice. The bathroom in the room was lage compared with the other hotel I stayed when I was in Hokkaido. 😂

Our trip to sapporo this round was aiming for Sapporo Winter Festival. It has been my dream years ago. It is such a blessing that the my room view is direct to the area of odori park. I was able to watch how they set up for the festival week. Location of hotel is walkable distance to most of the tourist spots, and also location walkable distance to tram station and train station. Since we took airport limousine bus, they dropped us straight in front of the hotel. And most importantly, i booked also package from another site that require us to wait at the lobby. Very convenient! They provide towels and aminities without us request. Thank you so much!!! Definitely will be back!

We recently stayed at the Grand Mercury in Sapporo and had a generally positive experience. The hotel's location is very strategic, allowing easy access to various attractions in the city. One of the major perks was the free parking, which added significant convenience to our stay. The room size was quite large, providing ample space for our kids to run around, which was a big plus for us. Additionally, the location is pretty quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. While the hotel was fairly clean, it wasn't spotless. I'd give the cleanliness a rating of about 8 out of 10. The service was okay, with many self-service options available, which might suit some guests more than others. Overall, the Grand Mercury is a good choice if you're looking for a convenient location, spacious rooms, and free parking in Sapporo.

We stayed in nine hotels during our six week Winter visit to Japan; this hotel was the third most stylish but the second most uncomfortable. The corner double room has the right look with a little tea room next to a floor to ceiling window. We had a partial view of the Botanical Gardens which was pretty. The room was uncomfortable for the following reasons: 1. No storage. The room fit out is super minimal but if you have luggage there's nowhere to put it and no hanging space. 2. The designer was going for a zen low lighting experience but the room was so dark we couldn't see anything. There is one dim lamp next to the bed and another low light overhead light. It was so dark we had to borrow desk lamps to be able to see into our suitcases. Maybe the designer was trying to create a moody atmosphere but we found it dreary and depressing. 3. The thermostat has no fine controls - the room was either way too hot or very cold. We chose to turn the heat off and borrow extra blankets and wear extra layers. We chose the corner double room which despite being one of the larger rooms, felt too cramped for a four day stay. The onsen was stylish and cool. The outdoor onsen was set in cute snowscape. Having an onsen with snow around you felt very luxe. Unfortunately this hotel attracts a certain young, nouveau riche clientele who take selfies endlessly in this Instagram ready hotel. There were men taking photos of themselves in the onsen on two occasions; I felt like my privacy had been violated as I was in the same bath. It upset me they didn't respect me enough to abstain from taking video footage. Did they do that just because my partner and I were clearly not Japanese? We enjoyed the authentic breakfast, although I feel like having it once probably would have been enough. The location of the hotel was a bit of a dead zone, unless you love walking there are probably more central locations. If you can't speak Japanese the staff are just OK. I was overcharged and managed to get a refund even despite the language barrier. I would not stay at this hotel again but I did enjoy certain aspects of my stay.

GGuest UserI stayed for one night on March 12th. It is a newly built shiny hotel near Odori Park. First of all, the front desk feels better and polite. When I contacted you that the arrival time was delayed, I was happy before entering the room because I said with a smile that thank you for contacting me. There is a rental corner on the 1st floor where you can borrow shampoo for free, such as emulsion and cleansing. This time it was a cheap plan from 20:00, but next time I wanted to stay more. I'm happy with free coffee. The cleaning staff greeted me cheerfully at the time of departure. The cospa is outstanding and the rooms are clean, and above all, it is recommended at a hotel with good customer service ♪

MMei Leng LimI recently stayed at the Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo for three nights in a Standard Family Room on the 7th floor and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The room comfortably accommodated our group of four, and we were pleasantly surprised to find two separate bathrooms with bathtubs, which added a significant level of convenience for our family. While the room did not offer any particular views, the value for money was undeniable. The hotel's buffet spread was another highlight of our stay. With a wide variety of options, it catered well to different tastes and preferences, ensuring a satisfying start to each day. A couple of logistical aspects made our stay even more seamless. We were able to return our rental car directly at the hotel, having rented from Toyota Rent-a-Car. This saved us a lot of time and hassle. Additionally, we utilized the Airport Bus service from the hotel, purchasing tickets easily at the front desk on the day of our departure. This convenience allowed us to relax and enjoy our last moments in Sapporo without any stress. One of the most impressive aspects of our stay was the excellent service. We had purchased quite a bit of chocolate from the Royce Chocolate Factory, and the hotel staff went above and beyond by accepting and storing our delivery until we arrived a day or two later. This level of service truly enhanced our experience. The hotel's location is another significant advantage. It is about a 10-minute walk from Sapporo Station, making it very accessible. For those interested in exploring local shopping areas, Tanuki Koji is a manageable 30-minute walk away. Overall, the Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo offers excellent value for money with its well-appointed rooms, great amenities, convenient location, and outstanding service. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sapporo.

77samuraiWe visited Sapporo for the snow festival in Feb 2020. We selected the Leopalace based on location/price and reviews. On arrival, due to the weather and late night we decided to take a taxi to the hotel, this cost about Y1000. (after our stay it was fine weather, so we walked back to the JR station which took about 15 minutes). NB - neither my wife or myself speak Japanese, just a few phrases. Check in at the hotel was easy and straight forward, and we were directed to lifts behind reception. Our room was clean and spacious by Japanese standards. We chose not to book breakfasts, we were there for the snow festival so there was a huge variety of fresh market style food available. The hotel was a very short walk from the main avenue where the festival is held. There is 7/11 located on the corner of the hotel and also a long shopping arcade a couple of minutes walkaway. We wanted to use the hotels spa facility which is shown to be on floor 9. we put on the robes provided but having taken the lift up to floor 9 we found only bedrooms. so we called reception and mistakenly asked for direction to the onsen (we should have said public bath) because we asked for the wrong thing we were told the hotel does not have an onsen and then they hung up the phone. So I changed in to regular clothes went to reception and eventually worked out that the only way to the spa was via another lift in reception. Because we had to walk through reception we elected to wear regular clothes which was fortunate because eonce we found the spa area there were large signs telling you in English) not to wear your robes in reception, of course by the time you read that in the spa you would have already walked through reception. I don't mind if there is little English signage but if you take the time to have English translations put them where they can be of use - IN THE ROOMS. (oh and you need to take the towels from your room to use in the spa too) . We found the room temperature very comfortable and both slept well during our stay. We asked the reception to make a dinner reservation for us at a popular restaurant for our second night, this took a little while as initially they assumed we wanted to book into the hotel resturant, but once we passed this confusion they reception were very helpful. Making sure we had our booking reference and even showing us on a map where it was (even though we already knew this). Other than the phone call about the onsen/bath we found the reception staff very friendly and willing to help.

GGuest UserOf this 5-day trip, it was only 1 night and 2 days, but I was able to experience it with color 々. 1. First of all, regarding the time of booking, this time, Haneda-New Chitose - Sapporo-Use public transportation. When I asked for a shuttle bus reservation from Sapporo by phone, I said that the reservation was confirmed first, so I made a hotel reservation by airmail (arrived around 14:00) on the web, and when I called (bus: 14:00, 15:00, It was recognized that it departed at 16:00), but now it is full only at 14:00. Therefore, I am tired of the bus stop near the New Chitose-Sapporo-Makomanai-Hotel 3. First of all, I wanted a guide of ”full seat” only at 2 o'clock. 2. Check-in was smooth (travel discounts were not used), but the shuttle bus to Sapporo tomorrow morning was ”full and I couldn't wait for cancellation.” 3. The room (T / W on the 10th floor) was wider than I imagined (reservation of an inexpensive main building) and was easy to use, but the equipment, closet, bath / toilet, etc. were ”quite old” for a few minutes. However, the view is good in the river side room, There was no difference in use. However, I felt that the safety box and costume tray in the closet were placed on the floor, and that they would be considered and equipped in the user's position by attaching shelf boards. 4. I used the bath on the 1st and 16th floors. It's a large hotel that is not ashamed of, and it can be used by a large number of people, but when using it, there were few users, so I was able to spend my time to my heart's content. There are individual differences, but I felt that the hot water temperature was a little low. 5. Meals (evening and breakfast) were lined up at some counters, but I thought it was unavoidable. The variety was diverse, but honestly, I couldn't feel any characteristics now. For example (dinner), a large amount of steak was prepared and it was at the counter, but the arrangement (grilled, served, decorated position, etc.), and (breakfast) seafood bowl (rice, seafood, etc.) was also served by each person. I prepared only rice (normal and small amounts of 2 seeds) in advance, and felt that the flow of people could be smoothly made, so that it would be fun and delicious. There are also many waiters and waitresses, so why not engage in service plus service such as lowering tableware and serving meals? 6. The next morning, I asked the front desk (whether or not the shuttle bus was available), but the same was true.
