We are a group of family with a young child (8yo.). Appreciate your warm welcome to us. Though we cannot speak Japanese, i think there was no big communication issue - with a Google translator. This ryokan provided all that I have imagined about Ryokan experience in Japan. I personally feel that this place is very very authentic, comparing to several ryokans that i have been to. The food is spectacular as everyone state. i was amazed more by the traditional hospitality!!
The staff were very helpful and the facilities were clean, so I was very satisfied.
When I wanted to order at the hotel restaurant, it was inconvenient to have to call the staff verbally. They weren't always nearby, so
We stayed at Asamushi Onsen (about 20mins drive from Aomori downtown) as part of our 2025 Spring trip to Aomori area, and booked Tstsumikan Onsen hotel to stay for the night. The hotel location is great. I think all guest rooms come with open ocean view. No private hot spring tub in the guest room but the large gender-specific hot spring pools are open privately to the overnight stay guests from 8PM to the next morning. The stay comes with 2 meals. The food is good and the dinner was served directly in the guest room. The next morning Japanese breakfast was served in the great tatami dinning room, and the breakfast package even comes with free coffee in the gift shop café after the meal. The staff are warm, and the service is good. My recommendation to this hotel come with no hesitation.
Unparalleled beauty, snow outside the window, warm as spring inside. The service is like a spring breeze, and the artistic conception is profound. Very good experience, I will choose here next time I come to Aomori

The hotel's location is excellent, right across the street from Aomori Station. Unfortunately, there was a lot of snow on the roads, making it difficult to drag my luggage into the hotel. Just one more street over are the Apple Factory and Nebuta House. It's a shame I couldn't visit Hirosaki due to the snow causing train cancellations.
The room just put 5 beds and 1 table. There is space for activities and spread out the suitcase before stacking the beds before going to bed. The same floor as the Japanese-style room and the large bath is very convenient, and the bathroom in the room is also very large. There are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Take a taxi to Aomori Station for about 1,000 yen, very close. It is a pity that the hotel does not have a washing machine.
