The InterContinental Jing'an is like a 'safe haven' for family trips – hassle-free, comfortable, and just right. I especially want to commend Chime; his smile is as warm as sunshine. When my child was a bit fussy during check-in, he immediately brought over a small toy to entertain them, and even proactively helped us take our luggage to the room and adjusted the AC temperature. Every time we saw him afterward, he'd remember to ask, 'Did the little one have fun today?', which felt so thoughtful and genuine. You need a key card to access the guest floors, which made us feel very secure. The beds were neither too soft nor too hard, perfect for both adults and children to sleep well. No frills, just a place that makes you want to come back. I love it here, and I especially love the warmth of people like Chime.

Came to Hongqiao for an exam, and the InterContinental was quite close by. Even though it's peak exhibition season and there are lots of people around, my room was still very quiet. A big thank you to InterContinental for the desk and coffee; they were my companions through an entire night of studying. I always love the InterContinental toiletries – they're so comforting. Time flies; I remember passing by this InterContinental when I was a student volunteer for the CIIE (China International Import Expo).

My mother had always wanted to visit the InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland, and we finally made it! Our whole family, young and old, came along.

**Room Experience**
We splurged 2200 for a room, which was upgraded to a 2900 Sapphire room (room number 808). It was right in the center of the hotel's curved facade, offering an excellent view! 

However, the room was very dusty. Dust kept blowing out of the air conditioner, and there were a lot of bugs. The moment we stepped onto the balcony, we saw all sorts of insects, and there was even a dead fly in the sink – quite disgusting. The hotel service was also a bit odd; they put a bottle of shampoo by the sink, and I assumed they mistook it for hand soap. 

Check-out was at 14:30, which was a nice bonus!

**Dining Experience**
We ate at three different restaurants over four meals.

*   **Fisherman's Wharf:** We had lunch here. They only offered set menus, 698 for two people. My husband, our child, and I shared one. It only included salad, soup, steak, and yogurt. The taste was mediocre, definitely not worth the price. It's the kind of place you visit once in a lifetime. It was slightly better than the one at Atlantis.
*   **The Source All-Day Dining:** We had the dinner buffet, 698 for two people. Children under 120cm were free. Honestly, there wasn't much to eat. My child had some sashimi and a few skewers, while I ended up eating a bowl of blanched greens. It would have been better to order takeout.
*   The **breakfast buffet** was definitely worth it. They had many live cooking stations: made-to-order omelets, ramen, Jianbing Guozi (savory crepes), and a station for blanched vegetables.
*   **Cai Feng Lou:** We had lunch here on our second day. There were various awards displayed at the entrance. We ordered a special lobster, cod, and some vegetables. I thought the cod was decent, but overall, the dishes were quite salty. However, this was indeed the best restaurant in the entire hotel. They even gave us a free dessert because they forgot one of our dishes. The bill was over 800 for three people – the best value for money!

I also ordered takeout twice! You have to go to the hotel entrance to pick it up yourself, which is very inconvenient! I highly recommend takeout from Songjiang University Town – it's delicious and affordable!

**Travel Photography**
Booking a session was very difficult. They called me the day before, and the only slot left was Sunday morning at 9 AM. We got three free photos and a video. The shoot lasted 20 minutes, as we had to rush to breakfast. The final photos were good, and the editing was quite exaggerated. No one would guess I weigh 170 pounds! Hahahaha.

Highly recommend the Premium room with club lounge access, it provides great value for money if you have enough time to try the:

- afternoon tea (2pm - 4pm) includes tea/coffee and small sandwiches, cream cakes
- early evening buffet and drinks (5.30pm - 8pm) includes an excellent selection of food and as much alcohol as you can drink! 
- free drinks voucher for the hotel bar

You pretty much don’t need to leave the hotel! The room was comfy and had all amenities you could need. However it is showing its age and there were a few issues including the blind not closing properly but they fixed this. The other issue was the bathroom door not closing properly and making an awful sound. If you’re afraid of heights then I’d recommend you don’t walk in the atrium as it will cause vertigo! 

A brilliant option for Shanghai, the metro is a 5-10 minute walk away.

Taking advantage of the good weather this weekend, I brought my parents for a nostalgic trip to see old mansions. We chose to stay at the InterContinental Ruijin Hotel this time. The hotel's location is superb, right in the heart of the Huaihai Road commercial area, and it's a short walk to Sinan Mansions, Fuxing Park, and Tianzifang. As soon as we entered the lobby, we were captivated by the giant crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling. It looked even more beautiful when lit up at night. The InterContinental's service was excellent as always, and we checked in very quickly.

We booked a two-bedroom family suite in the main building, which features two bedrooms, a living room, and three bathrooms. The master bedroom has a 1.9-meter king-size bed, the second bedroom has two 1.35-meter double beds, and the living room has a two-seater sofa and a single armchair. The room included four executive lounge privileges, so after dropping off our luggage, we headed straight to the executive lounge for afternoon tea. The executive lounge also has that 'old money' vibe, perfect for photos. For dinner, we could either dine in the executive lounge or pay an additional 99 RMB to eat at 'Lounge 99' Western Restaurant. We opted for the latter as it offered more variety, including complimentary langoustine and West Lake vinegar fish (yellow croaker), making it quite a good deal.

After afternoon tea, we took a stroll through the hotel garden. It was lush and green, and the spring breeze blowing through the leaves felt especially gentle. The sun also turned warm, and the green leaves cradled delicate, dew-kissed flowers. In the gentle breeze, the flowers swayed softly, looking somewhat shy.

I'm currently abroad for work and couldn't be there to celebrate with her, so I remotely booked a room night plus a double dinner deal at this hotel. I wanted them to experience a local staycation, and the entire process exceeded my expectations in a delightful way!

Service: Due to the time difference, and being worried my parents might encounter issues during check-in, I contacted the sales representative, Jennie, in advance. She was incredibly patient and meticulous throughout, answering all my questions, often even on weekend evenings. We had to adjust the check-in date and dinner choice, and she helped communicate everything immediately and seamlessly. A huge shoutout and thank you to Jennie here!

My parents mentioned that the staff in other departments, from the front desk to the restaurant, were all polite and professional, especially friendly towards older guests. Check-in was smooth, and since it wasn't busy, they even got a slightly extended check-out time.

Ambiance: My parents loved it! The room was spacious and comfortable, and fortunately, they were upgraded to a river view, which made it even more open and expansive.

Dining: In the end, my parents chose the Western buffet. They enjoyed an amazing variety of seafood – they ate so much they 'had to be wheeled in and out' (a playful way of saying they ate until they were stuffed!) even at 70 years old 😂.

The surrounding scenery is also beautiful, perfect for a leisurely stroll after dinner.

When I used to work in Shanghai, I'd occasionally come here for international conferences, so it's suitable for various scenarios and different types of guests.

Headed to the planetarium and finally got to check into the InterContinental Dishui Lake, a hotel I've been wanting to visit for ages. It's located on Dishui Lake South Island, and its exterior looks like a blooming peach blossom, literally occupying an entire island! The greenery and landscaping are absolutely stunning; every photo you take looks like it's from a luxury resort. 

Before arrival, a butler added me on WeChat to coordinate, sending hotel information and registering my license plate number. Parking was free during my stay, and they even upgraded me to a balcony room. The service was incredibly thoughtful!

This Intercontinental is truly a paradise for families with kids! Located in Shenzhen city center, it's like an urban oasis. The outdoor pool is huge and even has a sandy beach. The only minor issue was the boat, which had just been repainted and had a strong odor. In the afternoon, there are bubble parties. They also have a free merry-go-round and you can feed the fish. It's conveniently located, and ordering food delivery is easy. My only real complaint is that the room design feels a bit dated, and the bed faces the sliding bathroom door. Also, if your room faces the outdoor play area, be prepared for some noise from people singing karaoke late at night. Still, these are minor issues that don't detract from the overall experience.

We booked with package dinner buffet & photography service.
+ Dinner buffet have many varieties of seafood also Asian & Western cuisine. They also give beer, wine, drink cans etc.
+ Free photography service also nice. The photographer very nice & easy going. He gave us many model & place to take photo. They give free 5 raw photos. If you want edited photo it cost 50RMB/photo.
+ The room very nice, big and clean as you can expected from 5 stars hotel. We request for our anniversary wedding & they gave us chocolate cake in the room. Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap from by redo it's have nice smell. Also we get Dameisha Beach view from our room.
+ The staff very helpful from check in until check out.

- Not too many shop near the hotel. But have McDonalds, 711, local store. 
You can walk/ride bus to 8 Outlets it's small branded outlets but nice to walk around.
- The location far from Dameisha MTR around 1.4km. Also it's difficult to order DiDi, I ordered so many times but don't get. Then we decide to walk to MTR back to Hong Kong.
I hope the hotel can give shuttle bus from Dameisha MTR to hotel. 

Overall it's nice hotel because they we can direct go to beach & enjoy the beach. Thank you 😀

I still love the design style of this InterContinental – it's sophisticated and artistic. The room was spacious and smart, and kept meticulously clean. All the staff here are so welcoming and professional; they were always quick to respond to my needs. A special thanks to Sherry, Linda, and Luke – they were so kind and patient, and even helped me get a complimentary room upgrade! My stay was fantastic. The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of choices; I particularly enjoyed the wontons and noodles. I found the location really convenient, being close to both the airport and the ski resort. The facilities are also top-notch, with a gym, a pool, and even a kids' club – perfect for relaxing or entertaining the little ones!

I am not going to deny all the good points despite one terrible encounter.
- excellent location, near Haram
- connected to a mall
- a lot of shops and restaurants nearby
- staff in general was good 
-housekeeping people are amazing!

One shocking encounter is when I called the reception early in the morning as my old father had fallen from his bed and I needed someone to help me pick him up. The heartless man at the reception said there is no one to help. 

Later he did send someone and then I called again to ask them to help me call an ambulance and he said ‘isn’t the guy there already’?
And i was like yes, but that guy is not a doctor! I need a doctor

That cruel guy didn’t offer any help and said i’d have to call the ambulance using my own phone. Luckily, it was not a serious emergency for my dad at the end but imagine what could have happened.

Maybe the staff needs to show more humility and be human instead of thinking about their reputation only! Absolutely traumatized by this experience.

Our stay at InterContinental Madinah Dar Al Iman was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The hotel perfectly blends luxury, comfort, and spirituality, offering everything one could wish for when visiting the Prophet’s Mosque.

The location is unbeatable, just steps away from Al-Masjid An-Nabawi, with direct access to the ladies’ and men’s prayer gates, making it incredibly convenient, especially during prayer times.

The rooms were spacious, beautifully maintained, and spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds, soft linens, and all the amenities expected from a top tier hotel. The view of the Prophet’s Mosque from our window was breathtaking and made every moment feel extra special.

Service throughout our stay was impeccable. The staff were courteous, professional, and genuinely kind, always ready to assist with a smile. Check in and checkout were smooth, and housekeeping was attentive to every detail.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding, offering a wide variety of international and Middle Eastern dishes, all fresh and delicious. The restaurant staff were warm and accommodating, making sure every guest felt welcome.

Overall, InterContinental Dar Al Iman truly stands out for its prime location, world class hospitality, and serene atmosphere. It’s the ideal place for anyone visiting Madinah, whether for Umrah, Hajj, or personal reflection. We left with hearts full of gratitude and peace, and we’ll definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Highly recommended! A 5-star experience in every sense!

We had originally booked another hotel but upon arrival there we immediately canceled our reservation and were looking for another hotel in the area ASAP, something clean, close to Masjid Nabawi and fairly priced.  We knew the name and brand; however, we saw two Intercontinental hotels and went with the one we felt had a slight edge or advantage.

The hotel was built many years ago and we were informed that it is in the planning process of a renovation so we knew ahead of time what to expect. It has signature blue carpet and a 1950’s/1960’s vibe that I personally adored (almost out of a James Bond movie with Sean Connery).   Everyday we stayed at the hotel, it grew on us.  The view outside was heavenly mashAla.  Remember you can open the window haha some people I imagine think they can’t.  It such an experience and you have to do it.  Most importantly, however, the sweatheart staff and how accommodating they were, you forget you’re staying at the Intercontinental and imagine you’re at your friends house.  Again, We had an amazing window view and could see in the direction of Uhud.  All The cafe’s are right outside of the hotel, the mosque is literally right outside the hotel and down the walking path, maybe a 5 minute walk.  Plenty of pigeons to feed, affordable Ubers/ Taxi right outside, you can walk to Uhud you can walk to Quba, you can do it all.  And the best part, the check-in/help desk are right in front of you when you walk in to the lobby.  

Side note: if you enjoy peoppe watching , you get a great view from your hotel room to the outside. 

They have a coffee bar in the Lobby with free dates and Arabic coffee (world class) and this hotel served the best Breakfast and room service food I’ve ever had and I’ve been to 51 countries, aged 44.  It was even at par or better maybe than the Jabal Omar in Mecca we stayed at.  You absolutely cannot lose out by staying at this hotel.  If you have any issues pick up your room phone and dial any one of the prompts and someone will alleviate any issues you have.  

The hotel executive management were world class and again treated me like a friend/family.  Based off our repertoire I’d come back to this hotel because Sister Khadijah and staff were so amazing mashAla.
