An absolutely wonderful experience! The entire hotel was designed by Singapore's Temasek Group and is seamlessly integrated with the Panmen Scenic Area. The hotel itself is built around a traditional Chinese garden layout, cleverly concealing eight distinct attractions. Its back entrance leads directly into the Panmen Scenic Area, and with your hotel key card, you get unlimited access throughout the day, along with services like Hanfu rental. The hotel itself is impeccable, with top-notch amenities, including the pool and gym. The customer service staff are also very professional. I noticed many foreigners, especially Singaporeans, staying here. The only minor drawback is that the rooms are spread across multiple buildings, making the hotel quite large. On my first visit, it took me a while to navigate from the front desk to my room. Also, the front desk is on the 3rd floor, while the rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floors, which can be a bit confusing when coming and going.

The hotel is located right next to the north end of Pingjiang Road, less than 10 minutes walk to the Humble Governor's garden. It's on a bustling street, but once you get in, you don't really hear the noise. It's had to beat the location, unless you prefer to stay in a somewhat quiet area. The manager is very friendly and made me feel welcomed. While I requested a non-smoking room, the first room they gave me had a lingering smell of cigarette - probably from the outside, because all the rooms seem to be non-smoking. I asked for a room change, and he responded immediately without hesitation. The room was basically clean and comfortable. I could see the old roof of the neighbouring buildings, which was an interesting view. Because the rooms are housed in an old building, the facility is not cutting-edge quality: for example, the water pressure is weak, and the air from the A/C had some smell. All in all, the value was good for the price with the substantial discount I had this time through Trip.com.

During the May Day holiday, inspired by the poet Li Bai, I took my family to experience Yangzhou in 'smoky spring' (a famous line describing Yangzhou). Having previously stayed at the West Lake State Guest House in Hangzhou and the East Lake Hotel in Wuhan, I naturally wanted to experience the #YangzhouStateGuestHouse next to Slender West Lake this time in Guangling. The hotel complex comprises 15 buildings spread across a 400-acre garden. We chose Fufangyuan in Building 8 for two main reasons: firstly, its central location within the hotel, very close to Slender West Lake; secondly, two of Yangzhou's only 'Black Pearl' restaurants – #QuyuanTeahouse and #ShanRestaurant – are right next door and downstairs, respectively. This was a godsend for any #HuaiyangCuisine enthusiast.
We booked a Mountain View King Room, which had a well-organized layout. The Bvlgari toiletries were a nice touch, and the turndown service each evening included local specialty drinks and snacks. The lush greenery outside the window was incredibly refreshing. The hotel service was standard, and there's a shuttle bus within the property for easy access to the hot springs, pool, and restaurants. The garden landscape within the grounds rivals that of the West Lake State Guest House. There are different特色activities every day, and they even provide fish food and duck feed for children, which were lovely added touches. There's a small gate from the hotel that leads directly to the #SlenderWestLake scenic area, though you need to buy tickets independently.
Overall, the Yangzhou State Guest House is a fantastic hotel for family vacations. I'd give it full marks if you visit on a weekday, but staying during a holiday with a threefold price increase... well, maybe that's my problem.

Traveling to Nanjing with friends, this hotel exceeded our expectations! The room is equipped with a fresh air system, ensuring good ventilation and dryness throughout the day. The entire room was meticulously cleaned and spotless, with no lingering cooking or smoke odors, and the air was very fresh. The large screen for streaming worked flawlessly, making it a great experience for catching up on shows in my free time. The room attendant was kind and thoughtful, and we could store our luggage for free both before and after check-in. The hotel is located in the heart of Xinjiekou, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and sightseeing. For the price, the value for money is outstanding – for just over a hundred yuan, it felt like a several-hundred-yuan stay. Next time I'm in Nanjing, this will be my top choice for accommodation!

Stayed at the Andu Hotel in Suzhou with my bestie, and seriously, as girls, we couldn't help but fall in love with it! The environment is absolutely perfect for photos. They even offer free Hanfu rental for two hours, which is amazing. The room comes equipped with a fill light mirror, a hairdryer, and high-quality toiletries. The bathroom is spotless and has a bathtub. The bedding is super soft, and it was really quiet at night, ensuring a great sleep. The front desk lady was incredibly sweet and patiently recommended some lesser-known spots to check out. Plus, it's just a stone's throw from Shantang Street. The whole experience was comfortable and hassle-free – a perfect江南 (Jiangnan) accommodation experience!

Overall, it's a good hotel. The room was clean, the shower was spacious, and the amenities were decent. What I liked most was the breakfast – a huge variety and delicious, definitely worth it. However, I had a really bad experience and want to offer some feedback. The old building and new building share the same check-in desk. We arrived a little after 11 AM, and were told there were no rooms available in the old building, so we were asked to store our luggage, which was fine. We went to relax in the executive lounge. When we came down just past 12 PM, people with luggage were already checking into the Asia Pacific Tower, but I still hadn't received a call that our room was ready. It just felt like the old building isn't given the same priority; everything seems to go smoothly for the Asia Pacific Tower. This made me feel quite uncomfortable. There should be equal treatment, or the Asia Pacific Tower should have a separate check-in.
Also, the front desk service was clearly different. The more enthusiastic staff were definitely the supervisors or team leads, as they smiled more. The regular staff showed absolutely no enthusiasm and seemed unwilling to say an extra word. This was most evident when I came to get my room card after a concert and asked where to pick up food delivery – they just pointed ahead. However, the next day when I checked out and mentioned I had delivery, the person at the front desk explained it very clearly and gave precise directions. So, the service still needs improvement and doesn't quite match other five-star hotels.
The selection of snacks in the executive lounge during lunchtime was also very limited – just biscuits, a few small sandwiches, and some fruit, nothing else. I've stayed in executive lounges at other hotels, and the difference is huge. The environment itself is okay though.

This stay was absolutely perfect! The hotel's location is fantastic, right on a pedestrian street with great transport links. As soon as I entered the room, there were no strange smells. The floors were clean, and the mattress was just right – not too hard, not too soft – I had a wonderfully refreshing sleep. The staff were all very kind and patiently answered all my questions. The soundproofing was excellent too; I wasn't disturbed at all during the night. It's definitely my top choice for accommodation when traveling! Highly recommended.

The hotel is located down an alley, but it has its own dedicated parking, which is very convenient. It's not far from Laomendong, Confucius Temple, Zhonghua Gate City Wall, and the Nanjing City Wall Museum. You can even get takeout delivered as late as 11 PM. I booked a room with a balcony and the view was great. You can see the tour boats passing by. The hotel room was also very clean and tidy.

Traveling with my family, we chose this hotel, and the environment was really good. The location is convenient, just 100m from the subway station, and Shantang Street is only a few minutes' walk away. The front desk service was also very thoughtful; it was Dragon Boat Festival today, and they even gave us sachets with mugwort leaves. The room facilities are quite complete, with a separate refrigerator. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay.

Highly recommended! Before checking in, I thought it was an old hotel and didn't have high expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised upon entering the room. Although the decor is over 10 years old, all the facilities are of good quality. The furniture, carpets, and bathroom fixtures, though a bit dated, had a better feel than what was shown in the promotional pictures. The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent! The cleaning was very thorough, and the room had fresh air with no strange odors (no old room smell). The room also offered an open view and was quiet!
The front desk and restaurant staff I encountered during my stay were very helpful and efficient in handling requests and resolving issues. You could tell they were well-trained!
Considering the location, service, and quality, it offers great value for money!
Suggestions for improvement: There was only one tissue box at the washbasin. I recommend placing another one in the bedroom area. Also, it might be a good idea to periodically check the seals in the shower and toilet partitions, as there was a minor leak one day.

GGuest UserKudos to the cleaning staff on the 15th floor during Chinese New Year. The front desk, which is supposed to be the hotel's face, was a letdown. We checked in at the left counter using Hong Kong IDs, and after we were done, they asked if we needed help with our luggage. We had elderly and children with us, but there wasn't a single word of greeting. Breakfast was up to four-star standards; not a huge variety, but good quality. The lounge on the 5th floor was very average. They had red and white wine, but you had to ask the staff for beer.
SStanley The Travel ManI arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner. I didn’t and still don’t have an eSIM that can make local call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free. I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands. I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.
I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop to Suzhou which was my next destination.
This operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.
After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge . If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass. Do check with the owner for up to date information.
The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.
Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. . There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy. It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances.
The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.
This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.
I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket.
EEllasanheiThe room was incredibly clean, and right downstairs was Pingjiang Road pedestrian street. It was just a short walk to Shen Wansan's braised meat shop, and then quickly to the taxi stand. I stayed on the main road by the stream, and even though there were a lot of people passing by, it was very quiet once I closed the door. The camphor trees were blooming, and a lovely fragrance wafted in when I opened the window. The cleaning lady was very friendly; since I was staying for several days and playing tennis daily, I consumed a lot of drinking water. She would stock up for me every few days. The room layout was also great and very clean, and the bedding was super comfortable. I'm quite particular about bedding, but this experience was truly fantastic. I've found my spot; next time I come to Suzhou, I'll definitely stay here again.

BBear 1This hotel is in a very strategic location, with most attractions and amenities within walking distance. It’s family-friendly and convenient for getting around. Although there is no lift, the reception staff were very helpful and kindly assisted with carrying our luggage upstairs.
A big plus is the complimentary laundry service, which was greatly appreciated during our stay. The cleanliness was satisfactory and offered good value for the price paid.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to travelers looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay.

AAnonymous UserService: Excellent, self-check-in with a passcode lock was very convenient.
Environment: Not noisy at all, and the bed was very comfortable.
Facilities: Hot water was fast. The only thing was the bathroom mirror was a bit low, so I had to bend over slightly to dry my hair instead of standing upright.

DDuntiechongyijiaqinThe environment is fantastic, especially the location. It's incredibly close to Fuzimiao, right next to the Fuzimiao Grand Market. Getting to Laomendong, the Fuzimiao Qinhuai Scenic Belt, Jiangnan Gongyuan, or Bailuzhou Park is super convenient – all within a 10-minute bike ride. The atmosphere here is also excellent with plenty of public areas (and charging points!). I didn't take photos of the rooms, focusing mainly on the public spaces, which include a dedicated drying area. Plus, there's an elevator and shared showers and restrooms.
