Excellent 5-star luxury hotel with great room facilities and features needed. Great top notch location. Good view from room.

Went to the langham to celebrate my wife’s birthday at the executive lounge and it was amazing! They decorated the room and it caught my wife with a surprise. A big shoutout to all the staff, especially Shirley and James for making our time wonderful.

Last year my brother stayed at the Langham and had a great experience. He then brought my entire family of eight guests to stay this year for five nights in Shanghai. To say we were disappointed and embarassed by the experience would be an understatement. The check in process was appallingly bad particularly when my brother was placed in a room that was falling apart. My irritation only increased when he received “an upgrade” only to be downgraded to a smaller room than what was originally booked. The solution to these problems were fruit plates which doesn’t even come close to fixing the issues of a hotel that is in desperate need of renovation, both physically and within the entire management team. My family trip this year started in Beijing at the China World Summit and then at the West Lake Liuyingli in Hangzhou. There is no comparison from their hotels as far as costumer service and guest experience. Because of our multi night at those hotels, they gave us quality rooms with amazing care. The Langham pales in comparison to those hotel and I cannot believe the entire family trip has to end at this hotel.

I had a wonderful one-night stay at The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi in May. From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless and up to the high standards you’d expect from a Langham property. The location is excellent—right in the heart of the Xintiandi district, with great access to shopping, dining, and cultural spots. A special highlight of my stay was the complimentary birthday arrangement thoughtfully prepared by the Guest Relations team for my twin daughters. It was a lovely surprise and truly added a personal touch to the experience. Their attention to detail and warm service made the celebration extra memorable. Highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers looking for luxury, comfort, and attentive service in Shanghai

Storage for clothing is not enough. Need more hanging hooks in bathroom. Air conditioning is good.

The room had a great view and the staff prepared a small cake, balloon and greeting card for my birthday ( I told them while confirming my reservation). The food was top tier and affordable. My 3rd time staying here and definitely will again.

This hotel is very convenient because at front is the xintianti road with many restaurants. Moreover the facility is so fancy and clean. Disneyland was 30-40min with the cab. Jingan and other famous sites of Shanghai is also 20min with cab. I would visit again !!!

Location is everything, Langham has always been tip top in soft and hard ware. Staffs are well trained and professional, always helpful. Hotel amenities are just great, nothing more to be improved.

All in all is okay, but crowd management must be better arranged. We had to wait here and there. A/C in the room is extremely loud, so we had to turn it on and off constantly. Decorations are falling apart in many spots around hotel, so that you feel the place as cheap and a bit dirty. Next time won’t choose this chain
