"Romantic weekend spoiled by the toilet broken, called for help 8pm Friday night,  to be told we had to wait till the next day to be fixed. I said this was not good enough, no offer of changing rooms. The system would not fill up and were told to lift a section in the back every time we needed to flush.  Checked in at reception to what time the plumber would be here, to be told they don’t come out on weekends! They would send a staff member up to have a look in 10 mins. Waited 30min and called reception again. We needed to use the bathroom! Staff came for all of 4 min and left saying all fixed. When we went to flush and check,  it was still broken, no refill, called them back, 2 min fix this time, told it takes time to fill, and it only fill 1/2 way. Gave up, we needed to go out. We had plans! we put up with a broken toilet that when used,  had to take the lid off, lift something that allowed water in to flush. Number 2’s you had to do it twice. . Not good enough for the price"

"The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite the botanical gardens, and just three streets away from the city center. However, the room decor is quite old-fashioned. The hot and cold water taps are separate, making it very tricky to adjust the water temperature in the shower. The toilet flush is on the wall behind you, so you have to reach back after standing up to press it. Dining at the restaurant was a nightmare. After placing our order, they said they needed to change the gas and it would take 20 minutes. About 10 minutes later, a strong smell of gas filled the air... They offered to deliver the food to our room but couldn't guarantee when it would arrive today."

"Pros: The location is excellent, with many great restaurants nearby and close proximity to the river. The breakfast was surprisingly good; even though there weren't many options, the chicken congee and fried dough sticks were delicious, especially the congee! Cons: It was strange that despite all the windows being sealed, the room was very dusty. The bedding had holes, and the overall cleanliness was a bit lacking. Most importantly, it gets down to about 12 degrees Celsius at night in Brisbane during winter, and the central air conditioning couldn't be set to heat. The hotel didn't provide any heaters either, which made it incredibly cold! Thankfully, the staff brought us extra blankets, but as soon as we got back to the room, we had to huddle under the covers. If you're sensitive to cold, you should seriously reconsider staying here."

The service is simply not too disgusting! I went to check in, and I had to charge a deposit of $100. I didn’t pay much attention. When I swiped the card, I found that they had swiped nearly $500. I asked if my room had been prepaid. Will retreat tomorrow! It doesn't matter so much, I just said very harshly, isn't this your problem? She said, yes yes, I'll give you a drink coupon! It's really funny. I don't want to say, she probably fooled it. Then there is no drinking water in the room. When I checked in, I didn't tell us to take the pot to the elevator. We thought that there was no water, so we took the drink voucher and went to the bar below to get a drink, but when we heard that you wanted to use the drink voucher, we said we were closed. We said that there was no water in the room, so we told us to fetch water by ourselves! What’s even more irritating is the breakfast, we ordered breakfast included, because it is a single breakfast, so a person can only order one drink and one breakfast! I added a few hundred yuan more, just two stuttering! If you want something else, you have to add money! An internet celebrity hotel is an internet celebrity hotel, and it's useless except to take photos of them! Really believe in evil and live here! The breakfast buffet at W is delicious!

The location is fantastic! It's very close to the train station, bus station, and ferry terminal, and just a 3-minute walk to South Bank Park. Service: I really have to complain about the service. I booked for four nights, and on one of those days, the room wasn't cleaned, even after I specifically reminded the front desk. The cleaning generally was quite sloppy; tea-stained cups weren't replaced, with tea stains clearly visible, and the bathroom faucet was covered in water marks. We were quite surprised to find such service and hygiene standards in a hotel of this caliber. Breakfast is à la carte with limited portions, one Western-style breakfast per person, which isn't really suitable for Chinese palates. We asked the hotel if we could cancel breakfast for the last two days, and they replied that it wasn't an issue for the hotel, but since we booked online, we'd need to coordinate with the third-party booking site. Although Trip.com actively tried to mediate, the hotel still refused. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to Chinese travelers.

The hotel is relatively close to Brisbane Airport, with a good location. Downstairs is a restaurant and shopping center, which is very convenient. The parking fee is 35 Australian dollars. It is an apartment-style hotel, which is very convenient for family travel. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and complete kitchen facilities. There is also a balcony with leisure tables and chairs. If you have enough time, you can sit outside and enjoy the scenery. The room is also very clean. It is the first choice hotel for large groups of people.

Overall the Sofitel is a good business hotel. Conveniently located to Brisbane CBD and have all the basic things available. The hotel overall was nice and clean but the decor is bit dated including the bathroom. The bed was a bit average and seems bit old with the mattress not very flat so sleeping was not so pleasant.

This hotel was average in pretty much every sense. It was ”fine” in that it had two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and living room. The layout was not very functional, the toilet was pretty much in the middle of the bathroom, the power points were hidden behind the middle of the double bed there were three chairs for four people. Staff were helpful but the television didn't always connect and there wasn't enough dishwashing supplies, bin bags or toilet paper for our stay, which all involved trips to reception. The hotel location is a short walk to Queen Street mall and lots of, mostly Asian, restaurants.

Worry

A unique stay in Brisbane's historic heart We stayed in a Luxury One-Bedroom Apartment and were pleasantly surprised by how much it felt like a real apartment rather than a hotel room. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and had plenty of room to relax. The hotel's biggest draw is its history. The building was once the World War II headquarters of General Douglas MacArthur, which gives the property a real sense of character that you simply don't get in a modern hotel. The location is excellent, right on the corner of Queen Street and Edward Street, above the Apple Store and within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants and the Brisbane River. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay and made us feel very welcome. The only downside was that the room's thermostat didn't seem to do much, and it was difficult to noticeably adjust the temperature. Aside from that, we had an enjoyable stay and would happily return, particularly for the spacious accommodation and the building's fascinating history.

For breakfast, they cooperated with another restaurant. The environment is very good and the choices are abundant. For accommodation, we are on the 8th floor, just in time to catch upstairs to repair the subway, it is quite noisy.
