A very satisfying living experience! First, it is very close to the UMich campus, only 15 minutes walk, and free parking is available; second, the hotel is very unique, with a history of more than 100 years, each room has a different theme, beautifully decorated, warmly furnished, and the experience is very different from those business hotels; third, the price is not expensive, classic gourmet breakfast, and a self-service kitchen is provided; fourth, the hotel owner is a Chinese compatriot, the service is thoughtful and the hospitality is warm; fifth, the surrounding area is in a wealthy area, with beautiful scenery, safe and quiet. I will patronize it next time I go, it is highly recommended!

GGuest UserWe have stayed at other hotels when visiting our student and this is one of the best. Great location, great rooms. We were only there for a night but it did not disappoint. We walked to amazing restaurants and shopping. The curtains are actually blackout and the bed is so comfortable you will want to know what mattress it is. When you walk up the view over Ann Arbor is great.
FFarAway33069492585Visiting a dear friend in Ann Arbor, we chose this hotel on its proximity to his flat and it turned out to be a great choice. As it is new, it is very, very clean , and we enjoyed the minimalist decor. Homewood Suites offer a great product. Staff here were well trained, amiable and helpful. Breakfast was hot and delicious. When we return to Ann Arbor, this will be our choice. Very nice stay.
It was OK, but that's as far as I can go. Overall, what the place lacked was the warmth, cleanliness and welcome that one would expect. Our room was decent. It has a ”cooler” but no microwave. The bathroom sink is located outside of the tub/toilet area, which was nice. Adequate counter space. But the beds and pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. We did not get housekeeping services one day, and were left with dirty towels on the floor with no replacements, which we then asked for at the front desk. The fitness room was not cleaned as dirty towels were strewn about the floor and equipment. The complimentary coffee in lobby consisted of one caff and one decaf carafe, with 2 large pumps of Coffee Mate. (yuk!) The lobby cafe and bar was very overpriced ($26 for 3 medium coffees and $50 for 2 drinks!). We entertained some family in the lounge area, and had asked for the fireplace to be turned on to take the chill off the room and add some ambiance. We were told that the fireplace hasn't worked for 3 years! The lounge area had dirty cups and napkins and crumbs on the furniture and tables, which we cleaned up before we could sit down.
Don’t let the pictures online fool you! My stay here did not live up to expectations or my past stays at other Staybridge hotels (or other IHG hotels in other cities around the world, for that matter). However, my stay was not all negative, so let me focus on the positives first. Let me note that while I stayed here for one night while in the process of moving to a new city, I did not have the breakfast here, nor did I use the hotel’s amenities, so this review will skip those parts of the stay. The hotel’s location is very convenient, located just off I-94 which provides easy access to DTW as needed. It is also located to a lot of nearby restaurants and stores, although a bit of a drive from the University of Michigan if you are here for the university. The lobby provides a cheery, refreshing welcome upon entering, and the front desk staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms are also pretty spacious, no surprise given this is a hotel composed of suites. The bed is also very comfortable and I received a good night sleep. But that’s pretty much where it all ends positivity wise… Despite the room being spacious, it seems as if housekeeping does not do their job as the room was very dirty upon entering. There were also stains on the walls and there were even blood stains in certain areas of the washroom. Absolutely disgusting, and especially unacceptable especially during pandemic times! The shower was also below average and water pressure was quite weak. If I had to describe what the shower experience was like at this hotel, it was almost as if the water was trickling. Seriously. It seems as if there are a numerous amount of hotels in close proximity to this one. I would most certainly look at those other options, because other people are pointing out the same flaws as me online. 2 stars seems just right for me given that there were some positives about my stay here.
GGuest UserWe had such negative, disappointing experience at this hotel, from our check-in to check-out. As we had power outage, we decided to stay at this hotel. On Internet it said $155 for the room with two queen size beds. My husband called and made a reservation. Upon arrival we were told that there’s no room so we had to wait for a while. The front desk staff called my husband loud (she said “Smith!!”, not “Mr. Smith”) and we were offered a room with only a dim desk light working. The lights in the bathroom and bedsides didn’t work. Later, they explained that the electric company put a limit on their electricity use. We were told to use “the flashlight on your phone” to take shower. The room was cold no matter we set the temperature higher and not so clean (tired). At check out, nobody was present at the front desk. I waited for 10 minutes and a staff came out reluctantly. She charged us $240. I asked her why and she said “because we didn’t have full electricity”. We are very disappointed because this hotel basically took advantage of those of us who needed a warm, lit place to stay during a power outage by charging $100 more that their usual price. The quality of the service and their hygiene standard were disappointing. My husband called Hilton customer service afterwards, but they were not nice nor understanding at all, transferred the call multiple times over 30-40 minutes. We have been a Hilton honors member but we will switch to Marriot. One last note: when we were waiting to check in, a homeless person with lots of paper bags came in casually, grabbed a paper cup in the breakfast room across the front desk, attempted to get some coffee from the dispenser. He put his cup back when he realized that there’s no coffee left. There were two staff at the front desk and one cleaning staff close to him but they really didn’t care, it appeared that this person was a frequent visitor.
GGuest UserI stayed at the recently “renovated” hotel for a Michigan football game. The convenience of location was the draw. The reviews had me hesitant. The hotel clearly had been renovated somewhat; however, the rooms are still somewhat dated when it comes to furnishings and carpet. There is a very strong smell of chlorine throughout the hotel. The price was a few times what the room should typically cost and definitely not worth it ! I would expect to pay 489.00 per night for a 5 star, not a holiday inn express. The most disappointing was the double charge still appearing on my credit card. I was charged the day prior to my stay (the last day I could cancel the room) and then again at check in. I made 3 calls to the hotel before contacting my card company who is currently looking into the disputed charges. Had this been a bank card, this could have caused major issues. I have read reviews of this happening to other guests and would have figured the hotel would have figured out the root cause by now !
邵邵I made a temporary reservation and arrived at 11:30 in the middle of the night. There is only a twin room on the first floor. When I walked into the room, the smell was very heavy and it felt very damp and airless.
This hotel is very large and newly renovated, the free breakfast is very rich, and the service is very good, someone will greet you with coffee or tea. There are coffee machines, refrigerators, and microwaves in the room. The hotel has a large swimming pool and gym. The surrounding area is safe and spacious, and the car can be parked freely. A few steps out of the hotel, there will be gas stations, supermarkets, and it is very convenient to buy some food and process it.
The particularly good thing is that there is a car rental company in the hotel, and the car is parked right next to the hotel, which is a great service!
GGuest UserVery good value for money, um, but the price is so low you better not report anything that exceeds the budget expectations
There is a certain smell and that small NPC type dumpling, the one that can't move on the wall
The jacuzzi is very good
PPratikkumarI stayed for two nights (28-29 Dec 2022) in the B building-first floor. There was no disturbance from the outside and it was quiet. The room was good with hot water available in the washbasin tap as well as the bathtub tap and shower. The check-in was smooth and one time I got locked out of the room without the access card. But, one of the security guys helped me out quickly. The bed was comfortable and everything worked well. The room didn't have any foul smell. The giant AC/heater near the bed did it's job well. The location is super convenient. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and I will definitely stay if opportunity comes.
莫莫奈瓦格The hotel’s morning is good and it’s self-service. The front desk here is also very enthusiastic. It’s very convenient to take a taxi to the school.
