We had such a warm and memorable stay as a mum travelling with my adult daughter, all thanks to our wonderful host, Mr Doldam and his lovely wife, Sue.
Communication was so easy as they speak English well, and they thoughtfully shared helpful tips on places to visit around Jeju, which made our trip even more enjoyable.
We accidentally stayed out past 9pm and missed our bus, and our host kindly came to pick us up from the village stop about 10 minutes away—something we truly appreciated.
They also helped send us off to the bus stop for our airport transfer, making everything feel smooth and well taken care of.
Breakfast was a real treat too—simple and wholesome, especially the homemade bread and tangerine jam 🍊 It truly felt like being welcomed into a home, not just a place to stay. Thank you!

Mido Hostel was such a lovely place to stay in Seogwipo. The location is great—close to the Olle Market and waterfalls. The common areas are cozy, and the rooftop is perfect for relaxing. Really creates a special community vibe. The staff were amazing—so kind and helpful with everything. They truly go out of their way to make guests feel welcome.
Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, and they even include breakfast.
Highly recommend this place. Can't wait to come back!

Guest UserCheck in here was challenging as there was no one at reception when we arrived. I got in touch with a Trip representative who managed to make contact with the team and someone soon came out to meet us.
Dan and Jin were lovely and it was a bonus that they spoke English. They also gave us some great recommendations for food and drink spots!
The undercover outdoor tub was a great facility while it was rainy and grey.
Kitchen and cooking facilities were basic but sufficient.
Location is a little remote, you’d definitely want a car if staying here.
All ‘round a great stay!

The women's dorm was nice! 4 bunk beds. The ladder for the top bunk was stable. Close to the bus stop and the seongsan port. Working AC, clean private bathroom, clean comfy beds, and the lady was very nice. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Guest UserI was lucky to have the room for my own. I slept very comfortable and I like that the washroom/shower is inside the room. The house is easily accessible by bus and even though is close to the road is very quiet. The ocean is nearby. Seongsan is a nice 20 min walk away, or you can take the bus if preferred. There's a restaurant on the lower floor and many more options around.
The host is very nice and even though she doesn't speak English makes you feel welcomed. The breakfast was abundant and delicious, although too early for me lol.
Check in can be complicated if there's nobody when you arrive and if you don't speak Korean, cause you have to call to inform you're there. It would be great if they have an email address for contact.

Great location! It's a 10-minute walk to Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak and about 15 minutes to the ferry for Udo Island. There are convenient stores like Nice to CU and 7/11 nearby, as well as good small restaurants, fried chicken places, and coffee shops.
The room was well-equipped, and a hot shower after a day of hiking was incredibly refreshing. The only downsides were the limited number of power outlets and their loose connections, making it difficult to charge devices.

Anonymous UserThe location of this hotel is incredible! I literally watched sunset from the comfort of my bed! The hotel itself is quite local and quite humble - simple but clean. The rooms are over 3 floors - the top 2 “floors”are just a façade wall 😅 Parking was convenient and free. Don’t miss having breakfast or an anytime coffee at the adjacent Café the Light - the pastries, the ambience and the views are wonderful and hotel guest get a discount on drinks.

AvaXJLocation: A newly opened hotel that is only 2 months old. Very near to the bus stop (same side as buses coming from Seogwipo, just walk right after alight and turn left at the first corner - less than 200m total distance). Seongsan Ilchulbong is another 200m walk away, great if you want to wake up early for a sunrise hike. Seven -11 is just opposite the bus stop.
Amenities: Clean hotel with a small pantry at the lobby where you can make coffee, get hot water and new towels.
Staff: Owner, Heewon is a lovely lady. I was locked out of my room late at night and she came to my rescue after calling the number left at the reception door.

This hostel is nearby to the main attraction of Seongsan Ilchulbong. My parents and I have our own cozy room although the room is a bit dated. You can walk to the restaurant nearby and plenty of choices from western to korean food. One good thing is check-in and check-out are all self-served which made it easy.

양하울No, these days, where can you find a place that doesn't support OTT like Netflix? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
I couldn't even connect it to my phone to watch it... Seriously...
I wanted to go sightseeing, come back to the place, have a drink, watch TV, laugh, and chat... But when I got back to the place, there was nothing to watch on TV, so I went to bed too earlyㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ If I knew this would happen, I wouldn't have booked here..
