Light Hostel Tainan Reviews

Very well located hostel, near the main train station and metro. It has good commodities, modern decoration and the staff is nice. It is clean, showers are good, the beds are comfortable and offer good privacy. As the rooms are big there are many people and it was noisy when I was there as guest kept on arriving late (some even in the middle of the night) and made a lot of noise in the room.

The double room was excellent. The bathroom was very spacious with great water pressure and a separate wet/dry area, which was a huge plus. However, around 11 PM, there was a loud machine operating, which was quite disruptive, though thankfully it eventually stopped. Then, around 8 AM, we were also bothered by loud airplane noise... Other than that, everything was fine.

Highly recommend this place if you're traveling solo to Tainan! Firstly, the location is excellent. You'll find many fantastic eateries nearby, including Du Hsiao Yueh, Shrimp Rice, and Pan Shu-Feng's House. Shennong Street, Blueprint Cultural & Creative Park, and Hayashi Department Store are all within easy walking distance. There's even a YouBike station right in front of the hotel! 😄 Having the bathroom inside the room could be both a pro and a con. Personally, I'm not sensitive to noise, so it wasn't an issue for me. But if you arrive late, there's also a shower room on the B1 level available for use. Lastly, I really appreciated the well-designed common area on the first floor. 😆

The location is fantastic, right in a bustling district. Room amenities are basic but sufficient. The common area in the lobby offers a decently equipped kitchenette, and the price is also quite reasonable.

There's a great variety of shops and restaurants in the vicinity.

The perfect hostel honestly. Room is a nice size, and it isn’t too packed. Also it’s clean and the staff are friendly.

The lobby's ambiance and the hotel's location are absolutely fantastic. It's just a shame that our double room didn't come with a mini-fridge. Also, the lack of a mirror in the room made applying makeup quite inconvenient.

Great location, very close to the city center. The bathroom was clean and there was plenty of hot water. Excellent!

The place is clean and the location is super convenient. It's ideal for stays with friends, as there's a common area perfect for chatting, eating, and playing games together. Highly recommended!

The location was superb, the staff were incredibly friendly, and we made so many wonderful memories. If I ever travel to Tainan again, I would definitely love to revisit. Highly recommend!

The accommodation offered good value for money. I stayed in a 6-person female dorm, and it was very convenient to have an en-suite bathroom and toilet. Additionally, there are plenty of dining options nearby, and public transportation is easily accessible.

The hotel was impeccably clean and brightly lit throughout, with gleaming floors. The room was odor-free and neatly arranged, and the bathroom facilities were spotless, all contributing to a comfortable and reassuring stay. Excellent!
