Beautifully situated on the water front in the middle of Old Town, just next to the Royal Castle. The building was originally built in the 1690*s as Old Town grew down the hill towards the water. Hotel Reisen is one of Stockholm*s oldest and most prestigious hotels opened as Hotel Reisen in 1819 in the building that had former hosted a coffee house by Friedrich Reiss. The hotel originally consists of three buildings which in the old days were used as private residents, warehouse, coffee house and a guest house for all travelers that and went with the ships and more or less shady people. Being situated on the dock of Old Town where all the ships used to dock, this hotel has its fair share of stories. The obvious marks of history are clearly visible through the hotel, from the 350 year old foot print in the brick cladded relax at lower lobby level to the board room dressed with the interior of the 120 year old steamship S/S Per Brahe. Hotell Reisen has now been thoroughly renovated to a classic yet modern style, to once again shine as in glory days, the hotel has been fully open from January 2021. With 12 room types, each and every room with their own unique corners of history, everyone is free to explore and find their own favourite. From a handcrafted brick wall from 1690 to the scenic views over Stockholms water. The restaurant and bar is located at the front of the house with beautiful views of Stockholm water. In the heart of the hotel you will find the cocktail bar situated in the original brick cladded room from the 17th century, before used as a warehouse for the ships trading at the dock. In all the rooms facing the water you will wake up with the beautiful views of Stockholm waters and the sunrise in your eyes.

The hotel has a great location and nice rooms. It is small but well-equipped. The details are very nice. The hygiene is poor and the service is not satisfactory. When we checked in, we found a bunch of hair on the shower wall that was not cleaned. We contacted the front desk to explain the reason. The front desk replied that they would deal with it immediately. After waiting for 10 minutes, no one came. We asked the front desk and they said they were on the way. This journey was very long. It took more than half an hour for us to leave the room. We showed the photos to the front desk. The surprised expression was very appropriate. They said they had been there. When we returned to the hotel, the hair was still hanging on the tiles and there were traces of cleaning on the sink. I am too lazy to say anything more. I dealt with it myself.

The location is excellent, shopping and sightseeing are within walking distance; the room design has many details, the bedside table has exquisite hydroponic flowers, the bath is diptyque, and the breakfast is even more exquisite. The overall design is very Western-style, but not old-fashioned at all.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is near all metro, tram station and walk distant to shopping district also. Train station have supermarket too.hotel is clean and room is big.
JJim ChngThis hotel exceeded expectations with its friendly staff, clean rooms, and modern amenities. The central location made exploring the city easy, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. The room was comfortable and quiet, providing a great night’s sleep. Overall, a fantastic choice for both business and leisure travelers.
OOngBerniceHip hotel in a great location. Service from most of the staff was truly superb, with Laban topping the list. A few exceptions, though. One lady at reception was not very nice - she didn’t even bat an eye before refusing us late checkout. Fortunately I asked another member of the team and was able to secure it with a minimal fee. The cleaning lady was also a bit grumpy when we asked her to wait 5 minutes before we stepped out of our room for her to clean. We exited in less than 3, but she still seemed very unhappy. Room was very nice, but the best part of this hotel is The Nest. Don’t miss it.
GGuest UserThe location is superb!! So close to Arlanda Express, about 2min walk after we alighted from the train (refer to photo)
Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room is clean amd breakfast is awesome (there are many choices of food).
Thanks for keeping my daughter and I warm and safe for the past 2 nights.
AAsnafi NaderExcellent location: 2-3 minutes walking distance to the central railway station, the city center and many shops, department stores, restaurants, bars, theatres… long inchecking time (a long check-in que), the breakfast buffe can be improved… A nice hotel which we recommend.
MMichael HEThe hotel has a good location, backed by the park and the Royal Library, and if you like to walk, it is not far from the old town. Forgot to bring the socket converter to borrow at the front desk. Check-out is delayed until 1 pm and luggage can be sent temporarily. Breakfast should be good for friends who are used to western food. Unexpectedly, there is a Chinese bank downstairs.
GGuest UserGot some caring thoughts to the service, very impressed (see pic). There’s a lift to the hotel that takes 1 min - from platform 1 end of platform, straight up to the hotel. Otherwise u have to walk via bus terminal for 15 min out in the streets. Hotel should put that instruction in - very useful. Highly recommend if u have a short trip here. I have a room w no window- big enough to open my luggage and lots of space still - maybe diff room configuration than others reviews above. No window = not noisy too.
GGuest UserVery clean, the room is tidy, the bath water is flush, the breakfast is delicious, the transportation is convenient, 10 minutes walk from the city center
GGuest UserSuper sweet hotel with cozy rooms and very nice staff! Me and my work buddy stayed for one night only but I would stan there longer - easy!
Awesome breakfast and the chef made the moring more manageble with his nice persona. Thank you!
Nice bed, nice room. Nice everything!
I will be back!
WWaiLocated on the island in the older district of Stockholm. Near to the commuter train station that took me to Uppsala. Has lots of food outlets nearby. Did not spend time at the shops. Otherwise clean and nice hotel on the Main Street.
