I had serious concerns about security during my stay at this hotel. There was no safe box in the Business Sky room that I had booked, and housekeeping repeatedly left the emergency exit door by the elevators open throughout the day allowing unrestricted access to the guest floors via the back stairwell. Most seriously, on my last day my room door was left ajar and unlocked for the entire day while I was away. Moreover, the room was smaller than advertised and the reception I received upon arrival was unwelcoming. I arrived a few hours early from London and was treated rudely by the front desk because my room was not yet ready. It seemed I was then allocated an inferior room as a result which I feel was an unprofessional and regrettable experience. The eventually offered a 10% discount because of the open door incident but only after I involved a local rep who discussed the matter with the hotel and Ctrip customer service who were great!

The room was clean, except for some details like under the bed, where it was full of dust. The closet is small for two people to share and the space available for storing clothes/luggage is in general tiny. Location of the hotel is nice, as it lies in a quite walkable area, and by foot you can reach the Huaihai Road (good for shopping) in 35m. Metro line 9 is a 15m walk. The service was okay. The staff at the reception did not speak English and they offered no help or guidance about the city: quite essential service. Their attitude was in general detached and seemed quite un-open to communicating. Also, after leaving the room and realizing there were still some clothes left inside, I tried to report it to the reception and they just sent me to the room to check without even communicating to the cleaning service. It ended up that my clothes were not in the room anymore and the staff offered no further help, so I left without these clothes. Also, i had explicitly booked a room with “City View” and I was placed in room 1402 with one very dirty window - out of 2 windows available to enjoy the view. After asking to clean it, they made an unsuccessful attempt and then just left me with the dirty window without any kind of compensation. I was only offered to switch to another room in a lower floor and with no city view, which made no sense considering I had paid more specifically to have a room with “City View”. Breakfast is decent and offers a good variety of food. The staff is understanding if a host is taking few minutes past closing time to finish the food. The staff at the breakfast floor is also very nice and friendly. The main perk of the hotel for me was the cafè at the hall, where a very friendly girl employee works. She was very nice and gave me and my girlfriend some unique advice on places to visit in the city. She was of course also making extremely good flat white and coffee. Balancing everything out though, if was to come back to Shanghai, I would probably choose a different hotel.

Nice views of Xujiahui park, great location at the end of the French concession. Building and furniture feels a bit old, but great for the price. Great service as well

Facilities and service was great. Laundry was free, dryer is a little slow and weak. Wifi speed is not fantastic - at peak hours it would be difficult to load things like the maps app. Noise proofing near the doors is a little weak. Clean, good view, nice bathroom.

Everything was great. The one downside of 30 smth-storeyd hotels in Shanghai is the elevator functionning randomly 😅 So expect crowds in the lobby around the elevator, and spending about 5 minutes inside. But it didn't take much away from my overall experience. Great hotel.

The Lestie was a decent stay for my overnight trip. The hotel has older room furnishings that have been nicely painted to make it bright. The bathroom was dated but not terrible. The breakfast was just okay, mostly Chinese choices.

Very good location. Convenient and good F&B options around. The traffic and noise from outside can disturb your peace at times.

Best location. Wonderful staff and excellent facilities. We always come back to this hotel. Plenty of restaurants and shopping near.

Great location in Shanghai, and gorgeous entrance! Doorman was super friendly and always opened the door for us. We booked a small room so it was tight for 2 people, however it was always cleaned well every day. The breakfast was also cold so we didn’t book anymore breakfast after 1 night and ate out in local restaurants.

I recently stayed at Lestie Hotel and had a wonderful experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. I would highly recommend Lestie to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Was okay, nothing special. I did appreciate they served noddles until 12am as I got in quite late from my flight. Also, the reception was polite and patient with my requests on getting my delivery packages. The place was clean and livable, but nothing luxurous or fancy. It is fine if you just need a place to stay at Shanghai city center but don't have huge expectations.

Service: 10/10. My mum and I were greeted at reception with warm tea and snacks. Honey (张小姐) added us on Wechat (Chinese social media) and provided us with food times and amenities for our stay. Location: 10/10 Amazing location. It's around 15 minutes walk from WuKang building which is the start of the famous Shanghai Citywalk. The hotel is 9 minutes walk from the closest metro (HengShanLu). Hotel: Perfect 👌🏼 We were given floor level 21 and had SPECTACULAR views. Absolutely superb. 💯 Food: Buffet breakfast. Afternoon OR evening tea included. Plus 1 bowl of noodle at night. What more can you ask for?! 10/10. Overall, I will recommend friends and family to stay. If you are deciding, stop & book right now!
