I stayed here for only one night. I can tell that the location is fantastic just in the pagodas and the night market street. The room was huge and very clean. The shower, was the best I have had in China so far. Air conditioning working very well. People in the hotel do not speak much English but they do an effort to try to understand

Cheap and so run down and not clean in common areas but the room was reasonable and the view onto the old shikumen was worth every penny.

The hotel’s location is strategic, close to the bus stop, but the building really needs renovation because it’s very old and there are some cracks on the walls. The window also doesn’t close completely, so wind and cold air from outside come into the room

This hotel is centrally located to most of the attractions. The room is very basic and compact. If you like the convenience, this is the one. If you like luxury and comfort, perhaps this is not for you.

Great room and a fantastic location, making it easy to get anywhere. The front desk staff, both the guys and the girls, were very friendly and helpful, accommodating my room requests. Oh, and the shops right next to this hotel have amazing food – I especially loved a stir-fried noodle dish and a rice noodle soup!

I chose the Suse Select Hotel after seeing the interior wall colors and family-friendly style in the pictures. The hotel used to be a Home Inn, and I was a member there before. The location is excellent, just a few hundred meters from the Bund, People's Square, and Nanjing East Road Metro Station Exit 4. Nearby bus stops are also conveniently close, especially the Route 14 bus stop, which is only about 100 meters away. Dining options are plentiful; the famous Da Hu Chun is 200 meters from the hotel, and there's a good variety of breakfast choices. A Japanese restaurant is right next door, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, though some equipment is a bit dated. I hope guests won't discover issues like a non-working exhaust fan, a light fixture that's out, or a sagging mattress edge only after checking in. Housekeeping staff should promptly identify these problems and report them to the responsible manager for timely resolution, ensuring guests have a comfortable and worry-free stay. It's best to avoid these issues causing inconvenience and wasting guests' time.

Hallways are old with smoking smell (because of local guests), but rooms are clean with clean beddings, mattress is comfortable to sleep.

The room was very nice inside, clean and comfortable. However, the hallway didn’t look very clean and had an unpleasant smell. Apart from that, everything else was good

This hotel is the worst place I have ever stayed at. I understand that it is a budget option, especially with holiday prices, but here there is simply no respect for guests. Okay, you can't do renovations, but at least maintain cleanliness? The curtain is stained with something I don't even want to guess, everything is dirty, moldy, and there are broken windows. Noise from the bathroom goes on all night, making it impossible to sleep.

Facilities: The facilities are fully equipped. Hygiene: Clean and tidy, with fresh linens for every guest. Environment: Aside from the hotel being a bit old, everything else is impeccable. Service: The service was perfect, whether it was the front desk or the cleaning staff, they were all very attentive. Summary: The hotel's location is excellent, and the price is reasonable for this area. I don't regret staying here and will definitely come again next time. Satisfied!!! 😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Good location good hotel for stay location is very near helpful staff

Thanks to the receptionist lady that attended to us during check-in. She even upgraded our hotel room for free. The short vacay trip is even more comfy with your hospitality. The hotel is located within walking distance to various halal eateries! For Muslim travellers looking for a budget stay, I highly recommend this place!

First Hotel stay in Shanghai amongst our 5 hotels for this trip. We chose this hotel is simply was our first and since everything were nearby and for conveniencd. This is a very basic hotel so do not expect service or products here. Because everything here were near, walking distance to shopping & food and The Bund etc... were all walkable. This hotel is stayable for short stay. The lobby is not welcoming (rather run-out), the staffs (looked like interns or part time staffs) and inexperienced. The room we had, the paint were peeling from roof. To sleep, shower, space and comfort will be good enough for the price.

The first room we were given was on the 6th floor, it was very run down and the the bed was rock hard. (We can normally sleep anywhere but this was extremely bad). We stayed for 2 nights before asking to move rooms. We upgraded for the remaining 3 nights for 50yuan per night and were moved to the 7th floor. The bed was much more comfortable. The location was superb and the staff were friendly and helpful, it’s just a shame we were charged more to upgrade the room because the bed wasn’t comfortable. This should be provided to every room. Wouldn’t stay again for this reason
