5-Star Hotels in Luoyang

This hotel is excellent, truly deserving its place on this year's Black Pearl Guide. It's perfectly located right outside the main entrance of the Longmen Grottoes, just a few minutes' walk to the scenic area, and very convenient for reaching the high-speed train station or the city center. The surrounding area features Longmen Ancient Street, offering plenty of dining and shopping options. The hotel itself has a fantastic design, making it very photogenic. What's even better is the attractive price – the value for money is outstanding; I doubt you'll find a better deal on the entire Black Pearl list.

I rarely leave reviews, but this time I just had to because the hotel was so exceptional, and I didn't want the hard work of all the staff to go unnoticed. I stayed for four days, and the room was incredibly comfortable, spacious, clean, and beautiful. But beyond the room's comfort, the service truly provided an overwhelming amount of emotional value. 👍 The complimentary pick-up and drop-off service was fantastic. The driver was formally dressed, neat, and proactively helped us with all our luggage. The car was also spotless, and everyone received a wet towel and a bottle of mineral water upon entering. The attention to detail in their service was outstanding. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and diligent. Every day, they offered a free selection of snacks, beverages, ice cream, and tea bags. Whenever we had questions, they answered with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, and even gave us various small gifts, which was a delightful surprise. The housekeeping service was absolutely unparalleled; it made you feel like royalty (like even the emperor would bow to you! 😂). All the housekeeping ladies not only fulfilled every request but also proactively anticipated our needs. For example, when they saw my glasses on the table, a housekeeping attendant proactively brought an eyeglass case. When they noticed we had a lot of clothes, a lady would bring a drying rack. And when they saw our cosmetics scattered on the table, another lady brought two small cosmetic bags to help us organize and carry them more conveniently. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, with a comprehensive selection of Chinese and Western, hot and cold dishes. The restaurant staff would also proactively and randomly ask guests daily, 'How was your rest last night? Do you have any suggestions for improvement?' If they saw a guest carrying too many plates, they would offer to help carry them back to the table. For dishes that took a few minutes to prepare, they would ask for the table number and deliver them. If you didn't want to go downstairs for breakfast, they could even deliver it to your room. The parking attendant was also amazing, helping with parking, moving cars, and safekeeping keys. Whenever you parked, the attendant was always there, truly providing constant assistance. 😂 Across every service, there were so many instances of such proactive service that it truly deserves the highest praise.

If your room rate was 380 instead of 580, I wouldn't have any complaints. The hotel staff's service is definitely commendable, and the turndown amenity in the room was a thoughtful touch. However, the hotel's hardware facilities are really substandard. Firstly, the room is very small, and the shower in the bathroom looks moldy, which is quite unpleasant. The bathroom fixtures also look cheap. What particularly alarmed me was the air conditioning. Don't tell me it's some kind of inverter smart AC, and don't tell me to report issues immediately for resolution. This type of AC simply wasn't a good choice from the start. I set it to the lowest fan speed and 24 degrees. When it reaches the temperature, it stops operating, but once the temperature rises, it suddenly restarts with an incredibly loud noise, waking you up from your sleep. If you set it to a low temperature, you'll be freezing cold. Either way, you won't get a good night's sleep. Of course, maybe I just don't know how to use it. The most outrageous thing is that for about 140 rooms, you only provide two dryers and two washing machines. You end up waiting in line to do laundry, which drags on until late at night. The self-service laundry room is also ridiculously small. I don't want to give a very low rating because the service staff were all attentive, but perhaps the hotel owner should seriously re-evaluate their hardware facilities.

Luoyang is truly a city you won't want to leave once you've arrived! So many museums to explore, endless beautiful sights to see. I stayed here for all 4 days of my trip, and the hotel was fully equipped, with excellent service and a fantastic location. It's far enough from the noisy city center but still conveniently close to the attractions – a taxi to any major scenic spot never cost more than 15 yuan. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

My stay at the Novotel Luoyang Haode left a wonderful impression. It was clear that the hotel puts a lot of thought into its service and details. The lobby immediately offered a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, and the front desk staff were professional and kind, making the check-in process smooth and efficient. The guest rooms were meticulously cleaned, and the hygiene was reassuring. The mattress was incredibly comfortable, helping to alleviate the fatigue from days of sightseeing. The breakfast not only offered a wide variety of options but also included many local Luoyang delicacies, allowing guests to savor regional flavors. The hotel facilities were well-maintained, and staff members like Ivy always greeted me proactively when passing by, offering sincere and unforced service. Overall, I couldn't find any faults with anything; it's definitely a top choice for accommodation when traveling to Luoyang.

The overall environment is pretty good, and the breakfast at 68 is reasonably priced. The room had water and 4 complimentary drinks. The room itself was quite nice, and the staff were friendly. However, because the hotel is so large, finding the elevators was confusing. The map provided wasn't very clear. There should be more recognizable signs on the walls indicating room numbers and elevator directions. A concerning incident was when I couldn't find an elevator after walking around for a long time, so I decided to take the stairs down. To my surprise, the door on the first floor was locked. I had to go back up to the second floor to find an elevator. For safety, how can the bottom door of a fire escape be locked?

Huge thanks to Karen, the Front Office Manager, for helping us get a room upgrade and planning our itinerary in advance. The concierge was super friendly, greeting us warmly and assisting with our luggage. The lovely lady at check-in thoughtfully offered us hot drinks, and Vivian at the front desk even gave us a kind reminder and some water for our journey when we were heading out. We really appreciate it! Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the housekeeping staff on our floor were so attentive. They noticed we'd run out of water, left a sweet note, and brought extra bottles, which made our Christmas feel incredibly warm and special.

Beautiful hotel with a fantastic breakfast. We were a little frustrated at check in as we had paid for a more expensive room that wasn't ready on time so they tried to give us a lower end room under the false claim that it was an upgrade when it was in fact a downgrade. Additionally the pool was a public one located off site from the hotel. It was a nice facility but it would have been good to know as I almost went in my bathrobe which would have been an awkward walk around the block. With this minor issues we still had a nice and enjoyable stay.

Hygiene: The hotel meets five-star standards, it's very clean. Service: The staff are well-trained; both the housekeepers and receptionists are polite and courteous. The restaurant staff proactively offer guests coffee or tea, making you feel right at home. Double Buffet Breakfast: The breakfast selection is extensive, with many local Henan specialties. We all enjoyed it very much, it was delicious. Areas for Improvement: It's summer now and quite hot and humid. There's a coffee machine at the front desk, but it would be even better if there was a spot to offer newly arrived guests some iced drinks, iced tea, or iced water. It's quite close to the Longmen Grottoes. I didn't take many photos, so here's just one.

This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to write a positive review, and I really need to give an objective, to-the-point assessment of the two-bedroom duplex suite I stayed in at the Hilton Luoyang. I originally booked a king room, but when I checked in, I found out they had a new room type. The front desk staff told me it was a newly opened two-bedroom duplex suite. Since I was traveling with my child, I figured comfort was important, so I paid at the front desk to upgrade and try it out. This was my first time staying in this kind of room, so I didn't have high expectations. However, once we got into the room, my wife and son absolutely loved it! Seeing their happy faces, I felt it was totally worth the money. The room even had a spiral slide, which my son adored and didn't want to leave. The front desk staff kindly extended our check-out until 2 PM, which I really appreciated. A big thank you to Alin, who checked me in and recommended a room type that perfectly met my needs. My son even said he wants to stay in this room again next time we visit Luoyang. Our whole family had such a wonderful time on this trip to Luoyang, which is why I'm gladly writing this positive review for the Hilton Luoyang. See you next time, Luoyang!
