The underfloor heating was very cozy, and the hotel is right in the old town, so there's food available as soon as you step out – super convenient! Good value for money too. Plus, it has a small courtyard, which I imagine would be even lovelier in spring and summer.

Decent one night stay at Fanxi. Well located, in the center of Shangri-La old town, on a side street away from the noise, Fanxi hotel is quiet, clean. The spaces were big enough for the basic queen room, the bathroom was not great, with the toilet seat in the shower. The mattress was very hard. They had in room heating and also bed heating which was good.

very close to the city place so its worth to book due to location. but the view is blocked by new establishments coming up, so not much to see outside of the window already..

My friends and I stayed at this B&B in Shangri-La for three nights. The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming. The room was exactly as pictured, very spacious, and spotlessly clean. They even helped us with our luggage for free and provided pick-up/drop-off service. The location is fantastic, right inside the ancient town, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The bed in the room also came with an electric blanket. It's a real shame I didn't take any photos of the room!
