Dunqian Hotels in Taichung

My family and I changed about 3-4 hotels on our Taiwan trip this time and this hotel impressed us the most. Huge beds and clean interior. Really pleasant staffs as well. Only weird quirk was not providing some form of hand soap. Still, a 10/10 hotel and there isn’t any place I’d rather stay the next time I visit Taichung!

The environment is very clean and comfortable But a big problem is that the sound insulation is really bad In the middle of the night, you will hear the sound of running water or the corridor. But it’s very close to Fengjia Night Market and you can walk to the streets full of delicious food. Because it is so convenient, I stayed there three times in a row even though the sound insulation was very poor. Thank you.

The location is okay, like 15- or 20-minute walk from Feng Chia Night Market. But if you need to take a bus around in Taichung, there could be quite a travel. The room is old but anyway in bearable conditions. Some man knocked my door 2am at night, turning out to be at the wrong room (yet still quite scaring). 

Nice hostel, good location. It was a bit inconvenient for me that they closed the common area until 8 am, as I planned to use it before check out. Also the bed lining is questionable, as you only receive sheets and not a proper cover. I assume the blankets and pillows don’t get washed after every guest. I found that quite unhygienic.
