Scenic Hotels in Zhoushan

"Traveling during the May Day holiday, this pet-friendly hotel left me a bit underwhelmed, perhaps due to my high expectations. Parking was limited, so I'd advise against driving if possible. One evening, the underground garage was full, and I was asked to park in a distant overflow lot. Unfortunately, the shuttle service wasn't well-coordinated, which was a minor annoyance. The driveways were also very narrow, making passing difficult and definitely not beginner-driver friendly. The 'pet-friendly' aspect also fell short. Some of the sofas in the outdoor pet dining area were badly mildewed (I took photos but decided not to post them after the hotel waived the pet cleaning fee when I mentioned it at check-out). The hotel's landscaping was poor; there wasn't even a suitable place to walk my dog. I had high hopes for the pet menu, but even during May Day, they were out of stock, with only one option available. Unfortunately, my dog had already eaten beef that day, so we couldn't try it. The breakfast selection was very limited, and the quality wasn't great, which doesn't align with a resort hotel's positioning. Soundproofing was also an issue; in the mornings, I could hear square dancing music, and in the afternoons, the noisy children's play area was clearly audible, even with the windows closed. There's also nothing to see or do around the hotel, further contradicting its resort status. The only positive was that the hot tub filled up quickly, making for a decent soak."

"This was my first time staying at Ruyige, and the dock transfer was incredibly smooth. The hotel offers vegetarian meals all day, which makes it an excellent choice for those seeking a Buddhist-friendly environment. It's close to Puji Temple, with plenty of dining options nearby, and you can even order delivery from Guming. Overall, the service I received was commensurate with the price I paid, which is a definite plus. Now, I'll mention a few drawbacks for future guests. Firstly, everything is explicitly priced. From sodas and biscuits in the room to incense sticks, everything costs extra and isn't included in the room rate. If you don't want to pay extra, be aware of this. Even the calligraphy in the tea room isn't free, costing 98 yuan per hour. While it's not compulsory spending, having to pay for every little thing might not appeal to everyone. The wet and dry separation in our room was very poorly designed. The toilet room had an inward-opening wooden door, and I nearly hit my head getting up in the middle of the night. The light switch design was also inconvenient. If you turn off the main switch, you're left stumbling in the dark until you reach the toilet, where only a night light can be activated, and even that has a frustratingly short duration, leaving women to wash their hands in the dark after using the restroom. The water pressure at the bathroom sink was very low and didn't aim properly into the basin. On the brighter side, the hotel's complimentary travel photography service was enjoyable and a nice way to explore the hotel."

"This is my second time staying at this guesthouse. I also stayed in the ”Jianxi” room here last year when I visited Putuoshan, and I especially love the name. The landlady always makes sure to take off her shoes before entering the room to deliver anything, which is very touching. The room is exceptionally clean, with a unique incense scent, and the vases are always full of fresh flowers. They even bring a plate of sweet oranges every day. It's a 10-minute walk to Puji Temple, which is a leisurely stroll. The best part was buying a handmade bracelet from the landlady; it was beautiful and inexpensive. I'll definitely come back next time."

Service is warm and efficient, especially thanks to Mingo, who is thoughtful, professional, and always ready to help. The hotel enjoys a convenient location, great facilities, and delicious breakfast. A truly pleasant stay, highly recommended for business and leisure trips."

"My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a bigger room upon check in. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Rose and 阿真 for helping to book the taxi from hotel to ferry wharf using their DiDi app. I was facing issues with the app at that time. Though the hotel does provide complimentary transport to the ferry wharf but it is only 1 fixed schedule which is at 8am and is on a first come first serve basis. It was fully booked on the day we wanted to go to the wharf."

"We booked a sea-view family room, and the service was genuinely excellent. As soon as we got out of the car, someone helped us with our luggage and directed us to check-in. During check-in, they kept offering to upgrade us to a higher floor room with a better sea view, but because the upgraded room didn't have bunk beds, and my child really wanted to sleep on bunk beds, we didn't switch. After checking in, they also asked if it was convenient to add a butler. Adding the butler was incredibly helpful. Our room included breakfast for 2 adults and 2 children, but we were 3 adults and 1 child. Without a word, the butler immediately upgraded our breakfast to accommodate 3 adults and 1 child. She also gave great recommendations for travel questions and nearby restaurants and reminded us about breakfast times. It's a shame the weather wasn't good during our stay; it was cloudy the whole time, so we didn't get to see the sunset from the rooftop infinity pool. As for the water park, even though my child was over the 1.2m height requirement, there were still some rides he was a bit scared to try. However, the shows at both the water park and amusement park were very entertaining, and my child didn't want to leave. The staff member who helped us purchase additional tickets for these two parks was also very considerate, advising us on the most cost-effective way to do so. The service and environment are truly outstanding. If I visit Zhoushan again, this hotel will definitely be my first choice."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to a shopping mall. It's also very close to the ferry terminal, making it super convenient to get there by taxi. The front desk staff, especially the ladies, were incredibly warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was neat and clean, ensuring a very comfortable stay. Overall, it was a fantastic experience."

"The check-in speed at the front desk was very fast, the staff was gentle and caring, and took the initiative to inform the elevator, breakfast, parking location, and the details determined the quality. The newly opened hotel, all facilities are brand new, hot water is fast, the whole house is spotless, and there is no dust in the corners. The supporting facilities of the gym are small and fine, very good. , The sound insulation effect is also good, very quiet at night, and I had a good night's sleep. The location is convenient, next to the Zhujiajian Bridge, I have to go to Putuo Mountain~ I have to go to the pier in a few minutes. The price is super high, the overall is not thunder, the next trip will choose here."

"The location is fantastic, facing the sea with mountains behind. The views from any side are stunning. While Voco is a five-star hotel, it's more design-oriented and doesn't have a swimming pool. The cleanliness is impeccable, and the service is on point. There's a private parking lot with plenty of spaces, making parking convenient and free. There are a few EV charging spots, which is nice, and public charging stations are nearby. Breakfast is just average; it's enough to fill you up. The restaurant isn't very large, and the outdoor terrace is a bit too hot in this weather. There's a bathtub for soaking, but the shower facilities are poorly maintained – the showerhead is loose. Also, due to the floor-to-ceiling windows, the TV in the room is oddly placed on the side. The air conditioning runs very quietly, and the cooling performance is decent."

"I chose the right hotel for my trip to Zhoushan this time. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and check-in was a breeze. The hotel has a great atmosphere, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast spread is incredibly rich with a wide variety of options. The executive lounge, in particular, has a wonderful ambiance. They even offered a complimentary cocktail and coffee. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit."
