The hotel is conveniently located, close to the beach and a popular coffee shop. The service is good and the food is good.
Except for the two rooms where the automatic curtains could not be opened and took a long time to repair (probably because the hotel is not new after all, but it can be seen that the maintenance is quite good), and Ctrip booked the wrong room type, the rest is generally OK.
Ctrip booked the wrong room, which is not the hotel's fault, but it does affect the experience. The hotel could not give me the room because the room type I booked was fully booked that day, but the attitude of the front desk to try to solve the issue is quite good.
The hotel staff are very nice, so the overall experience is still OK.
I was quite happy with the hotel's location; the Opera House, Royal Botanic Garden, the most beautiful station, and the pier were all within easy reach. The hotel has been renovated, and the room was better than I expected. The cleanliness was also fine, and they provided plenty of towels. We arrived at the hotel around 8 AM on an early flight to drop off our luggage. When we returned around 10 AM to get some clothes from our bags, we found the room was already ready, so we checked in early (even though the front desk said they would message me when the room was ready, I didn't receive any message or email). I had noted in the booking that it was my child's birthday, and sure enough, a small cake was delivered later. The breakfast also exceeded my expectations; the coffee was freshly made, and you could order omelets, fried eggs, and eggs Benedict à la carte, which I really appreciated. Although there was a slight unpleasantness during check-out, it was resolved smoothly in the end (be sure to check your bill when checking out; another guest's $90 parking fee was charged to our room, whether accidentally or intentionally. After I discussed it with the front desk, they refunded it). Overall, I'm satisfied, and I would likely consider staying at the InterContinental again on my next visit to Sydney.
Cool hotel on the ocean shore)) Breakfasts are generally 🔥 (there is a buffet with avocado and salmon, eggs, chia and passion fruit pudding) and good coffee!
