Very Good
GGuest UserI love this hotel so much. The scenery nearby is great. If I have enough time, I will definitely stay here for a few more days to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The store also gave me delicious chocolates, which is great! You can see the lake and the mountains from the hotel, which is absolutely amazing. Picture 1 is the view from our window. We don't have a lake view room, but we are on the side, which is also pretty good. I will definitely stay in a lake view room next time I go there, it must be great!
CChi560Added 23 euros at the counter to upgrade to a room with a balcony facing the river.
Bed: The bedding is clean and hygienic, and the white quilt cover has a bumpy feel. It looks very pleasant to cover and is very comfortable. The mattress is firm and supportive, which is our favorite type;
Bathroom: relatively large, with wet and dry separation in the shower, and the toilet is clean;
Balcony: Go back to the room at night and sit on the balcony for a while, very comfortable and relaxing;
Front desk: The service staff is friendly and able to coordinate according to some of our requirements;
Overall very satisfied!
黄黄Hotel location is excellent, look at Lake Lucerne, breakfast is good, suitable for children but not extra bed, no parking. The attitude of the service staff is not bad, anyway, I will choose this one next time
RRebecka BowGreat central hotel close to lake Lucerne. Great breakfast in the morning (until 11am on weekend and 10am midweek). Breakfast was cereal, yoghurt, sausage, bacon, bread, pastries, toast, meats, cheeses, fruit, eggs etc. Lots of selection and all lovely.
The lady on the reception desk was lovely and very helpful (think her name was jasmine).
Reception area great with a vending machine for anything needed.
Only let down was the actual room. Very worn and a very tired room. Such a shame as the rest of the hotel was lovely but unfortunately we wouldn't return as the hotel room was very worn and tired.
GGuest UserHotel location is very good, we walked to Lucerne two hours in the morning, the balcony window is the spire of the church. Small, like a family hotel, the key is left in the envelope on the front desk, no staff provides other counselling services. The room did not have air conditioning, and I woke up in the middle of the night and found that there was a desktop fan. Overall, the price is not high, did not sleep well
GGuest UserWonderful location only 10min walk from Luzern station or 5min by bus.
Walkable distance to most of the attractions
Check in and out are easy with the use of machine
AAnonymous UserThe staff at Hotel Baslertor were awesome. Toby, Lars and the lady were so friendly and helpful, We felt so welcomed and like the room we stayed in. There are seating areas in the hotel and we were able to relax in between our outings. It was convenient to hop on a bus to get to the main train station and we are able to walk to many places. If housekeeping could keep the room even cleaner it would be perfect.
GGuest UserThe location is good, close to the train station and most sightseeing places in Luzern. The receptionists were all friendly and helpful. The only drawback of the hotel is noise levels. There are many restaurants around with outdoor seating so you would hear people chatting all the way till 11 pm. 5AM in the morning there would be loud street cleaning trucks. There was one night some bar nearby had loud drunk people noise till 2AM. There's no AC in the room so you have to leave the window open and deal with all the noises.
KKiat SiongExcellent accommodation, smooth check in and out process, good location. Excellent service from host that helped courier an item I left behind to me. Amazing stay here, highly recommended!
AAnonymous UserThe space is quite large and well-designed, without feeling cheap. The lighting is a bit dim, but that's common in Switzerland, and the lighting design here is actually quite good. Check-in and check-out are fully self-service, which works perfectly. The only downside is navigating a lot of stairs with luggage in the old town.
