Super nice staffs , nice tea and coffee selection in the room. Convenient location.

This used to be one of the best hotels in Taipei, unfortunately the service has fallen a long way since covid. Switches in the room were not working, I tried ordering room service and the front desk staff just hung up on me, and the details I provided immediately were sold to someone who tried hacking my accounts. I use different throwaway emails when I register for hotels in foreign countries, so I know right away when a property is selling the guests info. This was so disappointing because Eclat seems to be a hotel where the owners spared no expense, and every detail was immaculate and with a total focus on art and beauty. But now it seems like the property was sold to scammers and the staff doesn't really care.

Location of hotel is very good but the hotel is a bit run down and service is very average. For eg: we were told that breakfast is till 11am during weekends. We sat down at 10:25am on a Saturday morning, we were the only patrons, we took some food and ordered the hot meal then staff began to clear all the breakfast without informing us and it was only 10:35.

My second time with this hotel and I did not have the most pleasant time with them nor as much as the previous time. That aside, amenities within a 500-1000m are the supermarket, family mart, restaurants and so on. It’s also near a couple of train stations so be sure to explore the underground pass. Iconic view with the 101 in proximity and can walk from hotel to 101 in about 15mins and some shopping areas as well all around. The hotel room is a little small but my qualm with them is the WiFi. Probably some rooms may not have but I have gotten the same problem since my stay with them in November last year. Some blind spots will cause u to lose connectivity but somehow their staff always came back to me with they didn’t find problems with it. But it is really irritating especially when u can’t get decent connectivity in this time and space so I do hope that if I ever stay with them again, this will be rectified. What was most upsetting was on the day when I am checking out (which is today), I received a call from the reception to my room at 10:59am and telling me that I should be checking out now when my check out time is at 11am in the first place. I have never ever gotten any ca before in any hotel and to get this from Hilton groups is to me unforgivable. It should not be the peak season now so is there an issue when I checked out 10 mins late (or less)?

Overall, the room was pleasant, and the location offered a great view of the Taipei 101 street view. However, the breakfast options were limited. The bathroom featured a smart bidet/toilet, but unfortunately, the bathroom door was broken and couldn’t be locked.

Good Location. Room a bit small, but well equip, modern and comfort.

Hotel experience was rather underwhelming. Apart from a reasonably sized room and relatively clean, it falls short of a 5 star rating. Amenities/Facilities are limited, and rather far from the metro. I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

left a charger in the hotel, asked if hotel could courier to a Taipei address (i will pay for it with reverse charges) and the hotel refused to do so. poor service oriented.

Honestly, as big fans of the Eclat Beijing we expected more from the chain. Hotel needs renovation, the staff is super kind but the status of the hotel does not justify the money

Like this hotel for its staff being helpful and its room being clean. Room facility is adequate for my 8 nights business trip. Breakfast option may not be as many as other similar franchise hotel. However, I am there for business trip not personal tourist. Hence, I am happy for this stay.

Chic hotel with nice art decorations and staff can speak good English so there was no communication issues.

Some of the reviews had not been the most flattering for this hotel so I had low expectations going in. However, the stay exceeded expectations. The room was nice, the service very good (allowing early and late check in), and there were nice added benefits like free drinks in the minibar and at happy hour. For improvement, I think the hotel should have a gym or at least offer guests a free pass at a local gym - this would give the hotel more amenities, allowing it to compete better with other 5* hotels. In general nevertheless, the hotel was a great stay at an extremely fair price.
