This is actually my third time staying at the Royal Garden in Shanghai, and every time I’m blown away by how beautiful it is. The architecture has a classic Chinese style, the rooms are cozy and elegant, and the whole property is full of picture-perfect spots, it’s honestly breathtaking from the moment you arrive 📸 The breakfast is good, and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. Just a heads-up: the hotel is a bit far from the city center, so be sure to plan ahead if you’re heading to major tourist spots. Luckily, there’s a train station only 5 minutes away by foot, which makes getting around much easier. If I had to point out one downside, it’s the customer service. Every time I’ve stayed, the front desk staff felt a bit distant, not rude, but not very warm either. That said, the overall experience more than makes up for it. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a quiet, scenic stay in Shanghai with a touch of elegance and traditional charm. 🌸

Absolutely beautiful hotel, the staff was amazing and so accommodating. There’s a shuttle bus that took us to Disneyland and brought us back to the hotel. We had to leave early for Disney so they packed our breakfast for us.

The location is perfect for foreign travelers—it is near the airport, an outlet, and a few old Shanghai streets. The venue is fantastic. Old Suzhou-style architecture blends perfectly in that picturesque park. We had a good breakfast with all kinds of choices—Western and Asian. If I may, my only complaint would be about bacon. It was not good at all. However, it was easy to substitute something else. Also, the price for coffee was honestly too much. ¥45 for a cup of to say the least average drink is robbing. If you want to enjoy a swimming pool, bring a hat. I am not a fan of wearing a swimming hat, but my kid had a blast. All in all, it was a good stay.

The location as its away the town, the rest is great. Very near to Disney, great choice if your plan is to go Disney. Food choice is rather limited. Breakfast buffet is rather similar everyday.

Stunning buildings and gardens. Great value, breakfast, plenty of variety. Close to metro. Great location for disneyland, the bund and sightseeing and the airport. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had an electrical fault with our room lights on our second night, and they switched our room straight away to avoid us being inconvenienced. Not a lot of English, but alipay Translate was very handy. Free mini bar was only small and is not replenished daily 2 cokes, 2 juices, and a few chocs. But it was a nice little treat. Welcome fruit included Apple, mangerine , pear and some tomatoes. It was strange to us that it included several small tomatoes.
