With a name like that, I was expecting some real "wow" experiences—and I definitely got them, just not the kind I hoped for. First, the lobby lift. You have to wait forever just to get to the 3rd floor because the lobby is shared with other hotels in the same building. On top of that, the lift is in poor condition—the lighting is so bad you can barely see the floor buttons. Then there's the room. The moment I stepped in, I could smell cigarette smoke. Turns out, it was coming from the aircon vents—not exactly a pleasant surprise. And finally, the shower cubicle. It’s ridiculously small, with no hanger or hook to hang your clothes or towel inside. Super inconvenient. All in all, it was definitely a "wow"—just not in the way you’d want.

We're family with kids. Stays 4 nights in family room (double 2 bed 35-50sq.m.) This is not a HOTEL. This is more like a ROOM RENTAL. You're fail to many of these security points. And I don't get any confirmation from you to admit the problem and ensure to solve this problem. Your management team are careless on SECURITY. 👎🏻Face scaner ...anyone can pass through. I see on my own eyes. No hotel staff there. 👎🏻Shared elevator .... anyone can go to any floor. 👎🏻Security man ...no uniform, not well trained 👎🏻Communication ....reception can not speak English at all. 👎🏻Problem solving....no one come to laundry room to check with me. I was on my own alone. You work so slow. I see you in front of my room, difficult and take time to explain what happened. Poor problem solving skill This place shared space with other restaurant and other hotel in other floors. So we shared elevator. Although, the hotel required the face scaner registration,actually anyone can pass through the gate, the most importantly, they can go to any floor. I see food deliveryman walking around. When I ask the staff, I was shocked with the reply. she said this is fine because you have room keycard. No one can get into your room. I was in laundry room where located inside the fitness room. While I was working with my cloth, that old man security guard turned off the light and slum the door without an eye seeing the laundry room is in used. I was so panic at that time. Because it was dark, alone, cannot see anyone or anything in the fitness room at all. This hotel hire this man with no trustworthy, no training, no uniform. How could I possibly trust this guy and this hotel. NOT EVER AGAIN. I'll be more careful on security check when the next time booking a hotel. Ensure the kids are at safer place.

The hotel is located at a good location. However, the room is quite dirty, especially the carpet. when I take off my shoes and stepped on the carpet, my feet was polluted by dirt and that made me feel uncomfortable. Towels have holes, showing how old they are.

2 night stay for 1 person. They upgraded me first night because room wasn't ready, but only later mention that 2nd night I'll need to pay the difference for the upgrade. Because I left the hotel during check-in for 30 mins waiting for the room to become available, the front desk staff changed while I was away and even though I explained the situation, I had to fully check-in a second time, giving my passport and scanning my face again. I can't come back in middle of day to change rooms, so I end up eating what was a 50% rate increase for the "upgrade". Room was clean, but walls were thin and all the rooms are on the 3rd floor, so due to traffic outside and constantly talking neighbors I had to turn on music to fall asleep each night. Both times I walked to the convenience store outside a random guy on the sidewalk asked if I was looking to party with some ladies, so that's the type of neighborhood this is in. I wasn't able to find out the wifi password until day 2 because it's not clearly written anywhere - turns out its the phone number on the back of the room key sleeve.

The place and location is good.  We were unlucky to meet early summer in March and the hotel does not provide air conditioning. The staff told us to open the window and yes, the next room also open the window and smoke cigarette that caused the smell came into our room.  With the sign “non-smoking”and condition set on reservation, doesn’t seem to strict with this rule. We call the receptionist after midnight asking to change room. It was so hot that we cannot sleep the staff promised to give us a fan next day -they left us nothing next day that we had to ask them to find one again!!! I would have changed hotel if knowing that they didn’t take this situation seriously. With the price we paid this is not appropriate. Staff is actually good with helping along with other issues but with what I experience here -there will not be my next time here. Photo is the fan they finally found without base.

Room felt comfortable and cozy. Bedding is soft and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful with my questions about my trip. YuXingJi is just opposite this hotel. Housekeeping is very efficient, I change the towel and bedsheets every day. They have high quality in-room slippers👍 Just little imperfections: bathroom doesn’t have any hooks for cloths & towels. Doesn’t provide laundry bags. Overall was close to perfection no kidding about it and I extended my stay one more day. Great value for hotel in Shanghai.

Front staff really helpful hotel nice decor location not far form MRT people ext.14 surrounding with local restuarant. even lobby share with restuarant but it not smell as other review which make me afraid at first. Room was nice and comfortable, clean thing that I like is Aircondition is locked can not adjust (it totally off event heater is off too) in winter but they provide fan really help flow air in room. Book with window is the must! No smell of cigarette.

The location is very prime and near lots of eateries. although the exterior has a bit of a rough vibe, the lobby also is a bus station so it not those fancy entry lobby. Hotel rooms are located on a old building 2nd / 3rd floors but is retrofitted. The interiors is ecletic but functional. Would be better if the closet area was wider so a suitcase can be placed. One of the supervisor lady is excellent, even helped me with my heavy suitcase when I was departing for airport to ensure I can get my ride properly.

This is the part you don't see on site. Cold, noisy hotel. Smell of food in rooms and a lot of noise from street. Would not recommend 😕

Since the hotel is a complex building, the guest room belongs to the second floor. The restaurant and luggage issues in your picture have been promptly reported to the building property for processing and resolution. The hotel rooms have double-layer soundproof glass. If you feel noisy, you can close the glass. Many guests have reported that the sound insulation effect is good, and the warm and comfortable mattress in the guest room has improved the quality of sleep. The problem you mentioned about the stains on the duvet has also been promptly reported to the housekeeping department for processing. Clean hotel, spacious and comfortable room, and very good service staff. Even though they don't speak English very well, they try to help as much as they can. And the hotel is near important places, in the middle of the city, convenient, near various tourist attractions. Next time I will definitely stay here again ❤️👍
