Great place if you need a night's stay or two otw to Khaolak. Rooms were generally clean but without amenities like toothbrush etc so remember to bring your own. Fridge works well, lights need to be fixed, and the kettle in my room would need to be replaced - WiFi works well, would stay again!

My family and I just stayed at the JW Marriott in Khao Lak and had a fantastic experience! The rooms were spacious, with big, comfy beds and natural product toiletries. Every morning, the breakfast spread was delicious and varied, featuring freshly squeezed juices and authentic Thai coffee made with high-quality ingredients. The kid's area offered daily activities, and bike rentals were easy; I highly recommend biking around the beautiful gardens. The service was friendly, efficient, and attentive. The pool area was impressive—it's the biggest pool I've seen at any property! Plus, direct beach access was a wonderful bonus. If I return to Khao Lak, I would definitely stay here again with my family!

Hotel was lovely and rooms good size with great amenities. The beach very quiet and nice location for a quiet holiday. The service was ridiculously slow. We were charged service charge for any drinks ordered and told to wait to collect them rather than be delivered to us. Not sure how you can charge service charge for no service. The reception staff were not helpful when I wanted to use my Accor loyalty card and they said that points could not be added for the stay only the drinks as booked through Trip.com. The. When leaving we were not able to add the points for drink and food purchased. We had to wait 20-30 minutes for each drink and any food ordered at the beach bar. It was a joke

1) I booked a sea view room, but was given a room on the fourth floor. It's hard to understand how this room can be called a sea view room. The lower part of the balcony is solid, and the upper part is soil and grass (actually the lobby roof). Can you imagine that when you sit, you can only see a wall. How depressing it is. When you stand, you can barely see the sea through the grass. I'm not talking about discrimination, just talking about the facts. The next day, I moved to the sixth floor, which was a completely different experience. Unfortunately, I saw an update written on the paper? ? I would like to ask, in addition to the floor, are there any differences between the upper and lower room types? . When I booked the room, I checked both Ctrip and Marriott apps just to see the sea. The next level of sea view room is pool, and there is no higher-level sea view than the current sea view. 2) The breakfast replenishment is not fast enough. I wanted to drink milk but it didn't come after 10 minutes. The fish balls in the rice noodles were sour. Coffee and tea were served by themselves. There were no paper towels on the table (I really don't understand this). Maybe it's environmentally friendly, but you say environmentally friendly, but plastic bags are used casually. 3) The bath water is hot and cold, and it is basically not constant temperature. 4) During the stay, a credit card was suddenly suspended. Fortunately, I locked the cardless transaction when I went abroad. I checked for a long time but couldn't tell what the problem was. The amount was not small. I didn't suspect it was stolen, but it was really a lot of trouble to check and refund it if I really swiped it wrong. 5) The hotel did not do a good job of mosquito prevention in places with lawns. One was at the entrance of the lido and the other was the lawn for watching open-air movies. There were mosquitoes everywhere. There were very, very, very many. This is almost never encountered in a five-star island hotel. But I have to say that the scenery is quite good and very good. It can make up for a lot. It is still a happy journey

We stayed at the resort for two nights with the all inclusive package and had a blast. Everything about our stay was truly enjoyable. The check in was smooth and the staff really polite and service minded, We booked the standard room but the hotel was kind enough to upgrade us to a larger deluxe room as we had requested to be as close to the sea as possible. We were so happy with the upgrade. The room was spacious, clean, modern and had a large bathroom with a huge bathtub. The view was really nice and you could hear the waves from the beach in the morning and evenings. Perfect for me, my partner and our 2-year old. If we would return, we would book the deluxe room for sure. The breakfast had everything you could wish for and more. On top of that, the surrounding in the breakfast restaurant felt calm and relaxing so we could really enjoy our breakfast. We liked the gym. It was small but very nice and clean with everything you need. It was open 24/7 which we appreciate. The all inclusive package was worth every penny. The food was delicious and we especially loved the little coffee shop by the reception area. The staff there were really polite and sweet. During sunset we sat by the beachbar and enjoyed the stunning scenery with a glass of ice cold sparkling wine. We saw a few restaurants and massage houses close to the resort but never made a visit since we had the all inc. package.

Our first time to Avani+. We were surprised by the location and amenities of the hotel. The location is by the main road. It is convenient for guests to cross the road to the supermarket to get snacks or drinks. Amenities wise are excellent for kids and adults. There are plenty of activities for guests to do, such as rock climbing, arcade, basketball, and skateboard . However, I just feel the pools available are too small. It is low season in khao lak and I already feel it is too crowded. Cleanliness in the room could be improved. The housekeeping only sweeps the floor and does not use a vacuum. After cleaning our rooms, I saw hair in the toilet. Overall, I would recommend Avani+ to family traveling with children.

The hotel is generally very good. Large, luxurious, well-kept territory with its own pond, a sea of ​​greenery. Near each residential building there is a swimming pool and a large common pool. There are only 2 children's paddling pools, very small, 60 cm deep. There is a small children's playroom. The toys there are in good condition, not broken. Breakfast is a chic buffet with a large selection of dishes! A large variety of fruits. The children's area always included 4 different dishes, there was always rice porridge, the second porridge was different every day, but not always cooked well. A good tea and coffee area, but there was always a queue for coffee. There were no freshly squeezed juices, but there were 3 types of different juices like yuppie. The hotel has its own beach with sun loungers, the staff were always ready to help find and bring a sun lounger wherever you want, if there were not enough sun loungers, you could borrow a mat from the staff at the bar. For children, there was a box with sand molds. The beach itself is sandy with a large number of corals and shells of different sizes. There are especially many of them when entering the sea, and since the water itself is not transparent, you can’t see all this stuff, it’s not comfortable to go in without coral slippers. The beach is not convenient for staying with small children, the shore is already quite deep, especially during high tide, but bearable during low tide. If you’re unlucky with the weather and there are big waves, swimming will be impossible, it’s dangerous, the waves knock you off your feet, plus you can get abrasions on the corals. We were there in early December, it seemed like the height of the season, but the waves were terrible for 7 days out of 12. Near the hotel in the beach area on the left side outside the territory there is a tuktuk taxi every day, 2 pickups with fruits and coconuts, a pickup cafe where you can order freshly prepared popular Thai dishes at very nice prices, they leave in the evening. A little further on the same side there are several cafes where you can have dinner with a view of the sea. The hotel has several restaurants, but the prices there are much higher than average. There are also cafes and shops outside the area from the entrance, those close to the hotels with higher prices, those a little further with more reasonable prices. We found the cafe ”Martini” on the recommendation of tourists. It is delicious, good prices, many compliments in the form of fruits: before meals, after meals, and when you leave. In general, all the necessary infrastructure is within walking distance, except for pharmacies. The hotel has a free shuttle to the center of Khao Lak and the night market, you need to sign up for the transfer at the reception well in advance of the trip. It happens that someone who signed up does not show up, and then you can leave on the same day. Departs at 15.30, goes back to the hotel at 18.30. The hotel also has a lot of entertainment, bowling, billiards, table tennis, tennis, badminton, archery, karaoke (but no Russian repertoire, which is surprising, given that there are always quite a lot of Russian guests), there is a good gym with a view of the garden, a crossfit room, a yoga room with mirrors. On the beach in good weather you can play volleyball every evening, in the morning on the beach near the bar from 10.00 they do exercises. Most of these entertainments are paid. Bowling 150 baht per person for 1 game, plus, if you do not have socks, you will have to buy them for 30 baht 1 pair. On Mondays at 15.00 for children by appointment there is free bowling 1 game. If you need a late check-out from the hotel, you need to book it at least a day before check-in, it will not be possible to do it on the day of check-in. If you have a late flight and you have not booked a late check-out, you can leave your things at the reception, spend the day on the beach or on the hotel grounds, you are allowed to use the shower in the entertainment complex, where the gym is, there is everything you need, towels, shower, everything for a shower, a comfortable toilet. Upon check-in, they took a deposit of 500 bucks, which was an unpleasant surprise. The UP card from RSHB worked in the hotel. There were mosquitoes, they bit, especially after sunset. Disappointed by this large and impersonal hotel. The room allocated to us was dark and overlooked a wall with a huge antenna nearby. It took 10 minutes of discussion to get a room with a better view. The staff did not take into account the comments and wishes . In addition, lunch at the restaurant was mediocre (pasty shrimp) and expensive for what we had. The cocktails were average. Only the breakfast deserves a good mention. I will not recommend this hotel despite flattering articles and the price of which is excessive compared to what one has the right to expect.

Doesn't provide toothbrush/toothpaste until you request, they also don't give you sufficient as I stayed there 3night, asked to buy my own toothpaste. But location is good if you want to be by the beach else it's kinda far from everywhere, best to have your own transport if you plan to go out, altho there is PAID shuttle service to ban hiang. But this place knows how to squeeze you it's pretty in nowhere. They have a convenience shop at hotel front which is pricey. Cleanliness is ok, but considering old hotel, you get some dirty corners. And bed was tad hard, tv limited channels.

First warm welcome upon we arrived. The bambu bar was cool, too.The facilities we didn't use much. We just spent time in the pool because we booked the pool access room types. So overall, it is a pretty good bit lot of mosquitoes 🦟 when we get into the room that we were booked for, and everything was perfect. Just the mosquito is so annoyed during we at the pool or outside around. Well, there's nothing much to say because of surrounded. Check-in was great. We have juice for welcome drink Check out a bit slowly, but I do understand them as front desk duty say apologies to me. (I'm ok) 🫰At least the housekeeper should be sprayed or asmatch prepare in the room. Would be a better deal during rain season. Room service pretty quickly 😍 Definitely I will go back to stay there again deffo!
