MM42544****Located in an old alley within the ancient city, this guesthouse, converted from a residential building, was overall quite good. Even though my room was on the first floor, the cleanliness was impressive; all towels were disposable, and the sheets were spotless. The owner was exceptionally kind and provided a very practical sightseeing itinerary. I also asked for a late check-out past 12 PM, and after a brief discussion, it was granted, which I really appreciated!

__WeChat256644****This B&B was the perfect choice! I'm quite particular about my accommodations, and after careful selection for my trip to Chaozhou, I landed on this one. It's a Ming Dynasty four-courtyard home, once the residence of a second-rank official, and was even a filming location for a CCTV Spring Festival Gala public service announcement in 2024. It's truly a deserving recipient of the 'Chaozhou Quality B&B' award and well worth experiencing. The location is absolutely fantastic; it's right near Kaiyuan Street, and you can easily walk to Paifang Street and Guangji Bridge. The owner personally designed the courtyard, and the floral arrangements are exquisitely tasteful. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the bedding is of high quality. All the toiletries are disposable, and even the toilet paper is excellent – the attention to hygiene details is outstanding. The service is beyond words; the owner is incredibly dedicated, personally greeting guests and helping with luggage. They also provide a Chaozhou food map, and all their recommendations were genuinely delicious. With the colder weather, the Gree air conditioning in the room provided fantastic heating, making our stay comfortable and cozy. Such a thoughtful B&B is sure to be a booming success!

I'd seen reviews raving about how surprisingly good it was and thought they might be exaggerating, but it genuinely exceeded my expectations! It's impeccably clean and tidy, all the facilities look brand new, and the room felt incredibly spacious. We had a truly comfortable stay!
I particularly appreciated the wet/dry bathroom separation, with the washbasin cleverly placed in between.
The location is excellent too; there are plenty of delicious food options nearby. It's just a leisurely 10-minute electric scooter ride to Paifang Street in the ancient city. Most importantly, it was incredibly quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep!
The owner is very friendly and helpful, offering great travel recommendations. Plus, you can even rent electric scooters directly from them!

WW_HanFor its location and the exceptionally friendly and warm welcome I received during my stay, this place is not only value for money but also a place where I felt like I was staying at a friend's house. Mr Su and team made sure I knew how to navigate the alleys and streets to get around while providing me with information on attractions and food. I especially like staying in an alley where it's quiet and yet the main alley with all the local shops selling produce and snacks is just around the corner. The locals live and shop in this less touristy part of the old town.
Thank you Mr Su for upgrading me to a bigger room when it was available the next day. The water pressure on the third floor is strong with plenty of hot water. The auto flush toilet with seat warmer was also good to have. The air-conditioner is also strong enough to cool the room quickly. The disposable face and bath towels provided are thin. For those who are not used to using disposable towels, bring your own towels.

MM852688****The hotel has a fantastic location, right inside the ancient city. You can take the K2 bus from Chaoshan High-Speed Railway Station and get off nearby. I had contacted the owner beforehand, and the housekeeper even came to pick me up. The guesthouse is very close to attractions like Guangji Bridge and Kaiyuan Temple. The rooms were clean and hygienic, and the owner was very welcoming, providing detailed travel guides and recommendations for good restaurants. The next day, because I bought my high-speed rail ticket late, the front desk offered luggage storage, and I even rented an electric scooter to explore the area and try their local specialty, ”Three Treasures Water.”

GGuest UserA little difficult to find as the taxi is unable to go to the hotel at certain times n need a short walk from xia Shui men..... About 3 mins walk. Hotel is rustic deco. Clean n conveniently located near the pai fang street (3 min walk) and the bridge is about 8 mins walk. Not used to the disposable towels that are provided.... Don't seem to absorb water. Reception is frdly and will invite u to join them for tea. Food is plenty on the pai fang street. The beef hot pot on the way just b4 pai fang was pretty good. There is a porridge place at nan qiao side opp the big hotels that was good

CCheng SiewThis is a very very strange hotel. More like a house with many rooms of various bedding configuration. However, although lacking in location, it makes up by providing really good quality rooms and a great b/f thrown in. The rooms were large and have very comfortable beds! The bedding suits small families of 3-6 pax depending on which room you book. As previously reviewed, the talking parrots are so cute. There is a corgi and 2 very fat & cuddly cats in the hotel. We were a bit uneasy as we seemed to be the only guests in the hotel (maybe location) but the quality of the rooms made up for it. But we had a private transporter so it worked out well for us. Remember to try the Roasted Duck next to the hotel. Can’t miss it as it was in a roaster machine. Delicious and so cheap 30 yuan for a whole duck!!!

Guangji Bridge is just a short walk away, and all the famous foodie haunts are within 200 meters. One tip: be sure to confirm the nearest taxi drop-off point with the guesthouse in advance, or you might end up walking a bit.
