It's in a great location in the center of town. I was able to walk to anywhere in Stone Town. The room I stayed in had one queen-size bed. It was a room, but it had no windows and was very dark, so I don't recommend staying in the room during the day. I don't recommend staying in the room during the day. There was a turndown service, and they sprayed the room with nuts and insect repellent at night. Breakfast was included, but you could choose from three types, and it was very filling and very satisfying.

The location of the hotel is acceptable, the main value for money

We stayed at Shoki Shoki House for one night to explore Stone Town before heading to Jambiani. We booked a Deluxe Double Room (Room 1) on the ground floor. Upon arrival, we couldn't enter our room immediately as the room had just been sprayed with insecticide for mosquitos, so we had to wait around 20 minutes in reception. The reception staff were friendly, and the room itself was clean and comfortable, though quite basic. A nice touch was the complimentary minibar, which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, the biggest downside was the noise during the night. Firstly, there was noise from the streets outside which didn't bother us too much, but then at around 3:30 am, we were woken up by loud banging and moving sounds right outside our room, which sounded like maintenance or repairs. This lasted around 30 minutes, and I struggled to get back to sleep after that. Breakfast the next morning was very good, with food cooked to order, plus a starter of fresh fruit and pastries. There was plenty of food and a nice way to start the day. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the centre of Stone Town, close to the beach and main sights, making it a great base for exploring. After checking out, we appreciated that the hotel stored our luggage for us while we wandered around.

The attention to detail was spot on. Felt so welcome and spoilt!! Fantastic service and facilities. Very clean, well put together, the staff really do go the extra mile. A gem hidden away, definitely a must stay in stone Town. Highly recommended!

Amazing hotel, wonderful and friendly staff! The breakfast food was fantastic. The staff helped us coordinate outings and was very helpful. Overall it was a great experience and we are pleased that we stayed here. I can’t recommend this hotel higher!

Nice and cozy hotel in the centre of Stonetown. Short way to the beach and night market. Room and bathroom clean, and free and good bath amenities. Strong and free internet, very tasteful breakfast, friendly and service minded staff. Only negative thing is lack of view from the room.

The hotel is a perfect place to stay if you want to explore Stone Town. It’s located in the city with everything on walking distance. The staff in the hotel are really kind and very smiley and helpfully people. The hotel provides also a really fresh and delicous breakfast.

A warm welcome and very friendly staff. Family room was well laid out although no mosquito net for extra bed but aircon was good. Breakfast was huge and super tasty especially the vegetarian option. Just be warned: took an hour to come so remember that if you’ve an early flight or something you need to get out for early!
