"The room is cozy and have everything needed but small. They have limited parking lot next to the hotel. We have to park at second car park because next to hotel one is full and parking fee JPY500. All the guests except kids have to pay hot spring tax no matter whether use the hot spring facility."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Takayama. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed — a great balance of practicality and coziness. The staff were warm and welcoming, making the experience even better.
The hotel had some standout touches that made it feel special: free chazuke (rice with broth) served every evening, a relaxing onsen and sauna available to all guests, and even free popsicles after your bath — small but thoughtful details that made a big difference.
The location is also excellent, just a short walk from the bus/train terminal and the city center. Overall, a very pleasant stay and a place we’d happily come back to."

"Location: the hotel is located right opposite the train station. When you arrive at the train station, just cross the road and turn right. Right next to the train station is the bus center so it is convenient for those who are taking a day trip to shirakawago and kanazawa like myself.
Facilities: there is a laundromat with only 2 machines for washing and drying on the 2nd floor. The machines only accept 100yen coins and you can exchange at the reception. There is also a sauna on the same floor. There is no weighing scale available.
Room: unfortunately, at the end of May 2025, the hotel was refurbishing their air conditioning system so there was no air conditioning in the room and it was a bit hot at times. Other than that, the room and toilet were quite clean. Water pressure was good. Water temperature was slightly inconsistent but acceptable. Toilet had a faint smell but it wasn’t too bad. I suspect it was the toilet or the shower curtain.
Staff: wonderful service from the hotel staff. They understand and can speak english.
Overall: highly recommended."

"This is very well kept 3 star hotel is 5 to 10 minutes shuttle outside of the centre of Takayama. It’s an absolute gem. The hotel provides a shuttle from the station - there’s a one person staffed office ton can have tea and coffee in while waiting opposite the station - and it’s regular and timely. The staff are delightful and courteous and helpful. The rooms are nothing exciting but they’re spacious enough and very clean and regularly tended. The happy hours at 5 and the complimentary ramen at 8 is lovely. Across the road there’s a large family mart that has all the essentials and food for an evening meal. Despite the motel-vibe, there’s just a great atmosphere about the place and the staff should be commended. Thank you for making our trip so memorable, Torbino hotel"

"Lovely room with lots of space and a great view back down the hill. Very quiet area at night, but there is a pleasant onsen to relax in. It is at the third stop on the cable car from Gora. It is fine to walk up the hill, but it would be hard work with luggage. There's a small supermarket near the first stop on the cable car."

"Good location nearby the trainstation & bus station too! The rooms are relatively small but manageable. Breakfast is included; a Japanese style breakfast, tasty!
Opposite of the hotel also a very charming Cafe.
And from the hotel also easy to discover the area and walk around! The staff was friendly but the hotel is more set-up as to do it yourself! There is a public bath with different times for men & women. And you can choose your pillow. In the public area downstairs there are some vending machines and some drinks are free!

"It was okay to stay. The room was a standard Japanese room. There was a light breakfast of boiled eggs, bread, coffee... and I didn't think there would be a shocking incident. A little after midnight, a drunk person tried to open the room door. Luckily, I called the lobby and a staff member told me to come and take care of it. Everything was fine, but I shouldn't have been this lax with the system..."

"It is a hotel where you can experience traditional style of Japanese room and shared onsen. The hotel was clean, both in the room and shared spaces. Amenities provided were sufficient. It is very close to the Hida village (open-aired museum) which is very nice, though a bit far from the city center where located other attractions. So, it is more recommended for those travelers who have a car to drive around.
The breakfasts came in traditional hida style set (i guess), and were delicious, especially the hoba miso.
The staff are nice and friendly too! Love it!"

"Of the three accommodations I visited during my trip to Nagoya, this one was the most soundproof and well-equipped. I booked the last remaining room, so the room was quite small, but the bathroom and toilet were clean, and the bedding was comfortable and cozy. The hot springs can only be used once a day after making a reservation. It wasn't a hot spring like Gero, but it was worth a try. The common lounge was free to use until 11 p.m., so I could have a light snack and sake at night. However, you have to clean up after yourself! It was very difficult to drag my suitcase to and from the station on a snowy day, but... I would like to come back to this accommodation again."

CCunminangelaTraditional Japanese hot spring hotel, booked a room with private bath, the room does not have a separate bathroom, there was a shower next to the private bath on the balcony, I felt that I could not take a shower and would freeze to death, so I had to go to the big bath to take a shower~
The service was very thoughtful, very traditional Japanese feeling, but English was not very good, this is also very traditional Japanese hahaha.
The food was very delicious. I have been to Japan so many times, and I can say that this is the best one-night-two-meals meal. It is exquisite and lasts until the next day hahaha
The hot spring is still very comfortable, but the only drawback is that there is not much good scenery, because it is a hot spring hotel on the roadside, it is blocked by a fence, and the open-air bath can only look at the sky, but the stars are very bright, it is still very good.
Overall, it is worth the money, recommended!
PS. People call it Yamanogojuku, not Inoyama Hat😹

22D_VISIONIt is just off the Nohi Bus H50 Murakami Station. It is a very exquisite Japanese hot spring hotel. The service staff is very enthusiastic to welcome you. There is an open-air private bath in the room, and there are two public open-air private baths that do not require reservations (the door can be locked). It happened to be snowing, and the experience of bathing in the snow was excellent. The included dinner was very rich, Hida beef was all you can eat at once, and the breakfast was also good. Overall, it was great value

The location is excellent, just below the Shinhotaka Ropeway, which is very convenient for us with a tight schedule.
The room is a traditional Japanese tatami, and the two meals are amazing. When checking in, you will be informed of the dinner time and restaurant, and you can choose the breakfast time. The restaurant and seats for dining are fixed, which is very considerate.
The food is rich and the dining experience is very good. The open-air bath is great! Bathing in the snow is a choice of life.
The only small suggestion: the air conditioning temperature in the room cannot be adjusted. It is still hot even at the lowest setting. The children and I can't fall asleep, but it will be very cold in the early morning after turning it off, after all, it is a windy and snowy day outside.

During the whole stay, only one of us has a family bath and 5 pools casually, watching the snow fall on my shoulders quietly, life is happy! It is very suitable for children. Breakfast and dinner are very supportive. It is close to Shinhotaka and the ski resort, and it is quieter than Hirayu.

雲雲尼王A small hot spring hotel. I really feel the hotel's care. Compared to more prosperous areas, I prefer this kind of remote small hotel. I feel that the hotel wants to do every place carefully. Although the price is cheap, there are many details. Everything is well done. For example, there is a self-service snack and drink area in the lobby, which is available 24 hours a day. Yukata for children is also provided. The hotel rooms are very clean. I wonder if they have been renovated, so the rooms are very new and clean.

AAnonymous UserIt is a Pet friendly hotel 🐶 You can bring your dog and cat to stay. There is a private outdoor onsen or anyone who wants to take your pet to soak in the onsen as well. And there are many types of rooms to choose from, stone pond or Hinoki wood. The staff are very helpful. Even if I can't communicate in English, dinner is Dinner course is served in order. Breakfast is varied. It is a Japanese-style buffet style such as curry rice, miso soup, Ochasuke, soba, or Americans, bacon, sausages are also available. The view of the dining room is very good. It is a 360 degree glass when it snows. Sit and have breakfast to see the snow view and next to the hotel there is a small waterfall as well. The hotel is about half an hour away from Takayama. Will drive up the hill along the hill There is no street light at night. It will be quite dark, the car runs less, but not scary nearby. The hotel has a coffee shop. Go down a raft and you will find a souvenir shop.

DDaniela888Amazing onsen hotel. We really loved our stay here. Located just a short bus ride away from Hirayu Onsen Town, the village is even more beautiful and serene.
The food for dinner and breakfast was fresh, varied and super tasty. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The common areas were super inviting and the staff very friendly and helpful.
It was super easy to use the private onsen. No reservation needed - first come first served - and there was 4 of them so you would not need to wait long to get an opportunity to use it. The hot baths both inside and outside were the perfect temperature and quite scenic in the middle of the trees.
Would love to go again in the future.

GGuest UserNice experience. It’s a traditional Japanese style architecture. Offer individual and outdoor hot spring, you can have a chance to enjoy hot spring with snowy weather.
We had breakfast and dinner for 2 days. Delicious and various foods included sashimi, beef, and local dishes, but a little salty. (We think Japanese like salty and its position is at high altitude.
Spacious room, Soft bed and hard pillows.
