3-Star Hotels in Xiaojin

What a pleasant surprise for our first stop on our western Sichuan road trip! The room was incredibly clean and tidy, and the owner is very detail-oriented. There's even an oxygen supply in the room, and the service was amazing and super attentive! The hotel also has fantastic views, which was very therapeutic! The yak hotpot was the best we had on this entire western Sichuan trip! Highly recommend!!!

I chose this guesthouse because I've recently been getting into mindfulness meditation. The concept of a 'meditation hotel under the snow-capped mountains' really resonated with me. The person who came up with this idea is a lovely woman who also owns the hotel. It's a shame I didn't get to meet her during my two-day stay, but I was lucky enough to be there during a heavy snowfall. It snowed at night and cleared up during the day. Some people wait a whole year for snow and don't get it, yet we stumbled upon it. On the flip side, some travelers came during bad weather and couldn't even see the snow-capped mountains. I recall a quote in the guesthouse's elevator that said, 'Meet the snow-capped mountain in your heart.' In truth, the mountain is already within us, yet people are always searching for the one they can see with their eyes. This guesthouse offers every convenience you could possibly imagine, and then some. I won't list them all here, but I urge my friends to choose this guesthouse without hesitation.

We booked the deluxe room with valley view. The room is small than standard Chinese hotel rooms, but I assume the space in the valley is smaller, so rooms are more compact. The view on the valley is truly amazing. Smart toilet, smart curtains, bathtub with view and oxygen improver round up the amenities in the room. The staff is friendly. The breakfast takes place in the hotel nearby, so not offered directly on the spot (this was on may 2026, maybe it changes in high season). Negative point are the parking area, which is a small common area behind the hotel (not private, so in high season could be complicated) and the cleaning of the room could be improved. Good for 1 night, but I wouldn’t do longer.

The room was spotless, and from the window, I could gaze at Mount Balang. Stepping out into the courtyard, I enjoyed views of Mount Balang on one side and Mount Siguniang on the other – truly delightful. The owner and staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Since my elderly mother was with me and experienced some altitude sickness, the staff showed great concern and care. Both dinner and breakfast were very satisfying. Considering we were in the mountains, the accommodation quality was excellent. Plus, their golden retriever and Mimi (the small dog) were both so well-behaved. Many thanks again to the owner for their wonderful service and good cheer during our stay.

This hotel is excellent! The owner is extremely kind and friendly. The service is outstanding, and the rooms are very clean. It’s close to the park—you can even walk there. There are plenty of food options around the hotel. The owner is super nice! There's also an adorable little dog named ”Huahua” who is incredibly gentle and not afraid of people. She even does targeted 'fan service' – absolutely adorable!!! The guesthouse is very close to the entrance of Changping Valley Scenic Area. The surrounding infrastructure is excellent, with supermarkets and breakfast shops nearby. The guesthouse facilities are top-notch, and the rooms are very clean. Plus, they have underfloor heating and free oxygen bags, so we slept incredibly comfortably at night! The first floor has a restaurant and a bar, beautifully decorated – perfect for taking photos, haha. The yak hotpot is also amazing, delicious and great value for money. Highly recommend!

The hotel is conveniently located within a 5-minute walk of the Changping Valley entrance and 5–10 minutes from the bus stop to Chengdu. Access to the hotel requires a short uphill walk or u can take a taxi ride. The hotel is clean, with spacious rooms, excellent service and great facilities.The owner was very helpful and kindly allowed a 3-hour late check-out at no extra charge.

The underfloor heating was a great bonus, and parking was convenient. The owner was also very welcoming. You do have to go out for meals. The hot water was good, but the projector quality was a bit underwhelming. The toilet flushes with the slightest movement, which I'd recommend fixing!

Extremely satisfied, truly excellent! The room I booked featured a huge floor-to-ceiling window with stunning mountain views. The little Golden Retriever, Tudou, was also super cute and had a wonderful temperament, happily letting everyone pet him, haha!
