This was my first time back in Taipei in 10 years, and I arrived with almost no expectations, but Hotel Éclat made the trip incredibly memorable. The biggest highlight was the people. Raymond at the concierge was exceptional. He was warm, polite, genuinely caring, and always ready with helpful recommendations for two foreigners unfamiliar with Taiwan. He even went out of his way to arrange for my friend and me to stay on the same floor, subject to availability, which we really appreciated. Raymond, together with Henry and Simon, made every interaction feel personal and welcoming. Seeing them in the evening always put a smile on my face because they are truly what made the hotel feel like home. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, very clean, and full of tasteful art. The rooms feel warm and cozy, with lovely wood finishes, excellent bedding, a beautifully designed bathroom, and great amenities. I had some of my best sleep here while travelling overseas. Overall, it was a luxurious stay with a genuine sense of warmth and outstanding service. Special thanks again to Raymond. He is an amazing person and a real asset to the hotel.

The hotel is 5 star but doesn’t serve like 5 star. Location wise is quite okay, got bus stations nearby, if you gonna take Mrt need to walk about 7mins. There are marts like 7-11 and family mart nearby, about 5 mins walking distance. The hotel not really super clean, the bed is nice but have sound, the spring inside the bed is spoiled, the body shampoo provided is making me feel itchy so end up need to buy own soap, they require deposits 1k/night so if you don’t want to review ur credit card info u gonna give cash to them. They didn’t really considerate not helping us with the luggage not helping us. There are staff who are caring and polite but there’s one guy not really helpful and attitude abit bad. Overall I won’t come back, with this budget I can get better hotel. If you ask me what is good,The hotel design not bad, that’s all. NOT RECOMMEND AND WONT COME BACK! The room have small cockroach 🪳btw!

The breakfast spread was quite limited, barely a 3-meter long table. There were very few vegetables, and neither the Western nor Chinese options particularly stood out. While there was a sign on the table indicating you could order different types of eggs, they were prepared very simply, without any presentation.

The room was really, really old, and the drainage system had issues. The hot and cold water also had problems. The location is good, but I won't be staying here again. Plus, it's super small, just like hotels in Tokyo, so you can't even open your luggage...

The bathroom had a slight leak and the toilet wasn't super clean. But for this price, and being in Daan District, there's not much to complain about. The hotel has a lot of artwork, even the clock in the room is a piece of art.

Hands down the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The Wi-Fi was practically non-existent. It looked connected, but I couldn't get online at all. The hotel also didn't provide amenities. The note in the drawer said 'amenities not proactively provided,' which I took to mean they'd give them if I asked at the front desk. But the front desk said they had absolutely no amenities at all, which was a surprise. For breakfast, there were little flies on the cold dishes, so I only ate some of the covered hot food. The foil on the siu mai was incredibly cheap, and you couldn't be sure there weren't bits of it stuck to the dumplings. I woke up at 3 AM sweating to find the air conditioning broken. The room temperature soared to 29 degrees Celsius and wasn't fixed until noon the next day. Later that evening, the front desk called to apologize, offering two beef noodle coupons as compensation, valid for lunch. I told them I was leaving Taiwan the next morning, and after a moment of silence, they suggested, 'Perhaps you can give them to a friend.' Speechless. 😓 The staff were all very polite, but no one could actually solve any problems. They just politely apologized or politely offered incredibly ridiculous solutions.

The clock wasn't working, and the trash can in the bathroom had no power (which I assume means it was an automatic one that wasn't functioning, or it was missing an inner bin). The 'welcome drink' latte looked nothing like the picture. The drinks in the mini-fridge were already opened/damaged. All the umbrellas in the lobby were broken. There was practically no concierge service. The staff seemed short-handed, and the overall operation was quite poor. I even saw a housekeeper using the guest elevator. This place used to be amazing, a real 'white moonlight' (a cherished memory), and now it's fallen so far. It's no wonder SLG (presumably the brand or previous management) has delisted it.

Jacuzzi and massage chair in the room….sold! Staff were also very accommodating and made me a breakfast box to take out. Would happily stay here again 🙂 enjoyed the happy hour drinks too!

I had an exceptional stay at Éclat Hotel Taipei. The room was immaculate and beautifully designed with high-end touches like a Dyson hair dryer and a Nespresso machine. The staff were incredibly attentive and professional, making the check-in process seamless. I also loved the location it’s in the heart of Da’an District, very close to the MRT and surrounded by fantastic restaurants and convenience stores. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Taipei!

Pleasant 5 night work trip here, room rates are reasonable as compared to nearby hotels.

Great for business travelers! Located right in the center of Taipei city, you can see Building 101 easily and mostly every iconic place you wanna be are near by, awesome!!!

Overall great experience at Eclat Taipei The good: - great service and attitude, free welcome drink, friendly staff, decent breakfast, mini bar with actual stuff in it for free - central location - great value for money Could be improved: - no usb sockets - an iron and board in the room would be useful for business travelers - room is a bit small Overall enjoyed my stay (for business) and will stay here again
