Zsmart Zhishang Hotel (Shanghai University Subway Station)

It is nicely located near the metro stop at Shanghai University. The front desk lady was kind, even though she couldn't speak English. The room was ok, but quite old with some mold near the air conditioner, but the worst thing is that the room is a NON-SMOKER room, but the smell of tobacco was huge, not only in my room but the whole floor. I paid for a room with a window, but the window was facing the hall outside the room, so no clean air could come from it, no daylight, and of course no privacy. I had to keep the curtains closed. Also, you can hear everything from other rooms, so I couldn't sleep properly as some guests will come from 1 to 4 am, making so much noise.

if you are on a budget , it is ok. Right next to the metro and with many stores nearby that stay open till late. The staff is helpful too.

This hotel is so nice and clean, close with the university, the environment is great and room is perfect. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
