Radisson RED Shanghai Wujiaochang Hotel

Clean hotel with a convenient location near metro and university. We were able to choose several breakfast options even as a vegans. Overall great experience!

I think the only reason that most people book this hotel is that it's super close to Tongji University. Other part of it is decent. It was recently renovated but still cannot compete with real hotel brands. The color scheme and decor - bright red and contrasty black - is probably more youthful than those academic travelers going to Tongji for conferences and lectures. But it serves the purpose and is a decent place.

I traveled to Tongji for a conference and had a great stay at the hotel due to their 5- star service — the counter staff upgraded my room and proactively helped resolved the issues I raised. Many thanks especially to Xiao Deng who is very helpful and professional. The room is clean and large , and it has excellent views. The hotel is located in walking distance from the Tongji University Metro Station. Cleaning ladies are friendly too. Overall it’s an amazing experience. Highly recommended for anyone who visits Tongji.

Modern and clean rooms with great service and very close to the university and its subway station

We stayed here twice! The first time was a quick one night before our trip to other areas. The reception was very nice and set us up right away for early check in. We were offered some snacks including mixed nuts and fruit. When we left, the hotel stored our luggage for about a week until we came back. The front desk speaks English well, so if you're not comfortable with mandarin, you are in good hands. The rooms are modern and clean, the space was sufficient for us to open three luggages to pack and unpack. The beds were comfy and relaxing. We also appreciated the Dyson hairdryer!! The cleaning was done daily and swiftly, there are no weird odours at all. When ordering take out, the little robot will go up to your room, it's very convenient if you've had a long day! We did not have a chance to use the fitness centre but there is a good amount of machines and weights to do a quick workout. The laundry and dryers are not free but work well, we had no issues when doing our laundry. Overall, I would stay again (and already have) if I'm in the wujiaochang area. It's close by to the subway and to busses and there is plenty of food within a quick 5 minute walk in the area.

Excellent hotel close to Tongji University. Professional services from front desk to janitor. Highly recommend
